Controllers and Music services

Been using Sonos radio “Rock Road Trip” for a couple years now. Today I got a login notification. I logged in and still got this message… “Unable to play ‘Sonos Radio’ - access is denied”.I am able to play other music I have on my phone… frustrating. 

I'll submit a report when I can duplicate the issue. It happens with SiriusXM, Pandora, and Spotify when being played through Sonos S2I've noticed this over the past ~2 weeks and it's getting worse by the day. Its happening now several times in a 30 minute time period. Can you please suggest anything that I may do to get this S2 controller to perform as it was doing prior to this issue?Thanks very much.  

I use the Sonos app to stream Spotify to my One SL and when I search for artists and select the “Top Tracks” it always includes Willie Nelson’s “Roll me up and smoke me when I die”. I don’t have this issue on Spotify app itself. I have this issue with every artist I’ve searched for. How do I delete this song from the Top Tracks playlist?

Been through the related threads - and I have tried to reset my controller, remove Spotify etc. as pointed out in another thread. However Spotify still drops out randomly… I have now tested with another Music Service. Spotify is having a problem, NOT Sonos - I can listen to radio and another music service for hours without any problems, but Spotify drops the stream randomly. One note though, after my system reset, remove / add Spotify and so on, less dropouts occurs. So some effect but still not good enough. l’ll push this into the Spotify support. 

I was told I could (using my Android phone) access a USB Music Drive on my Netgear 16Port PoE Sw by connecting an RJ45-to-USB adapter.   Did that.  Can’t figure out how to see/access it from my phone.  All the tips point to using Win10 as the interface.  I need to do it from my phone.  Thanks, Rookie WiFi’er here.   

I see quite a number of folks with this issue one and two years ago.  Mine is of recent vintage, since iOS 16.3   I can restore access by reauthorizing of course but doing this every single time I want to use the app with Sonos is not a good user experience.  Since I have no issue with Pandora directly, I have to conclude this is a sonos issue and hope there is a better fix for this than ignoring the problem.  Sonos has always been my exemplar of great customer service and smart tech support but this time around there seems to be nothing from Sonos but the sound of crickets.  

I have a NAS on my network where I have a music library of thousands of CDs I have collected over the past 20 years.  All of the other systems that use that library are able to easily identify multiple albums with the same name as being different.  When I index on Sonos - these multiple albums all combine into a single one.  Are there settings that allow me to identify the datapoints that define an album?  Example:I have multiple recordings of the same Opera - They they are all called ‘Faust’ but they are performed by different opera companies, different release dates and different cover art.  When I look at the album Faust on Sonos - I see track 1 5 times.  etc.  I would like to be able to define an album based on the Title, the Year, the Artist.  I have a similar situation with Broadway Musicals… the same album with different cast recordings.  Has anyone been able to overcome this?  I don’t want to have to include the artist as part of the album title when there is a tag for the arti

I have both Sonos 2 and Sonos 2 on my iPhone. One house has an all Sonos 1 system. A second house has an all Sonos 2 system. If I use the Sonos 2 system, when I return to the house with Sonos 1, the Sonos 1 app will not find or recognize the Sonos 1 system. If I uninstall the sonos1 app and reinstall all the speakers the Sonos 1 system works perfectly until I visit the second house and use the Sonos 2 app with the Sonos 2 system. Upon return to Sonos 1 house the Sonos 1 app will not recognize the sinks 1 system and I have to uninstall and reinstall again to get the Sonia 1 system to work.Does anyone else have this issue? Despite what Sonia advertises, is it not possible to have both Sonos 1 and 2 apps installed on the same devise?Does anyone have a fix for this problem? 

Hi all,Quick question: Sonos and spotify app are installed on an Ipad with internet. is the sound volume control (up /down) done via the internet of via de iPad ? what can cause a delay when turning the sound volume up or down?

I can paly several other radio stations from NRK / Norwegain broadcaster, but not my favorite.I tries on Sonons radio, radioplayer and NRK radio - non is working for NRK P1 / NRK P1 Stor-Oslo.  

Hello, I am based in FranceI succeeded to have my beam connected to my wifi routeur from freeboxI changed to Orange box but I have pbI made sure to have a wifi on 2,4ghz antenna from my Orange box wifiBut I can not succeed to have the beam connected in wifiIt only works when my Beam is connected to my orange box with an Ethernet cable …Could you help ?Thanks

Can I transfer a system to a homeowner for who I installed Sonos amps?  I left their house and know want to give them access. Do I need to be at their house to do a transfer?

