HI, I had this installed last year by the Best Buy Team.  My tv, ARC and Sub (gen3).   i realize now that the SUB gen3 is not on.  I tried to use the ap,but still no sound.  Its plugged in.  Is it supposed to turn on automatically when the TV and arc come on?   How do I get this working again?   Any advice would be helpful.  Thanks!

We’ve just had a new kitchen extension (8m by 5m) and I’m wondering what best music set up would be? I own a Sonos one but I understand I can’t ’stereo pair’ an old ‘one’ with new era 100…option 1 - buy 2x Era 100 stereo paired and a sub mini grouped togetheroption 2 - by 1x Era 300 and sub mini groupedWhich option would give me best sound fill? option 3 - buy another  Sonos one and just stereo pair with existing Sonos one - and no sub Any advice would be appreciated  

I have had my domestic Sonos system for the past decade, linking to a steadily growing digital music folder on a Seagate NAS.  I have the app loaded on a Samsung S23 Ultra, an HP All in One operating WIN10, an MS Surface Pro running WIN11 and a Kindle Fire.In January I added seven albums and although I can see that they are in place, in the standard WMA format, with all supporting data as required (Windows Media Player is my main ripping tool) Sonos is NOT seeing them no matter how many times I do a Music Library Index update.I went online and saw that there is a track count limit (65,000), I am at 26,100...I saw there was an unspecified memory limit and had a look at my file sizes, deleting a number from my registry where they appear to have been too large by comparison to other similar recordings to free up memory but that made no difference.I deleted and reloaded the app on all devices, and have ordered the Library update from each controller separately. I’ve been having quite the time trying to figure out how to configure and set up Sonos to work both locally (on the network that the NAS drive is on) AND remotely (another location with Sonos speakers on a different network). It appears, from what I can tell, that this *should* be possible, however I can’t seem to add the music library when I’m on a different network. I have a hunch it may be an issue with the NAS drive’s configuration, but I’m still investigating. However, I just got off the phone with someone from Sonos support, and they told me that it is *not* possible to access a NAS drive remotely (from a different network than the drive is on), even though I referenced this article from the support site multiple times along with Community threads, which all appear to indicate this should be possible. I tried to use my Sonos library recently and found it had disappeared. Efforts to replace it with the original are not working despite Sonos’ instructions to my mobile being followed. Anyone else have this problem ?

Wondering the best config for a riding arena. I have 4 play 3’s (from 5-6 years ago), 2 fives (late 2023) and am happy to buy another pair if needed. The arena has good coverage (several nodes) from a decco/tp-link wifi 6e tri-band mesh network. I’m wondering a couple specific things. Should I be pairing the speakers or leaving them as individual? Also, will I have a problem trying to connect so many over such a large distance as a “zone?“ Also, will it be better to have them across the arena from each other down the long sides or better to have 1 on each short side as well? Any other thoughts or advice would be welcome as well. Thanks in advance for any feedback.

I am Trying to set Up my Alexa on my sonos one. o i went through the steps and as soon a i try adding the sono skill and need to log in into my sonos account i get the message that i need to update my app which is up to date and then also that i need to register a speaker onto my account which is working fine through sonos app. When i log into my online account and check under my system Menu i get a mesage showing no devices registered. How do I get it to add then. Also tried adding Google assistant and exactly the same problem. 

I have 7 Sonos speakers (1 Play 3, 4 Play 1s, 2 Ones), a Connect for my stereo, and a Boost.  The Boost is wired by ethernet cord to my Unifi Mesh network.  I keep my music stored on a Synology NAS with a Plex database on it.  My music collection is large and I have outgrown the ability to use the Sonos Music library and the Apple music limitations, so I have turned to Plex.  I can play music seamlessly from Apple Music on the Sonos App, but the Plex connection is frequently “lost” while trying to play music from Plex on the sonos App or thru Plexamp.  I’ve been on the phone multiple times with Sonos and run diagnostics and they don’t see any problems.  I can play music on my phone with Plexamp at home and anywhere I travel with no issues.  I don’t know if I am missing any settings on my wifi network or what.  I’d love to get some insight from others facing similar issues

recently i was listening to my S2 speakers.  Sometimes i use the voice feature to raise or lower volume.  Well, today i tried to increase volume, all of a sudden the speakers were wide open.  i immediately unplugged unit... could i have damaged my speaker??  it still sounds good, wondering it i could have damaged speaker

Hey, during a Sonos S2 app upgrade, the Dolby Atmos logo is lost in the app with previously spatial audio songs on Apple Music, even Sonos Spatial Audio list misses it. It worked beautifully earlier. Is it broken or is the logo just omitted in the app?

Diagnostics number 163658452is there any update yet on the progress of a fix for Era100 connecting to Sony BT turntable but no sound? I’m hoping there is good news very soon or my pair of Era100 will have to go & be replaced with another brand of speakers.

