Looking for recommendations for mounting 300 rears. I have an open concept living room. Wondering if anyone has experience with this and if they would even be worth it. I’ve done little map of potentials spots. Note the vaulted ceiling that also runs through the room. Red would be stand mounted behind the sofa, but would that be a problem for sound on the offset sofa? But also marked in red due to wife potentially killing me for trying to place them in that location. Green is mounted on wall about 9 feet up for left rear and right rear 9’ up above a cabinet. Any thoughts or experiences shared would be much appreciated.  thank you  

I have 2 original Sonos ones (i.e.without microphones) which I have as a stereo pair in my kitchen. For quite some time they have worked perfectly using Alexa voice commands using an Echo Dot in the same room after setting up “Kitchen” as my preferred speaker.. Suddenly the right channel stopped playing without any changes being made. When I play music using the sonos app both speakers work perfectly. I have tried:Updating the softwareDeleting and adding “kitchen” again in the Alexa AppUnplugging and restarting the speakersDisabled the Alexa skill and enabled again and rerun discoveryBut nothing has worked.I contacted Sonos support who tried the same steps as above  and then gave up saying “Please note that the two Play 1 are not Voice-capable units, therefore this setup is not supported by Sonos, and we do not have a set of steps that we can recommend, however, what I recommend doing is to check with the Sonos community pages and see if other Sonos using are using the same configurati

Hi All--Another connection issue question :) I have a Beam (Gen2) + 2 One SL’s (OSL) for my living room “theatre.” I noticed last week the OSLs were not firing while I watched Dragon Ball Z so I tried to rejoin them to the network but no luck--”Unable to join OSL to loki”. All 3 products have been on my network ‘loki’ for the past 7 months working flawlessly.I followed the instructions on factory resetting from here (Reset your Sonos product | Sonos), I saw the subsequent white/amber flashing lights that eventually turned green. iPhone identifies the charm, connects to the OSLs but will fail when joining them to loki.Went back into my WiFi AP (a Ubiquiti NanoHD) made sure loki is 2.4Ghz, no crazy filtering rules, ‘forgot’ prior OSL connections just in case there was an IP conflict or something…and nothing. I’ve tried resetting to factory defaults probably a dozen times now, alternating between unplugging power from the wall vs the unit itself, in case that made a difference, leaving th

Been having an issue with my play base lagging from the picture. Slowly gets worse and worse the longer I let it play. I even connected to my tv through Auxiliary cable to try to rectify issue, but still continuing. Tried restarting tv and play base, didn’t fix it. Anyone else encounter this issue?

I currently have a play bar which will be replaced tomorrow with the arc I have gen2 sub2x rear play 3.  After reading the play 3.  R now old should they be replaced if so with what.  ty

I upgraded most of my household to S2 devices back in Feb 2023.  I kept one S1 zone player active for my garage that I controlled using the S1 mobile app on my iPhone. This worked fine for months, but in the past week, the S1 mobile app prompts me to Use the Sonos S2 app, and I’m not clear what changed or what I need to do.Did the S2 software change now support control over S1 devices?  I think I might need to factory reset my S1 device, but not sure.  Thanks for your help.

Just got Beam gen 2, the effects and music is okay but the speech volume is very low when it comes to atmosUsing eARC.The LG Nano956NA speakers ( speech ) sounds much better than arc at volume level 20 - 30 while Beam sound 50 to 80.I m android user so dont have that trueplay options.I tried loudness enabled and disabled didnt see much difference,Speech enhancement is enabled.Bar is in bedroom so not even in a open space. Sadly i can only use TV spakers and HDMI arc individually to use tv speakers i need to switch sound  bar ro optical digial out adapterAny suggestions what i m doing wrong ?

I just got a new Sonos Move.The setup with the Sonos App stops at:“One or more apps on your mobile device are still using Airplay. To continue setup, go into the app and change the audio output for your device, then return to the Sonos app”.I am stuck there since I do not know what device or other app this is referring to.Any suggestions?

Hi I have a problem logging onto Sonos from my iPhone - I get “something went wrong. Make sure your mobile device is connected to the internet and try again”. My iPhone is connected to the internet.I can use my phone to play some of the free services such as radio, however when I try browsing Deezer i get the error “unable to browse music - there was a problem connecting to Deezer.Other devices in our house are fine - they can operate Sonos as usual - the problem is specific to my app/phone (on the latest IOS and app has been deleted/reinstall). Please help!!   

