Somebody sent me a file on whatsapp.  how do I play it on my Sonos system ?

I appreciate that Amazon have changed the format of their products and you can access less with prime however I still have more functionality when I use the Amazon Music app vs accessing Amazon via the Sonos app. For instance on the amazon app I can still see track listings on certain albums whereas on the Sonos app it just launches into playing the album and I’m not able to look at it select certain tracks? 

We’ve had a Sonos One for a while and we use an Apple Ipod Touch to run it. For some reason recently Apple Music has come uncoupled from the Sonos app, so while we can play music on the Ipod, we cant play it on the Sonos.The Sonos app seems to think the Apple Music account needs the subscription refreshed. This is paid up, so not the issue.It seems that the Sonos app cant be updated anymore on the Ipod which also means we are not able te re-authorise the account or even remove it. It would be very disappointing if the Sonos app and therefore the Sonos won’t work because the app is outdated and we are not able to relink the Apple Music account.

Hello everybody,Im writing this topic because i cant find a clear solution to my problem.I got a Samsung TV (2016) where i got my sonos system (sonos one SL x2, Sub, Sonos beam).I’m using the optical cable because this old tv dosent have the eARC HDMI.I’m going to upgrade my tv to a new one and i’m goint to use the HDMI eARC for my sonos system.I would like to know what do i have to do to move my sonos system from the old TV to a the new one.I don’t know if i need only to install the new remot controller or else.Thank you very much for your help. 

I am going to install 4 in-ceiling speakers and connect them to the amp. What speaker cable do I need to use for the connection? Is 2x1.5 cm cable enough or do they have to be thicker - 2x2.5 cm?

I recently bought a Sonos One and Ive noticed that it has a static-like sound. It’s not very loud but noticeable when quiet, it is more noticeable when activating the speaker. The best way to describe the noise is almost like a hard drive sound.Is this considered normal or should the speaker be entirely silent at all times?

Drop songs non stop from various speakers.  I think the software for sonos is under performing.

RE: TV with surround sound and sound bar independant from surround sound.I want to be able to toggle between using the sound bar and sourround sound, in other words I don't want to have surround sound on all the time.Tech said todays TV's don't allow for the toggle back and forth (HDMI)? optical?A solution might be a Sonos amp and a sonos sound bar that would work but I have a few concerns.Do I have to use the Sonos phone app to change volume?Can I toggle between sonos sound beam and surround sound (sonos amp)Can I use the DirecTV box/remote to adjust volume

My 2 week old Sonos Arc died yesterday. Used it during the afternoon without issues and at night, when I connected the TV again, it not longer registered. Followed all the instructions ( rebooting the router, reconnecting the power cable, etc.. ) and nothing worked. The Sonos Arc is completely dead - touching the buttons doesn’t do anything. Sub + Sonos One SL are still powered on and register when I touch the buttons - no power issues at all. All my home theater devices are connected to power surge protected extension cords. The TV is connected to the same extension as the Arc - so is the sub. All are working just fine. My Sonos Arc was a refurbished model - maybe it was a dud? Tried to reach the support team with no success - Live chat says no representatives are available and phone number for Portugal is disconnected.How can I get help? I can’t seem to even find an e-mail contact. I’d like to active my warranty as soon as possible so I can get a replacement. Thank you. 

Hello!Allow me to start mentioning that I am aware of similar threads in the community (this forum and reddit) but none of the proposed solutions worked for me. :(I have been using ARC for over a year without any issue. I recently added a Sub (gen3) and the result is somewhat disappointing: The sub is too quiet. Less than volume 10 I cannot tell the difference it makes, and even at +15 it is not impressive.My setup:LG OLED CXArc connected via HDMI 2 (earc enabled, bitstream, passthrough)I have multiple HDMI connected via Philips sync box (for the lights) - Apple TV 4k (2022) and a PS5.I have tried removing the sync box completely and plugging the ATV / PS5 directly to the TV with the same results.Sub (gen3)All the cables are certified hdmi 2.1The Sonos App tells me I am properly getting Atmos (ATV) or Dolby 5.1 (PS5). The sound is great, it is just the bass being underwhelmingI have tried placing the sub in different locations, true play on and off dozens of times, player with EQ bass

Hello,a SonoS one has been stolen, is there a way to find where it is ,if connected to wi fi, and/or de activate it?

