Controllers and Music services

My system can't be found in app and have difficulty to restore and find system again.  Started with my boost that wouldn't update. (Version 15.1)  Now I've spent a long time getting it up and running again, but that could indicate a too quick update.  I hope for my sake and that of sonos fans that sonos rushes an update that fixes the bug!

Is there an open thread somewhere for this suggestion? I know I can use crossfade on Spotify from within the Sonos app. I am wondering why it isn't possible to do this when casting/streaming from the standalone Spotify app (or any standalone app, for that matter) to Sonos. Is there a technical, legal, or other limitation? Or, is it possibly in the works?

Error 701 - podcasts I cannot currently play podcasts on Sonos. I am getting error 701.It is via the S1 app and speaker system… Interestingly, I note that “podcasts and shows” no longer appears in the search bar on the S2 app. (I have a mix of S1 and S2 units). is anyone else struggling with Podcasts?

Hello to all, recently, listenings to an internet radio via SONOS , the audio stops by itself.It is not due to the internet radio connection (Tune in).The system is near the modem (very good wi fi connection). It happens after more than 1 hour of no stop listening . Any clue?

I have files WAV files on my hard drive that is on my desktop computer or phone and I want to listen through my Sonos system.  Is that possible?  I also get emails with music that I can stream on my computer and would like to be able to listen through our Sonos system.  I work in the music business and am sent music that is not commercially available.

Pandora is not working now

Since about a week or so I am unable to control or transfer music via Tidal app / Tidal Connect on my Android 13 device. It does work using Spotify Connect. I have an S1 and an S2 system and the behaviour is the same on both. Already tried rebooting phone, clearing cache or uninstalling/reinstalling/authorize both S1 and S2 apps. Starting music from within the Sonos apps works. Sometimes when I am fast enough I can see a message that says : Sonos unable to play Tidal - Access denied. 

My system consists of:Amp: M Bed and BathAmp: Dining RoomPort: Ent RoomPort: OfficeMoveAll are running on S2, which was updated from S1 in January when I replaced the last of my S1-only compatible units.  I run a Synology NAS (installed years ago) with all of my content loaded in there; it has power saving activated so it may take a minute or so to start if it is asleep.  I have had no non-Sonos related problems with the NAS.  I have a MacBook Pro running macOS 11.7.1, but it is not part of the music file sourcing for my Sonos system. The problem I have is that when the “M Bed and Bath” alarm goes off, it will run for about 1.5 minutes then restart with the same song from the NAS (it is not part of a playlist).  The second time, it will play to the end - the song is about 10 minutes long.  If I play the same song directly from any Sonos produce it plays with no issue, so I don't think the file is corrupted.  I can play any music from

Go to my sonos app on my IPhone ( and yes it’s updated) and it just goes to iPhone Home Screen. Then app works on 3rd try. Then all speakers not connected. Then speakers are connected. Happens since this 15.1 update. This is getting old. Not much faith left in Sonos. Worked fine before this 15.1 / boost update.  

Since the most recent update our Spotify isn’t working -- it stops playing after about 2 seconds. Sometimes it says wifi unstable, but other sources stream fine.We’ve had this problem in the past, but it had been solid since the update.I’m using Sonos Play speakers on wifi with a Sonos Connect.Have tried rebooting, re-installing etc.Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

Any new bugs or crashes with the latest update? I don’t dare to update since the amount of troubles I got from the second latest…..

This has happened to me before and the S2 app is a bit clunky when adding or upgrading devices. I just upgraded my Home theatre setup by upgrading the sound bar to the Arc. i added it and also added the Sub so now my room is called Family Room (+sub). issue is that when i go to add the surrounds (2x One SLs) it wont let me as they are connected to the old Room now called Family Room (?).  i need to somehow delete that room and/or remove the One SLs for that room so i can add them to the Bar and Sub.  any advice would be greatly appreciated. Would be great if Sonos would work on making the S2 controller more intuitive and straightforward. Patrick

How do I get a wake up chime with Sonos voice control. I don’t want to use Alexa or Google assistant.

Hi, I have an arc that I use for both TV and music via airplay.  I tend to listen to my music much more softly than the TV.  Airplay controls volume by changing the volume of the whole arc, so when I go to watch TV, the arc volume is set very low, and I need to go to the sonos app to make it louder.  Is there a way to make it remember the volume I like to use for the TV, so that it switches to that automatically when I’m using the TV?  So I don’t have to open the sonos app and change it each time I want to watch tv after I’ve used airplay for music?  

The Pocket Casts service is enabled in my Sonos controller app. However, when searching the Sonos app for a podcast, there are no results from Pocket Casts.Is there something which needs enabling or is this a restriction within the service provided by Pocket Casts?(Pocket Casts is connected and working. I can open the Pocket Casts service under "Browse" on the Sonos app and play podcasts from there.)

This is the error i get when trying to install Sonos 70.4-35282I have modified group policies, registry modifications, increases my privileges to Admin.  I am running Surface Pro 9 w/ Windows 11 Pro and can install all types of software without any issues. But Sonos….is a deny every time.Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

Hi, I like using Plex to play music from Synology NAS server, via my Sonos app on my Sonos devices. The only problem I have is that volume between tracks is not normalised.I don’t have this issue when playing via Plex on my MacBook, or playing via iOS with sound check enabled. I use iVolume to normalise all levels which I think is embedded within tracks, but for some reason Sonos is ignoring this data.Is this a limitation of the Sonos software, or am I missing a setting somewhere?

I had to update my router the other day. All IP addresses were 10.0.0.-. Now they are 192. But the IP addresses in my Sonos app differ from the IP Addresses in my router. Is that right?

I know this topic has been posted a few times, but I have not seen a recommendation that works for me. For years, I’ve stored an iTunes music library on my QNAP NAS, and accessed it as my Music Library via Sonos through this path: //[NAS IP]/homes/music/iTunes Media/Music A couple months ago, it stopped working.  I removed and re-added my library, but still nothing.  I found a thread about SMB and confirmed that I have S2 and SMB2 on the NAS.  I tried changing the path to have no space between “iTunes” and “Media.”  No change. Interestingly, although none of my library shows up in Sonos searches in the app my NAS shows up in Browse (perhaps as a Media Server?), and even shows content.  But none of the tracks will play (throwing an error). The only other thing I can think of is the way Sonos logs into my NAS.  I enabled 2FA on my NAS about 6 months ago, requiring a Google Authenticator code.  Obviously, Sonos ca

I have tried deleting and reinstalling the Sonos App and even reauthorizing access.  It says “no selections available” and it seems like other may have had similar issues.  Nothing works.  Is there a mis-compatibility with YouTube music and Sonos?
