I got a new sonos one and it connects to the app fine. Then all of the sudden when I exit out of the app then open it back up the sonos one is not listed in my system. It happens on everyone’s somos app in the house and I thought it was a product problem so I exchanged it. But it is still happening. I tried to turn off my router and then set up all systems again and it is still not working. So every time I want to use it which is a lot I have to factory reset it and set it up again.

About 20% of the time, when trying to start a music stream from off / not playing, when selecting a preset streaming station or streaming station from “recently played” within the android app, the Sonos will instead play the streaming station that was last playing earlier in the day.  The icon / graphic is for the selected station, but when you listen, it’s not the station displayed or selected, but rather the last one played earlier in the day. I also have an iPad with this app / PC, but rarely use them, so can’t 100% tell if this is android app related or sonos related (irrespective of app OS).   Anyone else have this issue?  Eventually I can select the stream again (via presets) and after 1-2 it will play the intended stream, but since the icon is always the selected one, you have to wait to hear if you’re actually listening to your intended station.  Been happening last few months.The Sonos speakers I am connecting to don’t matter (I have home surround (play bar, sub, 2 play 1 surr

TV connection no longer appears in Sonos App after connecting Shield to Samsung TV which in turn successfully controls Beam volume. Need to be able to play TV Everywhere thru app.

Hi Everyone,When I add a product and it finds my system (new model amp (low profile black amp)), when I add it to the WiFi it comes back with an error message saying “There was a problem connecting your Sonos Amp to (my network name)”.  I have tried connecting the amp to 1) my router, 2) my wifi extender.  The sonos item wouldn’t connect to either but just gave me this error message. Any advice on what to do?  This issue started when I got a new router.  I haven’t been able to connect it.  For what it’s worth my router is an Asus.

Hoping to gain some insight on how to set up my system. I currently have a Sonos Amp powering 2 Klipsch in ceiling speakers in my family room. I use it primarily to stream music but also use the speakers occasionally through the TV. The speakers play through the Line In input on the Amp that is connected to my Xfinity box. However, I just purchased a Beam soundbar to use with my tv as well. I connected this to to the TV via HDMI ARC. So, when I play the TV through the Beam and also turn on the ceiling speakers, there is a noticeable delay in the ceiling speakers. I suspect it is because they are playing through line in. Any advice on how I should set this all up to work correctly? I see a bunch of literature saying this can be done, but little to no literature stating HOW it should be done. Any assistance is greatly appreciated!

All of a sudden my Sonos sub woofer stopped receiving power.  I literally never had an issue with my Sonos system until this happened.  I’ve read all of the topics about resetting it.  That isn’t the problem.  I need help powering the darn thing back up. What can I do?  Are there any repair shops that can look at this?  I contacted support and they want my sub for a 30% off a new one?!?!!??? Not! 

How do I play Apple Music, Spotify and BBC Sounds through my Play1 when the option to do so is not available on Add Music Services?

I am considering either the Victrola stream Carbon or one of the two Pro-Ject turntables sold by Sonos (the T-1 or the Debut Carbon). I realize that I will have to buy another Sonos device to use one of the Pro-Jett turntable, and that is alright with me. I would appreciate any responses from people who have one of these turntables or who know something about how they compare. I have a collection of records (mostly. cassical music) from years ago that I would love to listen to.

Experiences time limited disruption of communication between sonos and apps, both Spotify and radio app. Any suggestions? 

Hello,Due to an optical fiber installation in my home, I have to move my ethernet router box close the fiber entry point.I couldn’t anymore connect my SONOS accoustic speaker with a wire connection to build my network (1x S1, 1xS3 and 2 S5) .What speaker can I use to replace my actual S1 entry point for a wifi connection in place of wire connection on my router box.Thanks for your answer.Claude

The Lowest Volume on my Sonos One and One SL is too loud. The amount of volume difference from 1% to 0% is insane. I cannot be the only one who has this issue or thinks this is a problem. I am trying to watch TV at night, and just having these speakers on at 1% is way too loud. I have messed with every setting, even played with the volume limit of my paired Beam, but still, the stark contrast from when the speaker literally has absolute zero volume, to just the very next and very first step is wayy too much. I have wrapped them in towels, even acoustic sound absorbing panels, but there has to be a better way.. It just literally makes no sense why the volume control is so weak[Which then brings up another question/thought: What do you guys normally set your volume to? I don’t believe I have ever even remotely went past 65% on purpose, and my tv is regularly set in that 12-18 range.]

