I want to connect DVD audio wirelessly to my Sonos amp & ceiling speakers via Roam. I think there should be Wi-Fi and or Bluetooth enabled DVD or Bluetooth-ray players out there.Does this sound doable? If so should I go for Wi-Fi or Bluetooth to the Roam?Any other advice welcome!

So, I’m having an extension built and I’m looking for a good quality music system to have integrated. I’m looking at the Sonos Architectural. Just want to know how it works and if it’s worth the money.TIA 

Trying to troubleshoot setup for BBC Sounds, trying to access through the Sonos app as it can not airplay directly from the BBC sounds appI have checked that my country is set to UK, am up to date on iOS settings, using Sonos 2 and believe I should be able to find the BBC sounds app. Playbar was configured initially in Australia, but have moved back to the UK, and Playbar now set up here. The ‘Add Music Services’ option is still displaying apps, stations etc from Australia Is there anything I am missing? 

Hellou! I just bought Beam Gen2 and One SL, I have old Ikea symfonisk speaker. I love the sound of them but I cant pair them use surround voice.Two compatible Sonos speakers are required to add a surround speaker. Make sure the products are turned on and connected to a WiFi network.I have tried reboot all speakers, installed them many time, rebootted router and used ethernet cable to Beam. Nothing has helped,so far.My router is ZTE MC801A.Here is diagnostic number: 74666999.Forgive me for my bad English :)Greetings from cold Finland!-Henri 

I am setting up a new 15ft x 20ft family room from scratch in my remodeled home. I have already run wiring for two ceiling speakers in the right and left rear of the room. My intent is to use those two ceiling speakers as surrounds for the TV, and as music emitters when the TV is not in use.My hope had been to buy a single Sonos Amp, hook it up to the ceiling speakers, and use the HDMI eARC port on the TV (a new LG C1) to drive the surround signal to the ceiling speakers. I had envisioned only needing the Amp for the surrounds, and just using the TV’s built-in speaker(s?) as the front audio, without springing for a soundbar. (They seem expensive and I’ve never really appreciated soundbars for TV. Not an audiophile. But I would like to have surround sound for movies.)Is this setup possible? Or do I have to have a Beam(gen2) or Arc in order to use the Amp to drive surrounds? (I’m using an Apple TV 4k, latest, for content, if that matters.)Looking around online, it seems like in order to

Is a DAC needed when using Airplay 2 to connect an Apple device to a pair of SONOS 5 speakers?

My wife and I currently have a 5.1 setup with a Beam, two One SLs, and a Sub. My wife would like to buy a move to replace one of the One SLs. Her goal is to be able to take the Move into another room to listen to TV or music that's going on in the living room. Is there a way to do this? I've read to make the surrounds "Full" but I'm only seeing that as an option for music.

If I plug my Sonos amp directly into my router does it act as a boost creating SonosNet?The boost has been a lifesaver to create SonosNet but if I don’t need it because the amp can do that job I’ll ditch it.

When doing a search for a song, album or artist the sonos app only searches Apple Music: My library and will not search the rest of the Apple Music catalog

When had whole system set up, for some reason this Arc wouldnt recognize the two symfonisk (nor would they recognize each other as possible stereo pairs).. so i started totally fresh factory restart, only these three speakers, still nothing, and i can’t figure it out. I do have a unifi set up which i’ve read has issues, but I have an arc with two symfonisk bookshelf in another room and it works fine. Only thing weird I notice is in my routers client list i see the frame speaker called a Play 5, and the bookshelf shows as an Ikea manufacturer rather than Sonos. is there something beyond a factory reset?Thanks 

I’ve got a Sonos beam (Gen2) a Sonos one (Gen2) and a Sonos/IKEA SYMFONISK picture speaker all operating in 1 room. I want to be able to when I turn my Tv on the Sonos one and the SYMFONISK play instantly with the beam sound bar rather than going into the Sonos app and selecting the speakers I want to play. Is there a way I can add the other 2 speakers to play automatically? 

Hi, I see this issue have been around a while but I guess it keeps happening.  I just purchased the arc, sub and two Sonos SL and I was listening to music through Spotify. I adjusted the volume down and turned the screen of and put my phone in my pocket. The volume increased fast and reached 100% within a few seconds. Both me and my daughter had a scare (however, she cried more than me). Now, I capped the volume seeing as I want my kid to grow up being able to hear But it seems as using the spotify-app is not entirely stable. Had the same problem once again today.  Speakers are up to date, Sonos and Spotify as well. Running ios 15.   

When I use Alexa voice control  to play music on The ARC  (using Amazon music ) it never plays hd music.  Only when I use Amazon music (which I keep having to reauthorize via delete and adding again) through the Sonos app does the hd kick in. Basically using Alexa on the arc won't play high quality music. Why is that? Is there a fix? Is it a known issue cos it sure as hell bugs me.

Hi. Just bought a Beam 2 which is impressive but there is a problem playing a dvd or blue Ray disc. To do that on my Panasonic I need to switch from HDMI 1, my TV, to HDMI 13, the Blueray player. However the TV remote no longer seems to have access to controlling the TV. I have no idea why a sound bar would make my TV remote inactive!I control everything else through my Sky remote but can find no way of actually using the Blueray player.  can anyone help me please?

