Good morning, looking for some help here as driving me nuts now!
BBC Radio 2, in this instance, but same with all BBC Sounds stations.
Drops out after 10-15 seconds.
So far, I have hard wired a device, rebooted all devices, deleted app, re-authorised Sounds, and still have the same issue.
If I Airplay from a device to a Sonos, it works without issues.
Which leads me to the Sounds/Sonos issue?
What can we try next?

Seeing that you’ve already done the first troubleshooting steps with no result, I would suggest you to submit diagnostics within 10 minutes of the audio dropping out, note the number and then reach out to Sonos Support.
They can provide you with information and advice specific to your system and what it reports.

I have the same issue . All Spotify playlists work ( other issues there) . BBC sounds drops out and it displays message “song not encoded correctly “ ? Works ok with apple airplay ?