Not fit for purpose the app rarely finds the speakers, lots of people having the same problem, look at the reviews on the Google play store. The old app worked fine.

I have a Fire TV Stick 4K plugged into my Optoma UHZ50 HDMI Port (2). I’m running an HDMI cable from the Projector’s HDMI ARC to the Sonos Amp. Everything sounds great, except the volume +/- buttons on the Fire TV Stick Remote control do not work. The mute button does, curiously, but the +/- do not. I’ve tried messing with the Fire TV Stick “Equipment Management” options to no avail. Is anyone else running a Fire TV Stick with an HDMI-ARC to a Sonos Amp and able to control volume with the remote?  FWIW, I also have an AppleTV plugged into HDMI 3 and it works just fine, I just needed to select the appropriate speakers in the AppleTV Audio menu. I don’t have a similar option in the Fire TV settings. What’s bugging me is the mute button works, but the volume +/- do not. Any thoughts? 

Hihas anyone in the UK noticed the sound dropping out on BBC1 HD? Hear a lot on the football? Annoying as can’t tell if it’s the channel or sound bar. 

I have just purchased a Sonos Ray for my TV.  The TV is connected to the internet by an ethernet cable.  I don’t have a WiFi network as that has proved unreliable in my situation.  So, I want to use ethernet to connect the Ray.My Android phone is 6 years old running on Android v5.1, so it definately can’t run the Sonos App 2!      I’ll need a new phone.But before I buy the phone I’d like to know exactly how App 2 goes about setting up a wired Ray.  Everything I’ve found so far on the Web relates to WiFi setups.  Can someone please point me to a step by step explanation of a wired setup?  I could then make sure that I get the appropriate phone and ethernet setup at the TV end.Thanks in advance,Noel84

Trying to play tunein, it says tunein live isn't available! I don't have tunein live and just want to play talksport. I can play it from sonos app but not through alexa! Please help 

Hi guys,I bought a Roam SL early into my trip here in NYC. I have one back in Australia and know that I need to do the initial setup through WiFi so that I can then use it as a bluetooth speaker for the rest of the journey. I have tried using the hotel WiFi to get it working, but no joy. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

I have just purchased two Boosts to use with two existing Sonos systems, both of which have some S1 only products and so require the S1 app to be used.  I read on the website that the Boost can be used with the S1 app, but when I try to set up the Boost it says it is only compatible with the S2 app.  Can someone advise me please? I recently bought my first Sonos speakers (a set of Sonos One SLs from Costco setup as a stereo pair). I added YouTube Music after a couple of hiccups (something to do with “brand accounts”) and am able to play music on  the speakers. I have an individual YTM Premium subscription.I am running to two, probably related, issues:Launch Sonos app | Search for a song | long press | Play Now: This plays the song, but then stops after that song is done. In contrast, on the YTM app, I have ”Autoplay” enabled and clicking on the “Up Next” tab shows a long list of similar/recommended songs. This does not seem to work similarly within the Sonos app. Launch Sonos app | Search for a song | long press | more | Start Radio: This starts the “Radio” feature - but with a completely random song and not the song I searched for. Is this expected? The song is not completely random though -- each time I search for aspecific song and launch the radio, the same “random” song starts playing.Is this a known issue

Hi allFor some reason when I click on any playlists it just auto plays and does not open the playlist to let me see the songs in it. I have removed Amazon and re added it to my Sonos App. See screenshot attached 

Sonos unable to browse SiriusXM Canada on which I have an active subscription up to about 2 weeks ago Sonos would stream Sirius now NOT.  I have rebooted speakers and router.  I have signed out of SiriusXM and back in.  I have made sure SiriusXM account is active.   I have made sure I latest version of SiriusXM.  This IS a SONOS problem. 

I just bought the arc kit with sub gen 3 one sl x2 and the arc sound bar.Im actually watching Guardian of galaxy 2 on disney+ that is in dolby atmos.The thing is that on my sonos app its saying Pcm multichannel dolby 5.1.I have a Qled samsung Q60 70 inchs 2021.Its compatible dolby atmos and earc.So y is it in pcm multichannel 5.1 dolby???

I have 4 One SL's for music only and just got the Sub. Does the Sub only connect to one of the One SL's or can it be connected to all of them at the same time?When the Sub is connected to one of the SL’s, does it change the crossover of the speaker its connected to but not the other speakers playing or does it know to change the crossover for all that is connected?
