I have in ceiling speakers powered by a sonos amp. I currently have them connected to my TV and sound coming from the ceiling. I am not a fan of the location the sound is coming from, and while I'd like to eventually get an Arc or Beam, I'm not quite ready for the splurge.I am wondering if there's an interim solution where the sound can come from the TV and the ceiling speakers can be used as surrounds.Is this possible?

I am running an S1 system on a new Studio Mac and my music library is on a Synology DS 1522+ Nas.  I have enabled SMB1 and NTLMV1 and used a separate login to the NAS just for the Sonos.  However, I have two ZPs, a Connect and Connect AMP that can not play music from the library.  The message is access denied.  However, I have a Play 3 that works, a One SL that access the library just fine.  I also have a newer Sonos Port (running in S1) mode that also can access the library.  Note that the devices that can’t access the library can stream my music services on Sonos just fine.  I have checked my logs and firewalls and do not see any issues of blocking the IPs of these devices or anything else.   Any help is appreciated!  Stu

I occasionally have issues with the voice and picture not syncing. I have tried the TV Dialogue Sync on the app but still can’t them to sync.   any ideas on what is causing the issue?

Hello everyone, I’ve been using Sonos for a while now, pretty easy to used once you get the hang of it. I recently discovered that for some reason even though my Apple TV seems to connect fine with my stereo pair of era 300 no sound is coming off from then, only from the YouTube app. Can anyone please help before I smash tthem To pieces 

Hello I am new to the whole sonos ecosystem and I am curious if you can have a pair of Era 300’s and a sub gen 3 and have them work together. Do I need a soundbar. Thank you

Hi, all,I recently inherited a system of Gen 1 Play:5s and a Connect amp. I struggled a bit to get things set up, but Sonos support was extremely helpful! The S1 app on my iPhone and my iPad both see all the devises.Now, however, I wanted to add my wife’s phone, an android. When you first fire up S1, it gives only two options: build a new system or join one. I can choose “Join an existing system,” and get to the stage where I’ve pressed the two buttons on a nearby device for her phone to look for, but it never gets beyond that point. Eventually the device times out.Any suggestions?

Hi alli bought a five today (first Sonos product). I register it fine and everything is working beautifully…..apart from setting up ALEXA. when I try and register the device in the Alexa app or enable the skill it just sends me in a loop that ends in the error message: Register your speakersYou need to link speakers to your xxxxx@hotmail.com Sonos account before you can add this skill. everything is registered and up to date. I’ve tried restarting and registering but it just loops the same. Anyone got any ideas? 

I have a new sonos roam. It will set up but won't show up on my system. It is a new system with nothing on it. I am using the Sonos app. Both the speaker and my phone are on my 2.4G network. I have tried factory resetting the speaker several times. I'm super bummed since it's brand new. Any advice?

I would like to rename my speakers just using the app itself.I have 2 SONOS Play 1 speakers set up and they work just fine, but their “names” do not reflect their “location” I’m using the SONOS 2 Controller and the software was just updated about an hour ago.So I’d like to do this WITHOUT using THE FOLLOWING: “alexa” (she doesn’t live here...)“iCloud” ( it was never set up...I don’t use it)“Apple Home” app (Do not want or need it) Like the subject line says: “just using the app itself.”Help!tHANKS

I’ve been a long time customer and really love my Sonos system that I have added to over time. However, in recent weeks we’ve been encountering a number of different issues including:Different speakers randomly not showing up in the app (this is not consistent to specific speakers) Sound randomly cutting out of individual speakers while music is playing (also not consistent to specific speakers) Volume randomly changing on individual speakers while music is playing (note that the volume in the app is not changing but the volume of the actual sound coming out of speakers) Sound from the TV routed via optical cable to Playbar cuts in and out (note this is not an issue with the content/streaming since no issues when using the TV’s built-in speaker for the sound) Search within the app takes an excessively long time and does not consistently return results for connected services  Skipping tracks in the app does not work consistently (will sometimes hang for a bit before skipping, will somet

HI,I am looking to move or transfer a set of Ones to another location where they can be accessed by multiple people via Bluetooth or even if they have to download the Sonos app, and/or add it to their on system as a separate location if that’s possible.  Obviously looking for the easiest way.  What I am doing is taking the Ones to my martial arts studio in hoping to have multiple use them.  I’m not concerned if any services are carried over.  Is it easier to transfer the speakers to a new account and have people logged into that account via the app? I’ve seen numerous responses but, it still leaves me at a loss.  This is the breakdown of what I am trying to accomplish.*Setup a new or separate  system at the studio.*Have the ability for  multiple people use it via Bluetooth or app. Thanks in advance,Mark

Hello from Greece,I have a Samsung model QE50Q60AAUXXH and my Sonos ray.When i change from the TV menu sound source TV speakers my sonos ray still plays TV audio and the only way to stop this is to mute ray (green light on). Does anybody else have the same issue.Chatting with support they told me this happens because ray is connected to the TV.

