I have read pretty much all the remedies on the forum on how to link the lg magic remote to the playbar via the optical output, but nothing works. I have been in touch with the SONOS help line and they have been through the procedure with me, but in the end admitted defeat and said I should speak to LG. I have tried resetting the remote for Philips, Bose and several other manufacturers. I have got to the point where I think I should get a new remote - or a new sound bar- but wondered if there were any suggestions as to what remote to buy. At the moment I have to control the sound through the Sonos app.

For some reason suddenly some of my Spotify playlists I created are highlighted grey and cannot be played on Sonos ?The playlists are OK on the Spotify app and they play  fine !Any thoughts ? Thanks 

My Samsung Frame TV is suddenly no longer able to play audio through my Sonos AMP connected via HDMI ARC. Hi there, we bought an IKEA Symfonisk wall speaker and it looks and sounds great. However, neither myself (android) nor my wife (IOS) can find Spotify in S2. We rebooted everything, changed networks, reinstalled apps, but nothing. It is nowhere to be found in the list of services in S2. My wife managed to connect Spotify with the speaker once without S2. Only once however. My Spotify sees the speaker but cannot connect to it. Keeps flashing and saying connecting... Anyone with a similar challenge or experience to help? BestAnestis

I want to add a new device to my existing system, so I downloaded the S2 app to the new device and chose Add to existing system. Then the app tells me to press a button on a device, but what happens when I do that? Will the app connect to my existing system and find ALL my connected speakersor just the one on which I pressed the button? And will pressing the button on that speaker remove it from my other devices app?

I am trying to figure how to make all speakers to play music through the complete house when I hit play on my phone.    I have then all in one group but only the 2 speakers in the room that is connected to by Bluetooth plays. I have to go around and hit the play button on each speaker to make it start playing

My Sonos speakers are playing and I can’t stop them.  My iPad is complete shut down and so is my iPhone.  Where is the music coming from? God??

I have had my Sonos Arc for a few years now and it has been perfect.  Today when I turned on my Tv I wasn’t getting any audio at all.  I unplugged both the Arc connection and the power for a few minutes and tried again, still nothing.  To make sure it wasn’t the speaker I tried playing music through the Sonos app.  Works great, but still not working with the TV as the source. It’s an LGCX tv.

Hi all,I’ve just connected 2 x Era 100s to my Beam (Gen 1). (In the TV room)They work perfectly for music. When I watch a tv program, the Eras intermittently drop out. Not both at the same time though, so you get this annoying left ear, right ear thing that happens when watching a show. I experienced the same problem when I tried using my Move or Roam with the Beam. They both drop out while watching tv.I ended up putting a One in place of the Move and that solved the problem.I’ve been using a Five and a One with my Beam - and I haven’t heard a ‘drop out’ while watching TV. So I figured the power cord just made the difference. I decided that the portable speakers just don’t connect that well to the Beam for tv audio. (Never had a problem when listening to music though). So, with my new Era 100s - I didn’t think I’d have the ‘drop out’ problem as they are wired to a power source. Does anyone have advice on why the Eras would be dropping out on tv audio - but not for music?Thanks. I have a family account.  The primary family account is logged into the sonos.  Account 1.When any of the other family accounts (account 2) start to play music on their own device the sonos cuts out.Originally I thought it was because both family accounts were added to the sonos, but I've now ensured the sonos only has 1 and the other account is on a device. Surely it's possible to use sonos with a family account without everyone else with family accounts being blocked? 

I’ve seen similar posts with this issue, but cannot find a resolution to mine.  I have iTunes library stored on desktop PC, with the entire library synced to DS220+ NAS via Synology Drive. The synced folder on the NAS is what my Sonos app is synced to for my music library. All the songs appear as they should, and playback no problem. However, when I go to the Imported Playlists folder in the Sonos library to access my iTunes playlists, some of the songs show as the file name: “Artist - Title.mp3”, and won’t playback as Sonos app shows error message:  “Unable to play (Song file name/location), cannot be found”. But the song appears and plays normal when going through the Artist folder and the file name doesn’t show with the .mp3 extension like it does in the playlist error.This obviously appears to be some issue with the playlist file iTunes is generating, but I don’t know what it could be...since the playlists sync fine and some of the songs will appear/playback as normal, but som disp

When is sonos going to allow android users to perform trueplay? I shouldn't have to borrow or buy second hand ios device just to perform trueplay. Feels like discrimination just because I'm android user I'm limited to use sonos. 

Hi all. I’m trying to use my Blu Ray player as a standalone CD player. So not connected through a TV.As the blu ray has no left right RCA output I plugged in a DAC to the blu rays optical and the RCAs out to my 5’s input. I can see the Sonos app is getting a signal, but I have no sound. Do I need a pre amp as well??? Thanks

Hello,  I purchased Sonos speakers four months ago, and I've had this problem ever since. My Sonos Arc, Sub, and Era 300 surround speakers are connected to my wifi network, and I have a Samsung Q7 Series 4K UHD QLED LCD TV. My TV speakers are connected to receivers when I'm watching something, not to the Sonos speakers I made.I've made several attempts to connect to Living Speakers, but each time it disconnects immediately. In the interim, my HDMI is connected to my Apple TV.

