Hi Experts, We are going to use Sonos Amp for a Hotel. we connect AMP with RJ45 to FS S3400-24T4FP switch and run sonon s2 controller. The issue is that when we want to sign in to profile app say that “Network Problem Detected --- Check your intnernet connection and try again” but have a internet connection. Another point is that, via Pc we can ping AMP and also find IP address of AMP in sonos app and our DHCP. second point; we have Fortigate firewall but there is no any policy on it. I have tested AMP behind Fortigate but still issue persist. Any help would be appreciated. Best,Ghasem
Have problems with play bar audio when watching tv. Have changed the optical cable, and rechecked connections. When watching tv, audio input is from tv to playbar via optical cable. the audio will start to skip at random times. If I flip the playbar around or set it down with a little force the sound becomes clear. Like a loose connection inside the play bar. Sometimes the skipping will start when changing inputs on the tv ( like Netflix back to cable) It’s not the optical cable as u can unplug and plug back in but the audio still skips I can always get it to clear up after fumbling with the playbar FYI when the audio starts skipping I can switch the tv speakers back on and the sound via the tv speakers is clear. The audio from the sound bar is still skippyany ideas? Can it be repaired?
I am using Sonos 1 app with my older Ones. I can’t seem to update the speaker. App is updated. I can’t seem to get past the update app request. I have rebooted speaker, removed and added app, rebooted router. Any help is appreciated! thx 🙏🏼
i have 3 amps set up on my system and lately the music shuts off and comes back every once in a while and sometimes it keeps playing in one area but not others and vice versa, wondering what the issue could be, seems to only be when I am using Spotify, everything is up to date and my internet is good thru out the house
My system consists of the following:Sonos Boost connected via ethernet to my main router Sonos Arc w/ Sub (Both showing as WM0 in Sonos app) Sonos Port (WM0) Connect: AMP Gen2 (WM0) Playbar (WM0) Sonos Move (WM1) Sonos5 (WM0)All of this is connected to my Netgear Orbi 850 mesh system, with the boost connected via ethernet to the main router, and I have two satellite routers. All this seems normal to me, but when you go into my Netgear app, the Sonos5 shows as being on Wifi via 5ghz, while the rest of the system shows as being wired.I have factory reset the Sonos5, but it still shows up as being on the wifi. Why the conflicting info here? Why does the Sonos App show my Sonos5 being connected via SonosNet, but my router shows it being connected via the Wifi?
XM seems to be down again with you guys - works via streaming and my account is fine, but it won’t work via Sonos.
I get an an error 1002 (An error occurred while adding tracks to the queue).I read on another thread that it might have to do with some limitation from Apple, which would only work with playlsit of 1000 tracks and less… but I can’t (or don’t want to) believe that explanation. 1000 tracks is not that much!!Anybody here found a solution for this problem? Thanks a lot.
Like the title says, over a year later I am still having a problem with my Sonos amp stopping the audio during commercials when listening to TuneIn. The amp will show that audio has stopped and I have to restart the stream. This will happen every couple of hours through the day. It only happens when the audio trys to return from the commercials. If there is a Sonos support person, the diagnostic report is 475660968All of my Sonos hardware is hardwired and plugged into a switch Sonos Radio stations will play all day perfectly. There is no problem with any of my network cables All wireless is turned off as I will only ever use this product hardwired. Phone control is through strong wifi in my house, but that is really irrelevant since once the amp starts playing the audio the phone has no relation anymore I have two Sonos ports as well that will NEVER drop the audio stream. When they are grouped and the audio drops on the amp, they will automatically ungroup in the background.
I am becoming extremely frustrated with my Sonos. I use it in my office at work, I have moved to a different room, some 10 feet away and it stopped working completely!! It is on the same router and every time it says it cannot find the system, blah blah blah!!! I have done a factory reset, deleted the app, you name it I have tried it. I am losing my patience and have a very expensive paperweight!!!!!!!
Like it says -- My Port is playing only the left channel of the music it’s streaming, but through both outputs. I’ve done the obvious cable switching, power cycling, and such, but to no effect. I still only get the one channel.Other notes: If I put the Port into “dual mono” mode, I get both channels, but appropriately merged into a single mono signal. I also have a pair of Play:1s, and I get proper stereo playback through them. The Port is connecting to the network via Ethernet (I’ve tried a wifi connection, just to be sure, but the problem remains). Weird. Any thoughts out there? Thanks!
Anyone ever get a resolution to this? Nugs.net - "Unable to play...song is not encoded correctly" Some Artists albums/playlist play just fine, others do no. For example I can play recent Pearl Jam shows with no issue but if I try to play the newly added Grateful Dead 30 Trips Around The Sun: The Definitive Live Story you get 15 to 20 seconds of a song and it jumps to another one. Help!!:-)
I have my music at Spotify and listens througe SONOS App. The problem i have is that if I skip to next track, the SONOS speakers does not play thesame song. It takes about 3-4 seconds before all speakersplay the sam track or play at all. In my system I have 1 Roam4 One SL1 ONE S1 Play 5 gen31 sub gen 3I have one speaker with fiber cable direkt into speaker, så all speakers have the channel.Do I need to download all music to SONOS APP or….
