I got a discount code from Sonos and tried to apply it when buying the Sanus Floor stands but it would not give me the discount...Am I doing something wrong or does discount only apply to the electronic purchases?

I just updated to macOS Ventura 13.0.  The next day the Sonos Controller said I had an update.  Pressing the “Update Now” button started the update process normally.After asking for my Admin credentials, I get an error saying “Sonos Update failed.  An unexpected error occurred.  Please try again.” Is anyone else seeing this?Dave Info:Sonos Controller for MacVersion: 14.14Sonos: OS S2Build: 69123100

Hi all,I’ve had this issue for some time: Spotify drops music regularly, Apple Music works perfectly. Things I’ve tried:Change SonosNet Channel Run ethernet cable from router to Boost Position Sonos products as close as possible to main Boost (including another Boost). There is roughly 20-25 ft between the main Boost and the next product. All other products are about 10 ft away from each other. Reboot system Re-authorize Spotify service Move wireless devices like cordless phone away from speaker Confirm sufficient download speeds Set up a speaker in same room as main Boost to see if it improved the issue (it still skipped, though maybe not as often?)Things I cannot do:Change my wifi network channel. I use Eero, which prevents users from changing the channel manually.  Remove Eero extenders, which lets the wifi network reach the basement office. While not listed by Sonos as unsupported devices, I understand this may be an issue.Things I haven’t tried, but am skeptical:Change ethernet ca

I am getting distortion from my Move speakers with my Audio Technica turntable (has a preamp)Connection>AT turntable >Sonos Port (Line In) > Move x2    (Wireless connection)Also have to turn volume up to + 50 just to get a normal level  any suggestions?

I just got the arc and sub gen 3 And picked up a Connect:Amp gen 2 to power rear in ceiling surrounds.In app set up calls for connecting both arc and amp to router via ether net wire.Is this a permanent set up or temp for them to join together?That's my ?Thanks in advance.Jbarrios60  Moderator edit: Corrected “Amp” to “Connect:Amp” as it’s an important difference for this question.

Hi all,Sorry if this is a seemingly silly question, but after reading several posts, I’m still rather confused.I have an existing Sonos system which consists of a multitude of Play:1’s, a Play:3, and a 5.1 setup with a Playbar and Sub. I now want to add a turntable and maybe a CD player (yes, I have streaming, I know how to rip, etc).I’ve been looking at a Sonos Port, and I know I need a turntable with a pre-amp (internal or external) to hook it up.When it comes to the CD player, I’m confused. I know it needs an analog (RCA) output to connect it to the port, and I’ll need a switch as the Port has only one set of RCA inputs (anything to pay attention to when buying one?). But which DAC is used when I’d play CD audio? The one from the CD unit, or the Port? I would assume the former (because of the analog connection to the Port). If so, what’s the purpose of the DAC in the Port? Is it only when using it e.g. with AirPlay?One last question on the topic of the CD player: I’m browsing the se

Does anyone else have issues with Sonos speakers when playing from Amazon music? I have 8 Sonos One and EVERY TIME I attempt to play an Amazon playlist the music just continuously cuts out from one speaker to the next. Also, after about a minute, the track cuts to the next. I’ve done the usual Sonos recommendations: reboot modem, boost, each speaker…. Nothing works. If I play any of my own music it does not happen. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

My Sonos app won’t play Spotify. I reauthorized it. Says temporary not available. Crud!

I have followed the procedure to get BBC Sounds listed as a music service for my Play1 but it never appears in the list. I have deleted the Sonos app, reloaded it, switched my phone off and on again, updated my Sonos via the app but there is still no sign of BBC Sounds!  I read that I need to ensure that everything is setup for the UK in my profile....can't find "my profile" anywhere in the app. Has anyone any idea or suggestions as to why I can't get hold of BBC Sounds?

I bought a refurbished Play 1, and am trying to connect it to the WiFi. After no luck, I connected it to the router via ethernet, and it worked fine! I then disconnected it from the ethernet and tried to connect it to the WiFi again, but it still won’t work. Anyone know how to solve this?

I have in ceiling sonos speakers connected to AMP which is wired and arc sl +sub on wifi. The sonos S2 app says I have to connect the arc via ethernet cable. Unfortunately, I cannot run an ethernet cable to the arc. How do I have the surround working without arc connected via cable?