I believe I am signed up and paying Sonos extra not to have advertisements interrupt my music listening, however as of late about every 15 minutes an advertisement pops up ruining my music listening pleasure. How do I stop your advertisements? I really hate this distraction. Irritated Sonos Listener

hi,one sl surround gave me crowd noise on live sky/tnt football. using era 300 this seems to have gone ?.netflix i get dolby atmos confirmed on s2 app & surround audio.has the era 300 some how restricted surround audio as all i see on app is dolby digital  2.0.hope this maks some sort of sense.thanks

Hello All Fellow Sonotians !! I have a fairly substantial Sonos system (12 devices on S2) with a fairly substantial mesh network all in a fairly substantial (5000+ sqft) home. I have 6- EERO 6+ spread throughout 2 adjacent structures (main Home and shop).  I have 2- isp here both xfinity gig plus, and an Att fiber 1 gig.  To reel back For years I had the older Eero 2nd gen, spread over here as well as only xfinity. Life was grand Sonos was seamless. Never skipping, never missing a beat. EERO stopped updating the older routers so I removed these and replaced with the 6 plus units. Life was still ok so I thought , the music was fine at night or on the weekends. I noticed it started to skip more and more frequently… so I called in xfinity and had the lines checked thinking sure I’m perhaps loosing speed at peak intervals… well all was as good as could be.. I’m testing out well over 800mbps usually, at 4-5 pm on weekdays it drops off sharply so I call xfinity they say there is nothing they

Arc is playing but subwoofer and rear speakers are not. How to fix?

I am using each Ruijie access point in each room of my home. I installed my Sonos ERA 100 pair (stereo) in the living room. The Sonos speaker connects to Ruijie AP in the Living Room. I move to the main bedroom; my mobile phone connects to Ruijie AP in the Main Bedroom; when I open the Sonos application from my mobile, I try to control the Sonos speaker in the living room. The application can not discover the Sonos speaker. The error message tries to connect with the same wifi network of the Sonos system speaker. My setting of the AP Wifi is L2 Roaming, and there is no VLAN. I checked with my mobile phone port scanner application from the AP Living Room and AP Master Bedroom to my Sonos speaker IP address, and there are the same four open ports. Anybody help me solve this issue so I can control the Sonos Speaker from any room? Thank you

HiI know there are a lot of threads on this, so apologies is this is repeated anywhere, but I am struggling to maintain good connections for any length of time.  I do have a tricky house to manage (L shaped) and I have BT wifi disks to get decent Wifi coverage throughout.Current set up:BT smart hub 2, so I can’t split and rename channelsA play 1 hard wired to my router in my study and all other devices connected to the sonosnet - I have chosen channel 11 as my router still has some 2.4hz devices on channel 6I have two sets of stereo pairs.I have two main issues:When checking the matrix, I’m seeing a 9 on the Ethernet connected Play 1 - What I don’t understand is it gets worse in the evening.  For example at 3pm when I was working in the study, the level was a 5.  Now it is a 9, and I’m not in the room, so my laptop is interferring less than it would have been.  why is it now a 9?We often find one of the stereo pairs drop out and needs a reboot.  It doesn’t help that these pairs are the

While I have the Sonos app installed on my Mac (OS 13.6.3), I still prefer using Apple Music to play through my Sonos speakers. In order to do that, I go to Settings > Sound > Output & Input and select my "Office" speakers (Era 300 stereo pair). In Apple Music, I go to the AirPlay icon in the upper right and select my "Office" speakers there also. Lastly, I go to my Mac's mennu bar and select my Sonos speakers from the Sound Output pull-down menu. However, if it works at all, playing to the Sonos speakers using Apple Music only works for awhile. If I'm away from my desk for awhile, if I stop playing music for awhile, or I change artists or playlists, it usually stops playing through Apple Music altogether. For the past year I’d been able to get Dolby Digital 5.1 on my Sonos Arc SL from my Apple TV 4K via my Samsung UN46B7100 TV, optical audio outport to Sonos Arc.About a month ago I stopped getting 5.1 and can only get Stereo PCM. Tried with multiple different apps that normally gave 5.1 (Netflix, Disney+, Max), but all only yield Stereo PCM.Seeking any advice to get the 5.1 back! Just purchased a Roku 65” TV, Roku remote will not control my Sonos Playbar for volume. I can however still use my Directv remote to control the Sonos Playbar. Any suggestions how to get the Roku remote to control my Sonos Soundbar? I prefer to only use one remote.

Verbally asking Google on my sonos arc to play music results in this response: "Sorry, it looks like you haven't set up Spotify Premium on your Sonos app. To play from Spotify Premium, link the same account on both Sonos and Google Assistant."I've tried looking at other posts but I haven't seen any working solutions. I've done exactly as Google said as well as reinstalling apps and reconnecting Spotify to Google assistant and to Sonos. But I still get the same message every time.

I have a Sonos Arc, Sub, and two One SL’s set up as a surround in my living room. The Arc is connected to my Sony KD-48A9 via the HDMI eARC. I have both the Arc and one of the One SL’s connected via network cables to my router. My router has been replaced with a new one during the four years this ongoing problem has occurred. My living room is only small So wifi strength is not an issue as the WiFi router is in the living room.I experience millisecond sound drop outs every couple of minutes. I am pretty sure it only occurs when watching higher quality streaming services eg Netflix in surround sound. it doesn’t seem to happen when just watching normal broadcast TV.i have been in touch with Sonos on multiple occasions since purchasing in 2020, but nothing they have done or told me to do has fixed it. I have an ARC 2 connecting to a Samsung TV. It has worked fine for a year. I switched my streaming device from a Roku to a Direct TV streaming. Now I can’t get my ARC to connect even after I switched back to the Roku.
