Hi Sonos,I'm going on holiday in America soon and was planning to buy the era 100's there, so I can use them in the Netherlands. Because of the major price difference, its very tempting to buy them in America. Can I use the era 100's without any problems in the Netherlands? Or is there something I need to take in consideration? Kind regards, Nathan

HelloI can’t progress past the orange & white flashing light stage of a factory reset of my Play:1. When I attempt to add the speaker, although the set up procedure finds the Play:1 lets me add it to the temporary Sonos network, I get no ‘audio pin chime’ from anywhere, so I can’t progress. Any advice?Kind regards

I use my Sonos speaker for my computer set up. When I log on it connects perfectly but when my son logs onto his side of the computer the speaker won't connect. Airplay can see it but it won't connect. There should be no issue as I don't need the speaker except with the computer. Can I set it up to allow the computer to connect regardless of user? Cheers

I have an external hard drive with new/old music. I have amps, speakers, etc. in house and use Sonos. I want to add and organize the music from my hard drive to all of my streamed music collection. I’ve been told I need software like Elmedia Player to play the music which has created stress and dead ends.Why do I need Elmedia when Sonos runs all of my music now? Do I need a laptop,( or just Sonos) when I don’t intend to use it when I play music? Do I need to copy the music to Apple Music so can then add to Sonos? Seems redundant. I’d like to keep the music on the hard drive, plugging it in to my router, or____??? So I can just leave it there.Essentially, want to use an app to organize (into playlists) and play (all of my) music on my home stereo, and of course have access to this same music on my iPhone.  

I use my phone to start HBO Max and then use the Chromecast built-into my Vizio TV to watch it there. When I do this, I can see the Arc’s light blinking, quickly increasing the volume to max for absolutely no reason. I have to immediately open the Sonos app and reduce the volume slider or my neighbors will hear it down the street. When I use Airplay instead of Cast (even though Cast also used the HBO Max app built into my tv), this issue doesn't occur.Why is this happening? I have an Arc with two bonded era 300s. 

Can I connect sound bars in each TV room?  I'm spoiled and refuse to listen to a movie any where out of tv speakers.

My sonos app constantly tells me that it is "Unable to connect to sonos. Let's fix it". This only hapoens with my Era 100, not the my Beam.The app then it sends me on a 5+ minute long wizard in which always ends with me having to reset my router before i can use sonos on my phone. Then in about 24 hours, or if I unplug the sonos to move to a different room, i have to do the entire thing over again for me to use it on my phone.I just reset my router about 5 hours before this post and it was working. Now my sonos app now says it cannot connect. How do I prevent this? What is breaking my connection? 

In reviewing the input to the ERA 300, it uses a USB-c connection then guides you to use their line-in adaptor or combo adapter. Problem is, the eARC out on my TV is HDMI. Am I supposed to try to find a super high speed HDMI cable with USB-c on other end? IMHO using all of the adaptors is asking for issues and compromises the potential quality of the signal. How is someone supposed to connect the ERA 300 to the eARC out on a newer HDTV? I believe wired connections are superior and much more consistent than wireless/bluetooth. Any assistance is appreciated, 

Hello-  I’ve got a new AVR/amplifier.  I have hooked up everything but my old Sonos 1 ZP and I’m not sure where to put that.  The old red and white pigtail cords could only go in a couple of places (notably “audio in”), or maybe I should use the optical port, which I see the back of the player is configured for.  Any ideas on which would be the best and easiest way to go?  Thanks in advance.  

What’s the Alexa command to play music that is already playing in another room to play on an Alexa enabled speaker in the room I’m currently in?

I was gifted a Roam and I wanted to add it to my Sonos system. It is incompatible with S1 - and most of my speakers are the same. In the process of trying to split the system, I disconnected a Play:5 from my system. I tried to reconnect it using the various instructions online. No joy! The reason is that when I go to my S1 Controller on my iPhone and +Add Product, it simply refers me to an Update requirement for my system - to S2. I simply cannot add a product to my existing S1 system. 

Having issues with the following devices when setting up TV- Sony 75” Frame TV with Sonos AMP.Getting error when using e-arc port “interference with another device is causing problems”

So I just got an Arc, along with the Sub and surrounds. This is first week I’m using it.  I’m amazed I don’t see this more often on these threads, am I the only one whose Sonos Voice Control goes in and out? I have gone through three straight conversations with customer service the last three days about this, and no resolution. They get close but no cigar and tweaked a bunch of settings. I assume the microphone light should always be on so it can always hear your wake up command, but often it turns off, even when it’s playing music. They’ve tried everything. I’ll give it another day and then plan to get it replaced. Overall I think the system is really cool, but this is starting to get annoying. 