I've just bought a Hisense TV and a Sonos Ray soundbar, and they sound lovely together. But like many others I've hit a problem controlling the volume with a remote.I think the TV remote is a no-go, because it is RF not IR. But I also have an ancient Virginmedia remote that controls my V6 box, and I feel that ought to work. But so far, no luck.When I go through the TV remote setup on the Sonos app it asks me to hit the volume key three times. When I do, a light flashes three times on the Ray, so it's definitely received some kind of signal. But it produces the messageWe didn't detect a signal from your TV remote. Point it directly at your Ray when you press the button.I also have a remote for my DVD player and that got further in the setup. But it doesn't have a mute button, so I got stuck at that point.Any suggestions, or am I stuck with the app and the buttons on the Ray? 

Hi my newly purchased Mac Book Pro M2 running Ventura 13.1 shows this message when I try to connect to the folder containing my music “The computer “my MacBookPro” refused to let Sonos connect to it”.       I have installed the latest Sonos S2 controller.       I’ve checked the permissions on the folder.    Any suggestions would be very welcome.     Thanks

Roam seems dead.  It has no lights and holding power does not work nor will a hard reset.  I have tried multiple charges, ensuring they had adequate power.  When I take it off the charger, it flashes an amber light, once, and that is all that happens (no sound).  It is not found in the Sonos app.  Relatively unused and in good condition otherwise.  Is it dead?  Anything else that can be tested to bring it back to life?

The title kind of says most of it. I have a Beam and two Play1 surrounds.  I would like to add a sub to the configuration.  I have a couple of Amp devices that can drive the sub.  I have a third-party sub.Can I configure the amp as a sub driver in the configuration? Thanks!

Hello all, I have a Sonos Play 5 gen 2 & two Play 3s. The wifi on the play 5 has stopped working and after many hours and exhausting every google search I can think of... I have come to terms that my very expensive speaker isn’t going to be wireless any longer. The play 5 works when its connected to ethernet. My current problem is- how do I connect my two play 3’s back into the ecosystem. The two play 3s are wireless and from my understanding they would need to run off the play 5s (now bad) wireless signal? I have had my speakers for years now and I’m starting to feel defeated by what seems like such a poor design flaw. Even if the wireless on the play 5 was operational and i needed to wire one of the speakers via ethernet due to signal issues- why would it make sense to have the other speakers connect to a speaker with poor signal (which is why you would plug it in right)? Hey!I recently bought an amp, sub and two fives.The amp is also connected to a pair of Dali Fazon F5 speakers.I cant get the trueplay to show in the s2 app at all, I guess it doesnt work for the amp connected to the non-sonos speakers but I thought it would work with the sub and two fives? They are added to the system as surround.I have iOS 16.2 and Sonos s2 14.20

Apologies if this has been answered elsewhere.i’m a long time customer of Sonos, my enthusiasm tempered after the botched effort a few years back whereby the forced upgrade resulted in landfill-bound bricked speaker. Even though they reversed that, i was still left w/ a useless Play speaker that could no longer be used-i have to believe many of us lost faith after that -i still purchased and gifted new things like moves,etc. My current setup is a mix of possibly old and new (i’ve lost track what supports what) and i still experience that frustrating lag of sound pushing out to all speakers that feels like water from a hose that you’ve turned on and now wait for it to come out the other end:).ok after that pre mumble, here’s my question:How do i know that i am running the 12 or so speakers i have around the house on the latest, most performant software? What speakers don’t support S2  and if the don’t sould remove them? re group them? i totallly understand the need for hardware upgrades

HiI rent out part of my house on Airbnb. My internet connection is via a single broadband modem connected to three wifi access points. To provide guests with internet access, one of the access point devices hosts two wifi networks - my one and a separate one for the guests. I give the guests the credentials only for the guest wifi.Now I’m trying to give them access to a single Sonos One, so that they can control that One but not the other devices and I can control the other devices but not that One.I’ve tried everything I can think of without success. Most recently I:Created a new Sonos account Reset all speakers With a new phone, joined the guest wifi network Installed the Soinos app on the new phone and logged in with the new account Added the Sonos One to the new system.However, the One can still be played to from my old phone connected to the main wifi rather than the guest wifi.