I subscribed to YouTube Premium so I can listen to my favourite YouTube music on Sonos. However, I am unable to find YouTube Live Streams on Sonos. My favourite DJs often stream live and I want to play those on my Sonos speakers.How can I do this please?

I expanded my networking gear. Router’s WiFi is off, instead I connected an Asus ZenWiFi AX Mini mesh system to serve as WiFi. Some devices in my network are Ethernet based, others through WiFi. Asus has its own DHCP server. So WiFi based devices are in another IP range than Ethernet based. WiFi is super stable.My Sonos should run WiFi based, due to the remote positions in the house. To make sure I had a clean installation, I reseted all my Sonos devices by holding down play/plus while connecting to power. Those are my Sonos devices: Sonos Bridge Sonos Connect Play:1 Play:5 (gen 1 Sub (gen 2) PlaybarFirst I spent more than an hour trying with the Sonos S1 app by just adding one single device through WiFi. Sometimes I was pretty close, able to see a device. Then process asked me to switch over to SONOS WiFi which I did. In the next step switching back, the process stoped because app unable to connect. In other attempts the SSID SONOS did not even appear, even when app suggested to conne

After I updated my Sonos Play 5 at Xmas the sound quality has significantly deteriorated, in particular the vocals are suppressed. This seems to be a common issue. Can anybody advise me how to resolve this please 

Hi.  My Sonos app started acting wonky yesterday and continues today.  I selected a music channel from my favs using Pandora and even though the music plays the correct station the information screen is "stuck" displaying the wrong music.   I tried switching the channel using Amazon music but same result...still showing different music.  Ideas?  Uninstall and reinstall?   Thanks.

I’m considering a pair of Fives.  I’ll primarily use AirPlay for streaming locally stored content, but my wife likes to just ask Alexa to play music.  Given that Alexa is not built in, I'm not 100% following how to set it up and what the end result will be.  I see the instructions for adding the skill.  But is an Echo device required to use Alexa after it’s all setup? Or can I just use the Alexa app on an iOS device to stream after setting it up?  I really don’t want to have to add another piece of hardware just to use Alexa on an $1000+ speaker system that’s advertised as supporting Alexa.  If I had to do that, seems like just using an audio cable would be the best way to go.  I'm not sure what value setting up a skill would provide.

HI al,First time poster, I have reviewed similar posts but couldn’t see a clear answer.I’ve recently changed our Wi-Fi provider/network but can’t connect my Beam to the new network.On the Sonos S2 app everything is now greyed out, despite being logged in. There’s no prompt to help me change to the new network, which the official Sonos page says will appear.I’ve been going round in circles looking at the guidance on the Sonos site which isn’t helping.The Sonos is wall mounted so I can’t easily connect cables which I’ve seen mentioned as a solution (seems rubbish in any case to have to connect ethernet cables just to connect to a new Wi-Fi network?!)Have to say it’s really frustrating - the most expensive/sophisticated device in the house is the only one connecting to a new Wi-Fi network has been problematic for.Thanks in advance for any help anyone can provide.Alex 

Hello everyone,I’m new to the Sonos ecosystem. I’m potentially going to work with clients with Sonos systems. My job is to “listen” to what they play in order to make reports of what’s been listened. For this I need an output from the speakers to connect to our hardware, which has a minijack input.If I’m not mistaken there’s no outputs available in any of the Sonos speakers, and it seems like the only way would be to purchase a Port and manage all connectivity from there, is that right? Is there any other option to catch the stream? Maybe via IP, bluetooth? I don’t need the best quality for this, and the Port seems like an overkill, pretty expensive solution.Thanks a lot!

Recently my Sonos Move (the only sonos speaker I own) has been giving me problems when trying to play music on Spotify, either directly through the Spotify app or on the Sonos app.Playback starts but then quickly starts to stutter and then stops. The sonos app then gives me a message about the WiFi network being 'unstable'. I use an Eero mesh WiFi network and according to the Eero app, the WiFi signal strength received by the Sonos Move is full. Furthermore, it's only Spotify that seems to give me this trouble. My Sonos speaker has always been a little temperamental with Spotify, occasionally skipping a track, and giving me the same WiFi unstable message, but this latest stuttering is making it borderline unusable.Are there any solutions for this? If I stream music on other devices in the same room as the Sonos move, I experience no problems, so I don't buy that there's an issue with WiFi signal strength.This is making me seriously consider returning the speaker.

Had a network of 2 x Sonos 1 SL connected via wifi to my Apple TV which is streaming shows and music played on my Samsung TV. Since I added my Sonos Arc, there is no sound when I stream Kayo or try to listen to Spotify. Everything else is ok (Apple TV and music, Netflix, Amazon prime etc) just cannot get any sound whatsoever despite changing the sound settings on Apple TV to stereo (not using Dolby) as advised on previous threads.I then reset my Apple TV (HDMI cables etc) and updated all apps and Kayo and Spotify worked initially but the next day it’s gone back to no sound.  Weird and annoying. Any advice would be most welcome. Thanks in advance.

I'm looking at getting a Port-compatible cd player to integrate our vast cd collection with our Sonos system. Setting it up looks easy and straightforward, except for one thing: how do I control cd volume other than through the Sonos app? Ideally, the remote controlling cd playback would also control the volume. It's going to be playing almost exclusively over the Beam 2. which already supports my tv remote volume control. So is there a way to get the Beam to receive signals from a 2nd remote?
