Hi,

Quick question about ceiling speakers please. I can see the dimensions online for width and depth but can’t see anything relating to the maximum thickness of plasterboard / wood that they can fit on. Looking at the pictures it secures with clamps so just wondering how wide these go if anyone knows? Would it fit on a double layer of plasterboard for example?

Also with one pair I assume I just run one cable back to each side of the amp, rather then daisy chain?

Thanks

Steve

Hi @Steve2022

Welcome to the Sonos Community!

In the Product Guide for the Sonance In-Ceiling Architectural speakers, I found the following pieces of information:

The Roto-Lock system can accommodate a ceiling material thickness of   1-1/4” (32mm) with the toggle foot cap removed the system can accommodate a ceiling material thickness of 1-7/8” (48mm).

When installing into double drywall or other thicker ceiling materials, you may need to remove part of the two-piece toggle feet.

Also with one pair I assume I just run one cable back to each side of the amp, rather then daisy chain?

Yes. The speakers must be wired in parallel and not in series. Each speaker will need one cable (2 wires) of it’s own going back to the Amp’s terminals. This also applies when multiple pairs of speakers are being wired to the same Amp.

I hope this helps.
