Is the Fee for this Roku Sonos Controller a one time fee or monthly?

Hi there,  I noticed a difference in how songs are displayed in the Sonos app when I play a playlist on Amazon music directly from the Sonos app vs telling Alexa to put a playlist on. I have a playlist with all Dolby Atmos songs on Amazon and when I play it by selecting it from the Sonos app it displays Dolby Atmos in the app. When I tell Alexa to play that same playlist though and check in the app the Dolby Atmos titling isn't there.  Is this just a visual or display glitch of some kind? I'm not sure if it's just in my head but I do think I hear a difference between the music being played directly from the Sonos app vs Alexa.  Would it be possible for this to be fixed somehow? 

I’m not sure how to word my question, but here it goes  however, I don’t want to ‘hear’ any comments that blames someone else.I would like to know the technical process that explains why compatible and connected devices cannot piggyback on each other for full control. For example, I open Sonos using my iPhone. I have the Amazon Music app on my phone; Amazon Music shows on the Browse screen in the app, and plays perfectly. I also have the Amazon Music app on my Apple Watch which can control the music on my phone.  So my question is, why can’t I control the Amazon music playing on Sonos which is connected to my phone, using my Apple Watch? I’m logged in to Amazon in Sonos and my phone and the Amazon Music app is on my watch and is connected to my phone.  If Sonos has granted access to my Amazon Music account and my phone app is open and logged in, I just want to understand why the devices can’t be linked and utilized. 

I’m using my cloud home as a service on my Sonos. All works well, but when I add an album or even rename an existing track, it doesn’t update on the Sonos listing- anyone else had this?

In order to listen to Spotify, I have to delete and reload the Sonos app, and reboot my router every time.  After six months of this, I’m almost ready to move on to a different system.  Has anyone found an effective solution? 

I have one speaker (Play 5, gen 1) compatible with S1 app only.  All other speakers are compatible with S2. I have reset by Play 5 but am unable to use S1 to add as new speaker.  Upon launching S1 app, i’m prompted to ‘Use Sonos S2 app.’   Please advise.  

Since last year I’m having issues streaming YouTube Music and YouTube (audio only) to my Sonos devices. I was able to stream YouTube to my Ones as well as to Sound bar paired with older Sonos 1s. i'm trying to figure out is sonosnet is right for me….i do not want to use the 2.4gz band. i have a new wifi 6 router and no other devices in the home that utilize that bandwith. What happens when i disable the 2.4gz bandwidth in my router, attatch one sonos speaker to the router with an ethernet cable? will the sonos system still craate its own mesh 2.4gz system independently of how the router settings are set. I'm hoping that would be the case….that way, i would have a sonosnet 2.4gz system running invisibly in the background where non of my devices would attempt to connect to it. i could utilize my 5gz with all the rest of the my devices and not have to worry about any interference.  if the sonos system is running on its own private band, how will i control the system when my primary device (cellphone) will be connect to the 5gz network and the sonos will be connected to its own mesh? appreciate any insight on the matter.. gg

We have both S1 and S2 speakers and have both apps, essentially creating 2 systems in our home. I’m fine with that. What I’m not cool with is when I try to get onto my S1 app and it gives me this pop up that you cannot exit out of and blocks my S1 app.  HOW DO I GET THIS TO GO AWAY?! SONOS is not what it was when we got our home system initially and now I can’t even use the majority of it.   (And don’t get me started on the constant random disconnect of our two Roams…!) 

Using Sonos S2 app with Apple Music service, signed into my Apple account.Navigation: Sonos app > Music icon (Browse) > Apple Music > ArtistsStarting Saturday morning, all of my Apple Music favorite artists started showing in the Artists section of the Sonos app, as opposed to only the artists whose albums I’ve added to my Apple Music Library. I now have a long list of artists with no songs/albums to play. This is making it difficult to find specific albums i added to my library, sorted by artist name.If I go to Albums instead, only the library albums are displayed (as expected), but they’re displayed in alphabetical order of album title, not by artist > album.Anyone else having this issue? Any recommendations to fix or work around it?  

Hi, I love my Sonos Five! I moved from Spotify to Tidal to enjoy a real HiFi experience with my Sonos 5, I even started using Sonos iPhone app instead of Tidal to avoid sound quality loss, but I find the Sonos app a bit clunky. A feature I use a lot is to play a Track’s Radio, because I like discovering new artists/tracks by choosing “Go to Track Radio” on the Tidal app, but in Sonos iPhone app (connected to Tidal) I don’t have that feature. Sonos: When are we going to have that feature on Sonos app? Tidal users really need this! Thanks in advance!!! 