I recently dove in with a Sonos Arc + Sub (Gen 3). Since getting setup, I’ve had nothing but problems and while it sounds incredible and the functionality is excellent, it’s been a bit discouraging.  The latest issue - and biggest source of frustration - is that the system consistently mutes itself on and off at random times. I know it’s muting because the sound drops out entirely, the green lights on the Arc + Sub come on, and then after anywhere from 10 seconds a full minute the audio comes back. I run all of my video content through an NVIDIA SHIELD TV Pro, and this is where it happens. It hasn’t seemed to do this when streaming directly via apps on the TV, but ultimately I’m not sure if it’s an issue with the Arc, the eARC in my LG B9 OLED, or simply the HDMI cable. I’ve disabled CEC on the SHIELD TV in hopes this would solve it, but it’s still happening. Is the next step to replace the HDMI cable from the SHIELD TV to the TV? Any other thoughts? Thanks for any help or suggestions

I have bought 2 sonos era 300 to sync with my sonos arc to be used as surround. I plan to put them on wall like in the photo. In the instruction it says there should be 20 cm from each side. On the right era 300, there is only 16 cm space from the wall picture. Will it effect the sound? 

I am enjoying my new setup with beam gen 2 , sub mini and 2 era 100’s as rears. It was a game changer for me after my 2.1 sony ht-mt500!  my living room isnt huge. It’s 4.37m x 3.48m. My tv is 55” but next year i am considering to get a lg 65” c4 (when the price drops significantly). I am happy with my setup but i kinda wonder if sonos arc would do a better job with a wider soundstage and more drivers? Is it worth it? It’s really hard to know unless i have both of them. Also i am quite aware a new arc2 or a better/higher version soundbar is on the horizon. I am not sure what to do. Anyone had a similar experience like me and had both or experienced both ? best

How do I connect a Marantz M-CR611 to Sonos Roam?

Evey time I try to connect to my Play:5 on another network, I get all te way through until the last process, where I get the last message (see below).  We tried this on other wi-fi networks and get the same message.  All other Sonos connect without a problem.     

For reasons not relevant here I had to resubscribe to Qobuz with new account credentials.  Sonos is still showing playlists, albums, etc from the old account and the new account at the same time. Since I don’t remember which was on which account, I frequently start to play something from the old account and Sonos goes all algo agro on me.  “No can do” it seems to say.  Except it says it in far less poetic ways.  How do I get rid of all of those defunct sources from the old account? I would think that Sonos would just sync with the credentials it has NOW, and not show stuff from an account that is no longer active, but sadly it ain’t doing that. And, of course, I can’t go onto the Qobuz website and manually remove that stuff because, well, the account doesn’t exist any more.  

Hi, my wife and I both play our Shazam tracks via our iPhones through our Sonos amps. For some reason a few weeks ago it started only listing and playing her Shazam tracks on my app. I have no idea why it has stopped accessing mine as the Shazam app has them listed correctly. It is really annoying as I can no longer just play them as a playlist, as I used to.  Any suggestions as to how to solve this would be much appreciated!

This appeared two years ago as Deleting ghosts from my Sonos Music Library but the answer doesn’t work for me.I use my iTunes music library as the source for the Sonos music library.  I regulary update the Sonos music library when the iTunes library changes.  ITunes imported an unrecognizable album and named the tracks: Track 01, Track 02, etc.  I used the iTunes Find Info to change the album name.  Everything went into Sonos including the ‘Track 01’ ‘Track 02’ song titles.  I then went into iTunes and used Find Info to manually enter the real Track names.  I used iTunes to delete the Track 01, Track 02 files and confirmed they were not in the iTunes Music folder.  Everything looks correct in iTunes AND the iTunes music folder.  I then reupdated the Sonos music library.  Now, for each song I have two selections: The track name I entered (correct) and the original Track 01 . . .  I can’t see how to remove the Track 01 . . . from the Sonos Library.  These don’t exist in the iTunes librar

Having an issue for a couple days now. The app doesn’t load completely. My system works when I choose to play through the Spotify app and my network is working.  I’ve uninstalled and reinstalled the app and signed in and out several times. Same outcome of dead screen.   

I have had two Sonos One SL speakers for ages that work fine. Today I tried to connect a new third Sonos One SL speaker. I did the updates etc but it says this error for the new speaker: "Incompatible Software Versions. The version of the app you're using isn't compatible with your Sonos system, so some settings have been disabled".Please can someone tell me a simple and quick fix for this please. Thank you