I have a gen 2 connect that will not join my network. When I try a factory reset it does move the the blinking orange but never to green. While blinking orange I can detect it on my S2 app but when I try to add it, it always fails when it tells me to push the play/pause button to add it with the message  of “We didn’t detect a button press from the Connect”

So, sorry if it has already been answered in other topic.Here is my situation for the AMP connexion for 2 different usage:As home theatre:I would like to connect my projector to the Sonos AMP through a HDMI-ARC to beneficiate Dolby atmos.- This Sonos AMP would be connected though WiFi to two Sonos ONE to build the rear surround.- This Sonos AMP would be connected though WiFi to one Sonos ARC to build the front line.As turntable amplification and connexion for the whole Sonos system:I would like to connect my turntable to the Sonos AMP through Audio-IN and stream to all my Sonos speakers.1- Is that possible?2- Do I still beneficiate the Dolby Atmos feature?3- If not, how can I manage it to work?A picture is better than a lot of words.Thank you all for your support

With apologies in advance since this topic has been addressed before…It is my understanding that Alexa can only be linked to Sonos in one location at time. So if we have a primary and secondary residence, when I travel to the secondary residence and try to use Alexa on Sonos there, I will have to unlink it from my primary residence. A workaround suggested was to set up a new Amazon account, but I don’t think this is possible since Amazon now requires a phone number for a new account. And you cannot use the same phone number for two different accounts. When I chatted with Sonos support today about this, this is what I was told: “There is no need to disable the Sonos skill when you want to use the second system.”Am I missing something? Can I now use Alexa on Sonos in both locations without having to disable one?Thanks.

Hello,I upgraded my router (SSID and password unchanged), and now the Win10 PC cannot connect to the system any longer. I tried reinstalling the Sonos application.Both the Beam 2 and PC are wired. All speakers was originally setup to use wifi, but several months ago I was able to reach the Beam with a cable, so I believe the don’t use the routers wifi any longer.I can connect just fine with Android and iPad./Joey  

Hi ,  I connected my Philips 43PUS8848/12 through the optical spdif to my Sonos RAY.  When the TV is “Off” ; standby ; I just listen to the Sonos ( over Ethernet or WiFi) … and after a few minutes the RAY get’s  ( I think) an optical signal and switches to TV .. which is actually “off” . Very annoying.  what’s wrong ? Why the RAY switches to e optical TV while the TV is “off” ?  seph

I have a dolby atmos speaker system (5.1.2), with onkyo tx nr7100 receiver running it. I am thinking of getting a sonos port, connect it to my receiver using the digital output on the sonos port into the digital input on my receiver, and enable work with sonos passthrough mode. My question is this: Will my system be able to play the dolby atmos spatial music from apple music, if i stream it from the sonos app?

I've already setup my Move2 to my wi-fi network...I just recieved my Sonos Ethernet adaptor...What are the steps to EASILY switch over ?Do I need to reset my Move 2, and start all over again and if so, could someone list th individual steps...Thanks...

I am going to be using a Sony STR-AZ7000ES receiver in a true 13.2 surround sound setup, with a Sonos port lined into 1 of the 3 @ 12V trigger inputs on the Sony. I mostly work in networking over that of A/V, but still do a ton of A/V work throughout the year. That said, sorry if this is a novice question, but what type of cable is used to connect the Sonos Port to respective input on the Sony receiver? It looks to me like it’s just a 3.5mm cable? Or is it something else?Thanks!

I have a Playbar that's about 6 years old but rarely Used. I reset it to where it's flashing green and downloaded the app. In setting up a new system, I selected product and the app could not fund the playbar. In speaking with customer service, he informed me that these older Sonos products are incompatible with wifi6 and that i should call my isp to disable wifi6 in my household. Wondering if this is true as he sounded like he was just making conjectures. Any help would be appreciated.  BTW, when I hard wrote wired it, it worked. I need it on wireless and my network cable won't reach.  Tia!

Hey all,  I’m encountering an issue with my Sonos One that’s driving me crazy and I feel like I tried everything, so I’m looking for help at this point.  I have two ‘rooms’ setup:The main setup with an Arc, Sub, two rear Play:1s that’s working perfectly - we’ll call this the Arc group A solo Sonos One that we bought around 2018 and has been used for ambiental music, especially at night on Sonos Radio.  Everything has been working perfectly until recently and we’ve been adding/upgrading Sonos products in our system since we started. However, recently (about 1 or so months ago), the Sonos One started behaving weird, stopping and then becoming inaccessible until we unplug and plug it back in. I’ll detail the setup, the problem and what I tried - if anyone has ideas, i’m open to suggestions.   The setup:All speakers are on wireless network The network is served by a fairly high-end Asus router - this is not a recent addition and the system has worked flawlessly until recently - no changes

I have an Arc SL connected to and mounted below the TV. In the same room behind the couch I have a Connect:Amp with my turntable as input and 2 passive bookcase speakers + a non-sonos subwoofer as output. The bookcase speakers and sub are perfectly positioned for complete surround sound. But since the Arc and Connect:Amp are on the different versions of the app, I can’t get them to work together. Is there a decent workaround for this that would give perfectly synchronized audio? Or is the best option to upgrade my Connect:Amp to the next generation Amp?