I have a SONOS system consisting of 4 Play:1 devices and a SONOS Boost device. These have all been working fine until I went from the typical WI-FI system on my modem, to a mesh system. I finally got the Play:1’s to work, but for some unknown reason, the boost will not connect. I have tried numerous times. After each attempt, It would say “Your mobile device couldn’t connect to your Boost. Make sure the Boost is connected to power”. I don’t know why it has to be so difficult! Everything is says to do is already being done!I have tried so much, that I don’t even think this Boost is necessary anymore. I thought I needed it to boost the wifi signal to each device, but not sure anymore

Hii just added a sub gen 3 to my arc and pair of symfonisk. The first phase of trueplay went well but during phase 2 i always get lost speaker message no mather what i do. I have unplugged the sonos system plugged it again restarted router etc nothing submitted a diagnostic: 1786503635what should I do?I am pretty disappointed everything worked fine and I’ve done trueplay multiple times before the subthanks 

I would like to know why i can't see all my titles of my playlist u tube music. However i can listen it but i can't browse, i don't see them in the sonos display

my gen 2 play 5, linked to my gen 1 playbar, have recently been having syncronisation/delay issues and it’s more scary than ever when listening to Radiohead 😁 Seriously, why is this happening and how can i get them back in sync?

Hello,I have a sonos arc hooked up via HDMI-ARC to a new Samsung QLED TV. After a few days the Bluetooth on the remote stops working and I need to turn the tv off and on. This then repeats itself over and over again. I contacted Samsung and they have given me new remotes and even replaced the entire main board of the TV, none of this solves the problem. I then unplugged the arc and this appears to have solved my issue. Does anyone know why the arc would be interfering with the Bluetooth??? It's my understanding that the ARC doesn't even have Bluetooth.Help!Thanks in advance.

Hi, I like to try and run 4 x Linn Komponent 104 speakers and a Sonos sub from my Sonos AmpThe nominal impedance of the Linns is 6 ohms so I appreciate the answer is probably “No”, just wondered if I set the crossover frequency to, say 90Hz to remove the low frequency duties, i might get away with this?I’ve been running 2 x Linn 104s in another room and they do sound great, but the new room I’m configuring is 30 x 16ft with an 18ft ceiling so will take a lot of filling!ThanksChris

My Sonos system, which has worked seamlessly for years, suddenly won't connect to my WiFi. Before going through the setup for each of the 6 speakers, I'm checking if there's a current Sonos issue or if there's something I might be missing. I've already tried the basic WiFi network resetting steps. Appreciate any suggestions. Thank you.

I had Best Buy Geek Squad set up my TV and Sonos Beam. It worked fine for a week. Now I cannot get the TV to play sound through the Sonos Beam.I have gone through the setup several timesUnplug everything and replug into outlet. In the Sonos app I followed the instructions Connect HDMI cable to Sonos Beam Connect HDMI cable to HDMI ARC port Clicked the ‘Connected to ARC’ button I’m told to ‘Use your TV remote to turn on ARC Mode in sound settings’ - I go to TV and tried steps 3, 4, 5 several ways. I Click on ‘Test Connection’ I get message ‘ARC Mode not connected’ In the Samsung TV I go to All Settings > Connection > External Device Manager > Enable ‘Anynet+ (HDMI-CEC) Going to All Settings > Sound > Sound Output > (My only choices are TV Speakers, Receiver(Optical), and Bluetooth) - I kept it a TV Speakers. Going to All Settings > Sound > Expert Setting > I have tried ‘HDMI eARC Mode both as ‘Off’ and ‘Auto’ - When I pick ‘Auto’ the Sonos Beam plays but

My new theater measures 9' wide by 28' long. With the back row of seating at 20'.  What soundbar should I get to pair with the Sub and Era 100's I was already planning to buy?Thank you. 

The optical cable got removed by accident and now the remote will do everything except volume. We have two basic Samsung remotes and they do the same thing. They change channels, and move through menus on the TV and the PS5.Both DirecTV remotes work correctly. I went through the Sonos app and the Samsung remote passed the test (press the volume button) and lit the light on the Playbar at the end of the test, but then it does not adjust the volume, or light the light.Optical comes up on the TV screen. This remote worked before the cable got knocked loose. I noticed that when the optical cable comes out (testing) that things change in setup on the TV and PS5 and I have to adjust them.We did most of the testing with the settings in a PS5 for compatibility. TV is set to optical for audio out. Using PCM. HDMI from PS5 to TV is in HDMI 4 which has an icon of a game controller on the label.I paired the Samsung remote with the TV and it controls the sound.Help!

I have a pair of Sonos Play 1 speakers as part of my larger system.  Both speakers are working fine, and I’ve set the “Status Light” setting on the app to off.  One speaker’s light is off and the other is flashing.  Why is it flashing and how do I correct this?  It flashes whether I’m playing music thru it or not. Oh, and it’s a white light. Thanks.​

I just received a pair of ERA 300’s.Eventually,  I intend to use them a surrounds with an ARC and Sub, but first I want to hear what they sound like as a stereo pair. Hopefully, Sonos is working on a solution which will allow us to switch for stereo pair to surrounds, but in the meantime, to switch from stereo pair to surrounds must I revert to initial factory settings? I’m sorry if this question has already been posed. 

 I have 2 Sonos arc setup, second one was only bought couple of days back. Other one is in my living room we used to get moderately good sound around level 20, now we have to bump it to around 45 to hear properly and to get good room filling sound have to go till 80. And the new arc is in small bedroom felt that sounded even lower.