Sonos Era 100 paired with Sony-PS-LX310BT turntable was working just fine.  Now, no sound.  Have tested Sonos speaker with tv, phone, airplay.  Speaker works just fine.  All updates are complete.  The cartridge is not loose.  Why the sudden issue with the Sony turntable?  What can be done to listen to vinyl with this combination?

We are renovating our home and plan to put in new Sonos speakers in three areas: 1) living room with Beam and in ceiling sneakers; 2) covered outdoor patio with two speakers; 3) And pool area with two outdoor speakers. What is the best way to go about setting up this three zone system with Sonos? Will the Sonos Amp allow me to set up three zones? 

I am able to pair my Sonos Move 2 with the television (tv about 4 years old) but no sound comes from the Sonos.is it possible to play the sound from the tv through the speaker and if so, any suggestions to fix would be gratefully received?

Feature Request:  I am a huge Sonos fan - with multiple rooms, Stereo Era 300, Stereo Era 100, Stereo 5’s, and an arc 5.1 home theater and even a Sonos connect to drive my hot tub system.  I would very, very much like to add a second sub to my stereo 5 setup (yes, it's a lot of base), but the room and music are asking for more.  I am contemplating leaving Sonos speakers and using a Sonos Amp and non-Sonos speakers and subs to do it, but I would prefer just to add a second SUB.  It's just software and an extension of what you can do on the home theater please enable this.Thank you for considering it - if someone knows a way to do this I would value that as well.  -jamieA separate note is very interesting how the Era 300 pair and the 5’ pair sound so different in different rooms.  The Era 300 pair do not work well in a bedroom with a lot of soft fabric and surfaces.  The 5’s sound amazing in that room.  The Era 300 pair sounds magnificent in the kitchen with hard surfaces, whereas the 5’

I’ve had my system set up for over a year now. This past weekend, when a Spotify commercial comes on, the system goes silent. Both Spotify and Sonos look like the ad is playing but there is no sound and it doesn’t actually play down and start playing again (the ad or music). I have to pause Sonos then hit play again. Any idea what is causing this? It's annoying to have to stop and start whenever a commercial comes on.

Hi, have been using Sonos for 10+ years now… have a couple of devices and my Play:5 (or S5) has an update available but wont do it with error code 30 - have reset it, connected it to cable and all that stuff, it just wont update.That is a stupid thing to begin with, but WHY ON EARTH cant I use it anymore? It worked JUST FINE until your damn apps found some update for it.Is there any way to ignore/skip that update? How hard can it be to keep the device usable? Its so annoying that a software issue blocks perfectly good hardware from being used. And it not really a bug but seems to be more a stupid design decision.Kind regards from sunny Norway,Thomas

Hello all,I have an Era 300 and I seem to remember reading somewhere (here maybe?) that you only enjoy Dolby Atmos/Spatial when you stream Apple Music via the Sonos app?Firstly is this true?I ask as the actual Apple Music app is better set out (in my opinion) and feels more user friendly.  For example in the actual/direct Apple Music someone at Apple (presumably) has created a playlist with the songs performed at a concert, just as an example….When using the Sonos app to access Apple Music it’s not as well set out, user friendly and misses the nice touch I detailed above along with other niceties…..The Sonos app seems to dip into Apple Music and I prefer the actual Apple Music app…By streaming via WiFi from my iPad, using just the Apple Music app am I losing lossless/Dolby Atmos/Spatial that I can only enjoy by using the Sonos app version of Apple Music?Thanks in advance….. 

Not able to get 5.1 only stereo pcm. Sonos beam and one sl’s connected. I have a Sony tv that supports hdmi arc. Have used hdmi and optical line to connect sound. just no 5.1 any help much appreciated - very frustrating  cheers Paul

I have been getting this message when I add music locations on folders that have say 100+ or more albums in it.  I do not get the error when I link file paths that are smaller (less than 100 folders/albums) so i don’t think its any find of firewall issue.  All the music files are on a secondary internal hard drive (not on the main ‘C’ drive).  Seems like some kind of timeout issueI am using the S2 app on a Windows 11 machine and have a variety of speakers connected (Era 100, Play1, Sonos One). 

Hey there!I have a pair of Sonos era 100 since a few weeks - everything worked perfect so far…I use them as a Stereo Pair (L+R) - sound is amazing…Most times i connected my iPhone or iPad with bluetooth because with Wifi are sometimes few seconds where the speakers set off… so that’s why i mostly use bluetooth…I always was connected to the right one with Bluetooth cause its just necessary to connect to one of them to have the stereo sound… since a few days I connect as usually but you don’t hear a sound…but I didn’t change anything… today I tried to connect with the Left one with bluetooth and it works like before… so my question is: what happened with the right one? Is there a damage?
