My Sonos Roam was unplugged from power source for 3 weeks while away. Now it won't turn on even though it's plugged in and orange charging  light is on. Will not connect at all. Is the battery permanently dead

What power adapter are you using to charge the Roam? Be sure it is at least a 5V/2A (10W) USB power adapter.

Do you mean the wireless charger?

Try a Force Reboot by holding down the button on the back of Roam for 15 seconds, or until light above the Sonos logo turns on again.

No it's a plug in charger. I have tried the force reboot several times with no luck. My Sonos Roam is almost 4 years old

The Roam doesn’t typically come with a plug in charger. It is sold separately. Can you post a photo of the power adapter you are using?

You've raised a good point. My Roam was a gift so assumed the adapter came with it. I now find it did not and is a 9W adapter. I have always used it and never had problem before.