Hello, For a long time now, I've been having issues with Apple Music playlist artwork showing up as a generic icon on the S2 app on my iPhone, and the same results are from the desktop controller on my Windows 10 laptop I have finally figured out why this is happening, but I still need to figure out how to fix it. If I add the playlists from Apple Music to a Sonos Playlist using the following option, the artwork shows up as expected (see below).  I select the option to "Add to Sonos Playlist", and the artwork shows correctly.  The playlist is indicated as a Sonos Playlist.    If I use the "Add Playlist to My Sonos" option, the album art only shows up as a generic icon, and the playlist is indicated as an Apple Music Playlist.     I noticed on the Desktop controller on my Windows laptop that there are two different sections for playlists.  One is called Sonos Favorites, and the other is called Sonos Playlists.  The "Add to Sonos Playlist" option adds the playlist to the Sonos Playlists

For my wife to use sonos does she need to access it through my account i.e. my email and password?

Despite resetting the SONOS system as advised on another forum and checking that my address is recorded as UK, BBC sounds is not listed as a service. We are still able to access BBC through the MyTuner service but are constantly reminded the service will end soon and to use BBC Sounds. I know how to go into the settings and how to add a service but not sure how to add it to the services.  TIA Theresa

I have 2 phones both connected to my Sonos Arc,Sub and rears, however my new phone doesn't connect.I'm connected to the same WiFi, I don't run any VPN, all app permissions were granted.My Samsung S21, on the same android version connects just fine, but my newer S23 just doesn't sync up.I'm out of ideas

Over the last 6 - 9 months we have seen this issue intermittently. From Sonos Controller search for artist on Spotify (has also happened starting music from Spotify app - we have a paid subscription) choose artist select either Artist radio or an album by the artist or top tracks of artistRESULTS: time bar in Sonos Controller shows the song is playing, but no sound is coming out of speakers. About 8 - 15 seconds (as per the time bar) audio comes out of the speakers at that point in the song. To be clear, there is not a delay in the start of the song, the audio starts 8 - 15 seconds into the song. Example, Bob Dylan’s Hurricane start playing audio at the words “Valentine from the upper hall”

After struggling to reconnect my play1 after changing wifi password, it finally worked yesterday. However, it does not work  via Sonos App while Spotify can find my Play1. Can you help as I want to use TuneIn? Thanks Georges   

I live in a studio apartment my Sonos speaker is in the bathroom. My router is in the living room on the other side of the bathroom. There’s a closet between the bathroom and the router I can’t seem to get the system to recognize the speaker it keeps telling me to unplug and replug in the router. It still doesnt recognize the sonos speaker. Any ideas how to fix this?

I’m using my Sonos more and more to listen to podcasts.  Would really help if the controllers had simple buttons for a 30 second jump forward, and a 10 second jump backward in whatever is playing.  Yes I know I can move the current slide to move to a new spot in what I’m playing… but this is hyper sensitive, a set time jump forward / backward button would be much easier when listening to podcasts.

I‘m not able to browse my Plex library. The Sonos app shows „unable to browse music“. Plex Server is on local network on a synology NAS and up to date.My Diagnostic number: 1000464559

I have spent thousands on Sonos product and I resent the fact that Sonos Radio is being shoved down my throat. Please let me turn it off, hide it or move it to the bottom of the list. It sucks and is in the way. It is wrong of Sonos and their developers to not allow customers to choose their own services. 

None of my devices (mac, iphone) now show me the contents of SIRIUS XM. SXM is among the services I can play, but I can't see any channels, on demand programming or anything else. This started for no apparent reason several weeks ago. The other services work as they always have. I've tried removing the SONOS app and reinstalling. I can only play SXM with voice commands, but this is limiting. I'd appreciate some advice.

My music library is stored on a NAS. When I upload a new album and ''update music library'' on my Sonos app it quite often only syncs a few of the songs from that album. They're all the same file type

Hello there community!I have an LGOLED65C8AUA, I stream Disney, Netflix, Amazon Video, HBO Max & Apple TV direct from the TV to my Arc. The only app that doesn’t seem to be working Amazon’s app (I do have their unlimited service). Is this the way it is? Am I forced to use S2 direct ONLY if I want to listen to my music from Arc/Sub/(2) Ones as back speakers?...again, it’s coming direct from an ARC HDMI TV (not eArc) direct to ARC and all the other apps are working fine although Amazon Music is the only Music Streaming App out of all of them listed.I’m trying to make anything work other than having to directly use the Sono’s Music App (S2) because from S2 you don’t know if any song you are searching for (in Amazon) is any particular quality until you actual select it. It’s a really poor experience to say the least.