This is not the first time this has happened. I go to turn on my music, and POOF only one speaker (of 6) is found. So I go to add the others and now I have to sign in. IRRITATING! So I do this. Then I am prompted to upgrade. I do this which takes 5 minutes. Then I go to add my existing speakers AGAIN. and it can only fine ONE of them no matter where I stand. I am furious!
Just got a BOOST and the setup fails every time stating that it failed to link to my account. I have tried hardwiring an existing Play1 to my router before setup, rebooted my router, reset the BOOST, and I still get the same error. Any other suggestions?
I think found a fix for the issue with the KQED Sonos audio stream that was causing frequent dropped audio. The issue itself is clearly related to the feed from KQED to Sonos. I don’t have an issue with other Sonos stations, or with streaming KQED outside of Sonos. To solve the issue I created my own radio station manually, directed to the primary stream at https://streams.kqed.org/. I did this using the PC desktop app, but I think it can be done on the mobile app as well. When searching for a solution I found other people having the same problem. Maybe this post will be helpful to someone.
I was gifted a hand me down Sonos Connect and I am attempting to setup the device with my account. After factory resetting the Sonos Connect, I am unable to add the device to my account.I press the play/pause button as I connect the power cord and wait 15 seconds until the lights begin flashing white and orange, but the lights never begin flashing green in order to show the reboot is complete. In addition, if I attempt to add the Sonos Connect to my account while the lights are flashing orange/white I can never get past pressing the play/pause button to connect the device.Really appreciate any help on this.
I am getting 701. Tried restarting sequence. Router then speaker. I have QNAP Nas.This happens both on pc Sonos app and Android app. I get 701.Diagnostic Id : 586121976I can play same on vlc with upnp on both pc and phone.
Good morning, I have the following issue. When my iPhone is out of range of the Wi-Fi zone to which sonos is is also connected, the system stops playing music. In other words, both the iPhone and the speakers have to be connected to the same Wi-Fi. Otherwise it doesn’t work. Before I could start a playlist and then I could even turn off the iPhone and the music would continue playing. Thanks
What is going on?? My Sonos system has suddenly stopped being able to see any of my speakers on the network. I have run through the app tools to get back up and running. I have deleted the app, started again, turned off all speakers, re-booted, turned off and re-booted my Wifi (which works perfectly with everything else). Also, when I run the tools to find the system again, the app doesn’t seem to see the actual network that I use! (Trust me there is nothing wrong with my wifi hub). What is going on? I have a beam gen 2, a play 5, two Sonos ones, a move and 2 roams in the house!!! Actually, what makes it worse is that it can pick up one speaker, and that is one of the roams only! From a system that I thought was seamless I am absolutely so frustrated by this! Any help please?
I called on 7/4/22 to start my replacement for a blown outdoor speaker that hasn’t even been used a month. It took me a week to get an RMA after endless calls and over 10 days now still waiting on a label to return it. Only answers I get is that Product support will get back to me and in a round about way the email response says don’t email us we will email you. I just need a label to return my speaker, I do not understand what can take so long and now I am the one with equipment that doesnt work.
I had a Sonos One in a room called “Conservatory” and a Play 1 in my home office I called “Study”. I decided to make a stern pair in the office so bought a Sonos One SL. I moved the One from Conservatory upstairs and renamed “Office” and added the new One SL as a stereo pair. The Play 1 “Study” went downstairs and became “Conservatory”. The problem I am having is the “Office” stereo pair continually reverts back to the name of “Conservatory” (NB The One is the left hand speaker in the pair if that’s relevant). When this happens I end up with two rooms called “Conservatory”. Last week I changed the name back and I had also been getting some playback issues os did a complete router and Sonos switch off and restart. The names were good after that. Have just come back from a work trip to Hungary and the “Office” name had changed back to “Conservatory”. Driving me nuts! Any ideas please? Is it worth factory resetting the Original One and re-installing?
I have two connect amps, one play three, a play one, and a play bar. My issue is everything plays fine but it’s random bit every now and then the audio cuts out for 3-5 seconds. My two connect amps are hardwired while everything else is wireless. I also have a bridge, I could install if you think that wld help the issue and I have sent in a diagnostic which my case id is 141763792. Any help would be greatly appreciated. I’m bit 100% certain but when I just had my connect amps I didn’t notice it happening until after adding all the other speakers. Thanks again.
Just wondering if there’s anybody on here with great experience setting up the Fritz user interface so you don’t get any Sonos issues but also allow all other devices to run smoothly. Tending to have slow internet speeds with the settings that Sonos help has given me.
I have a customer who runs a gym and has a Connect connected to his soundsystem. He is having regular issues with the mornings alarm not playing the radio channel via Sonos Radio but goes straight to Chime. We’ve tried to change radio stations but the issue is still there. It does not happen every morning but more sporadically, so its hard to track. Went there today to do some more testing and we are having problems with radio channels. I tried different services like Sonos Radio, Tunein etc. but none streamed the radio. Added my spotifyaccount to check and that works like a charm. After an hour of tinckering the radio started playing again… =/ PC has been restarted, Connect has been restarted, Network is ok (Lots of other stuff connected which has no issues at all) Diagnostic:1937825018 - Can anyone see if anything is logged here? Thanks, Jan