How do you add an additional user to an existing Sonos system so they can play their own music library on the system? Sonos System 1 -  I’ve googled and the instructions aren’t correlating with tabs

I lost the pathway to my music library when I updated my Imac’s OS to High Sierra 10.13.6. I called Sonos technical support and after trying a couple of things the tech suggested that we uninstall and reinstall the app. Now, the app downloaded from the Sonos download site (57.13-34140) will not open my computer. I keep getting the message “Sonos S1 Controller cannot be opened because of a problem. Check with the developer to make sure that the S1 Controller works with this version of the macOS”. DOES THE S1 CONTROLLER WORK WITH MAC HIGH SIERRA?Now, not only have I lost access to my music library, I cannot control my Sonos system from my computer anymore.

My TV has an IR (Toshiba) but I use my remote from Bell Fibe, I’ve tried to sync both, they control the volume when I look at the Sonos app buy also trun the volume on my tv speakers. Help, maybe my TV is not compatiable? It’s not a smart TV.

Hi.  I have a pretty old Sonos S1 system with a bridge, which has the latest 11.6.1 software.  Works great with all streaming services.  I have an old iTunes Music Library on a newly formatted Mac OS Extended (Journaled) external hard drive.  I am able to see this library directory when I select to mount a Music Library from the Sonos app, and it tells me it’s pulling my songs in (“SonosMusicLibrary” is now set up on your Sonos system.  Your music is now being added to your Sonos system.  This may take several minutes to complete), but that never happens and I see no songs at all in the Sonos app (running on a MacOS laptop with Catalina, a pretty new iPad or my Android phone).This is a Music Library directory that I used to have mapped to Sonos before S2 came out, so it was working great at one time.The original library is very large, so I created another directory with just a few MP3 directories in it and that still does not work.I submitted Diagnostics 989657620.Please recommend what

I can’t find the Sonos sounds and music collections in  my app Sonos. I have received a message in the app with the new releases, but, what do I have to do to listen to them?I can see a lot of radio stations in Sonos Radio, but not their own lists. They are all gone. My device is an iPhone 11 Pro Max.  

Recently purchased iPhone 14 Pro and it doesn’t connect to Sonos. Previous iPhone worker fine.

In the last 24hrs, I have 2 zones (Play3 and One) that drop from my system.I’ve had a stable system for well over a year.I’ve rebooted Router/Boost/Zones, all to no avail.I managed to get them to reconnect briefly but then they drop and have the red dot (not connected) in app, along with the spanner.Submitted Diagnostics this morning ID:816140655 Moderator edit: Combined posts.

Hi, I have a lot of Amazon Music stations saved to my Sonos Favorites, which is my to-go place to stream music at home. Eventually, when I choose one of stations I get this error message: “Requested Operation Failed Please try again” and the station won't play. It's completely random, occurs once every week / bi-week / month and affects one or a few more stations each time.There's a workaround for that: I have to remove the station from the Favorites, search for it again and add the station to My Sonos. But it shouldn't be like that, I'm getting tired of that and I believe it should be fixed.I guess Amazon randomly changes the links to some of their stations and then my Sonos Favorites keeps this broken link. If this is the case, could someone from Sonos escalate the issue and have someone ask Amazon Music to stop doing that, please?If internally you have access to my Sonos Favorites, there's one station there currently with this issue. Turntable is connected to Sonos Port via external amp, and I managed to enjoy first album.  However, both on my phone Sonos app and the Sonos app on pc, I cannot get the source to change back to streaming music - it remains on turntable.  Any suggestions?  I can unplug the Port, but is there not a way to change the source back to stream music from turntable, and back?Thank you in advance for any solutions or advice.FYI - I have multiple Sonos (Play 3, multiple Play One’s, Sonos Move).

Hi.  When I select several rooms I always get a message telling me Sonos does not work with wifi range expanders,  but I do not have a wifi range expander.  Just one single router . And in fact I can perfectly successfully connect to all the rooms in all combinations.  I just have to dismiss this incomprehensible unnecessary warning  message each time.  What is this happening? Thanks in advance for your help! 

I use BBC sounds daily on our S1 system through the service and when listed it works very well however everyday I have to reconnect the service as it disappears from the service list. This also happens multiple times a day - if I mute and come back later the same day the same thing happens, the service disappears and I have to reconnect.  Any ideas please?

Hello, guys, What quality does Sonos App stream my Tidal service to the speakers/soundbars?

I recently set up a Sonos system, and Spotify is the only service I’ve connected. I want to be able to play songs marked as “explicit” through Sonos, but they’re grayed out. It seems like this has to either be a Spotify thing or a Sonos thing, but… I’ve never filtered explicit content in Spotify, but I checked my Spotify settings just in case, and “Allow explicit content” is indeed enabled I found “Content Filters” in the Sonos settings, but “Filter Explicit Content” is grayed out and says “Not supported” Any idea what might be going on? I haven’t found an answer on the forums yet. Thanks!