I recently changed all of my Sonos speakers to a separate Sonos Net instead of direct WiFi (one speaker with a wired Ethernet connection).   This was because Sonos still seems to have issues with mesh WiFi networks - speakers randomly disappear from the list, especially if the controlling phone moves from on mesh node to another.This worked well to stabilise Sonos (apart from Roam, which unfortunately does not support Sonos Net).Unfortunately, although the Sonos system now works better for streaming, this seems to have killed access to my local music library on a Synology NAS.   It seems that the music library configuration can’t cope with the speaker and library not being on the same subnet.   Unplugging the Ethernet cable to revert the speakers to WiFi connection brought the library back online immediately.Is this an issue that Sonos are aware of?  I seem to be stuck in a no win situation here - either no music library access, or accepting that sometimes not all my speakers will be v

Hello,  We have a wifi system in the house and the sonos one sl speakers are connected to the home wifi system. We have a pool house woth 4 sonos sl speakers inside and outside but we have another wifi box there because the one of our home is too far away while in the pool. We were trying tto connect the speakers and activate the sonos etc but apparently since all the sonos system is connected to the home wifi and not the pool house wifi then it doesn't work... I hope I'm clear about the situation...  How can we make the 4 speakers of the pool.house work under the same sonos account with a different wifi? Overall what would be  the solution to this situation when you have others speakers that need to be connected to another wifi box? Obviously a wifi box with another code etc...  Thank you in advance, 

I recently changed the location of my music files on my PC (Windows 10) to free up space on my C drive.iTunes is working fine, having recognized the new location of the files, and repopulated the playlists etc from new folder.The sonos app, however, refuses to see the files in their new location, despite deleting app, resetting app, reinstalling app, deleting music folders (under music library settings) and adding them again.I don't understand why when I ask app to update music libraries (which includes the iTunes playlists which iTunes has found in their new location), that sonos says that the files can not be found, or duplicates playlists without either the original or duplicate actually working.And why, even when I reset app, delete it, reinstall it, it still has a memory of old music libraries that no longer exist?Has anyone had success in shifting the location of their files and then getting Sonos to continue to work again?

I just installed a port on my stereo. It was working fine but suddenly I am getting a noise almost like a speaker is blown. But, the volume was  low and when I switched to my CD player it sounds perfect

Got my Arc 2 weeks ago.. after about 2 hours of tv the sound starts distorting, a tick sound every few seconds plus tv sound goes for a fraction of a second.. pause the tv & tick sound continuous… so this must be the Arc not the signal.. I’m using optical as the arc hdmi didn’t work when I set it up, plus the previous speaker was on optical & never had any problems…I’m really p’d off as I waited a long time for my Arc & Sonos customer service is nonexistent….Any advise appreciated…

HiDoes Sonos have different ”settings” for sound when the source of sound is different?When I stream music (stereo) from my Plex server (24/48) the music sounds fuller than when I burn the same music to bluray disc and play it from there. When playing from bluray the surround speakers do not play with same level as when streaming from Plex. Also the user interface on ios app is different - the enhance speech option is available. From the app I can see that Sonos receives TrueHD stereo from bluray so sound is not degraded somewhere in the middle. 

I have a new Synology NAS on a Mac and am attempting to set up an older Sonos system running the S1 app.  I have setup SMB1 (and understand the security risk) and NTLMv1 (same).  I am using the path \\NAS_IP_ Address\music (and have tried \\NAS_IP_ Address\music\media) and the correct name and password.  I keep getting an access denied error from the Sonos app.  I recall, but cannot find, and article from Sonos that talked about setting up Sonos as a user.  I don’t see what this would do for me.  Any advice?

Hi - I have an android phone and have my Sonos app running on it. I cannot figure out how to import my music files on my phone, in the app. I have added Soundcloud etc, but cannot see a way for me to play music stored on my phone, via the app. Can anyone help? Thx

I have a Sonos S1 system at home with a Play 3 and Play 5. I realize these are older products. I have downloaded the S2 controller to try to add the Sonos Roam I purchased today.It’s not letting me add it as it’s showing my S1 products and labeling them incompatible. I’m not seeing Roam at all (it’s powered on). Don’t really know what to do at this point. 

I would like to listen to TV audio through my Sonos Port and other 4 Sonos Amps.  I currently have a surround sound receiver playing TV audio and the receiver is connected to the Sonos port.  I was told by Best Buy that the only way to do this is use a sonos sound bar but that defeats the purpose of the receiver / surround sound system.  In a perfect world I would be able to watch a television channel (perhaps a football game) on Directv and hear the sound throughout all of the Sonos amps in my home.

I have seven play fives first generation and one sub and lately the app has been crashing, I’ve done everything that they recommend resetting my server my router, and restarting my app on my phone, and it does it again. Everything‘s been updated and I have an amplify router so it definitely reaches to the garage. What the heck is going on? Is there anything it’s all updated to date and still plays for a little bit and crashes

After factory resetting the Sonos Connect AMP, I am unable to add the device to my account.I press the play/pause button as I connect the power cord and wait 15 seconds until the lights begin flashing white and orange, but the lights never begin flashing green in order to show the reboot is complete.In addition, if I attempt to add the Sonos Connect AMP to my account while the lights are flashing orange/white I can never get past pressing the play/pause button to connect the device.Really appreciate any help on this.Thanks

HiI have a Play:3 and in our last house I’m 99% sure we had an antenna we plugged into the back so it connected to Wifi/Bluetooth.The only antenna I can find since moving doesn’t plug into it so I’m trying to figure out what replacement I need to buy so that my phone will connect to the Sonos and we can play music.It has a bronze/gold circular hole at the back and an Ethernet cable on the back.ThanksWill
