I keep my Sonos system on S1 because I have a first generation Play:5 that is hooked up to my record player. A houseguest recently tried to upgrade my system (thinking they were being helpful) and of course crashed the whole thing. I’ve tried the usual steps to factory reset and downgrade my products (I’ve done this before successfully when I first set up the record player) but now when the setup wizard gets to the stage of the final “push button/hear chime” after plugging in to ethernet, the process fails. I am given a “this device is only compatible with S2 system” message, which is entirely untrue as these are all S1 compatible devices.  I’ve factory reset over and over, reset the apps on all devices, and reset the router. All to no avail. Please help! 

Hi everyone. I have a Sonos Arc which I have recently paired with a Sonos sub gen3. There is a very annoying sound comming from the sub when the system is on but nothing playing. I have tried all the channels of my router but the noise is still there. I have tried to change the channel of the sub but the option seems to be innactive on the Sonos app. Any iddea of how to get rid of the noise apart from unplugging?

Here’s the setup: 22 sonos including stereo pairs, couple subs, 1’s, 3’s, 5’s etc. Roughly 3,000 square foot house with Orbi 850 mesh wifi. Sonos running off a gen 2 Boost on sonosnet.  Boost is on 2nd floor, center of the house in a loft over top of all the sonos speakers. Other smart home stuff: About 35 Hue lights on hue hub, 50 Lutron switches on Lutron Caseta hub. Recently changed from sonos channel 11 (where all sonos speakers were OFDNI of 9), to sonos channel 1. (Has the best OFDNI numbers)I’m still having trouble with dropouts, especially if I try to change tracks with rooms grouped together. When changing tracks, it goes through about 3 minutes of speakers cutting on and off and then skips to subsequent tracks before It finally settles in.I usually group Kitchen/Fam, Big subwoofer (a connect with 2 large subwoofers attached), Dining room move, Family room (2 play 3’s and a sonos sub) Kitchen, and Living room together. Hello,We just bought a Sonos Beam and 1x Sonos One.I configured them as a group, and it works good while watching TV.But when i try to mute the sound using the TV remote it only mutes the volume of the Beam and not the volume of the One. Same when adjusting the volume.Is there any way to adjust the group volume with the TV remote?If not, will it be possible when we buy another Sonos One speaker and make it a surround stereo pair?I really hope its possible because else it really sucks to open the Sonos app everytime...

I’ve had my Sonos Roam for a few months but haven’t played it much because when I try to use it via Bluetooth, my volume constantly changes from whatever volume I set it to 0 after a random amount of seconds. It could be 2 or 20, but always resets back to 0.Any ideas?

So I swapped out my WiFi router with the new system using the exact same name/password as the old one, which is what I am always recommending. To my personal embarrassment I could get no speaker to work after this.This is my small S2 system (One, 1, Bookshelf), but using the app to “fix up” the WiFi always failed immediately at the “attach your phone to the SONOS wifi network”.On my PC I had to re-mark the new network as Private of course, but that didn’t help me.I broke out the networking tools, and I could see from the DHCP table that none of the speakers were actually on the network at all.I tried wiring one of them via Ethernet, and while that got the one speaker working, the app would not allow the WiFi creds to be changed this way (this used to work on S1 last I tried it).Then I had a lightbulb moment: I powered cycled a speaker. it came up on the router DHCP list, and the Sonos apps could find it. I powered cycled the others, and it was all good.TL;DR if swapping your WiFi route

I have several Sonos' amps and connects, I listen to my Amazon Prime account quite a bit. For the last month or so, it will work just fine, then after a playlist is over (from "My Music") and I try to go to a new playlist I will get the error "Your Amazon account is missing required information..."There is nothing wrong with my Amazon account, all Sonos units are updated.  I can listen to my Amazon Music account on my desktop (not Sonos) with no issues.I can even play my Amazon Music over my kitchen Sonos through Alexa. I have removed and reinstalled my Amazon account multiple times.What is going on?  This is very frustrating, especially for how much I have invested in this system.

We continually need to keep adding our products and then they drop again - and sometimes I cannot even add them. The process tells me to restart my router but I am not going to restart my router and mesh network every time I want to use Sonos. These speakers used to all work - now I cannot ever get them all to connect. Every time we want to use the speakers - either it says I don’t even have any speakers or another has dropped. I have tried adding each one about 4 times doing hard restarts and the same thing. What the hell did they do to their firmware??

This week I upgraded my system to S2 and added some Five speakers. They work without problem, but the network matrix for the five is incomplete. The noise floor is absent for all three Fives. The other componens (2xPlay1 and 1xPlaybase) are correct. See attachment for a better explanation.Somebody any idea what caused this, or even better, how can I fix this?  

I have 2 HomePod minis, 2 Sonos Ones, a roam and several Airplay2 TVs. When I start playing on multiple speakers through iOS control center only the Roam will skip. It shouldn’t be WiFi interference because if I use the Sonos app to add the Roam it won’t skip.  

Understand this issue has been noted a lot on here but did not run into my specific issue. I had eero mesh system (3 pack) plus my Sonos set up (3 Play:1, 1 Play:5, 1 Beam with 2 One’s as surround, 1 Move, and 1 Roam) which worked fine. Recently we added the Ring alarm system with the built in eero, essentially replacing the main gateway with the Ring gateway. Since then, we continue to have issues with sound dropping. None of my Sonos are plugged in to use the Sonos Net; tried this before but b/c of our old house, the Sonos Net ends up being worse.  Any thoughts on why this is being caused? Every other system works great but our Hue lights sometimes act up. Both Sonos and Hue worked great before we added the Ring system on the eero.  Thanks! 

I have a Playbase with 2 Sonos Ones all set up and working excellently. I use the SkyQ remote to control the volume of the Playbase but since pairing the remote with the Playbase the voice control stops working with the SkyQ box.I have reset the remote so it is not paired with the Playbase and the remote voice control starts working again with the Q box. For some reason when you pair the Q remote with the Playbase it disables the remote Voice control function. Any ideas on how to fix this appreciated.

I have a 2022 Samsung frame TV connected to a Sonos AMP via e-ARC. I have worked with Samsung support to resolve an issue where I’m unable to manually select the audio output from the TV. Every time I try and select anything but Sonos AMP, the TV will flip back to Sonos AMP after a few seconds. I’ve tried disabling Sonos e-ARC auto play and have been through all the settings on the TV with Samsung. I have a case open with them but haven’t heard back yet. I haven’t spoken to Sonos yet but intend to on Monday.   

Hi! I’m working on a third-party integration with Sonos. It’s unclear what’s the X-Sonos-Corr-Id HTTP header. I tried googling for it, but found just a couple of mentions at stackoverflow. Could you please clarify:What module or system sends this header? When can I expect this header? What’s the purpose of it? Do we required to handle it in some way?Thanks in advance!

Hi there, I’ve brought a Sonos 1 from home to the office. Setup went well until connecting to the WiFi. Password is correct and I’ve tried unplugging the router but it will not connect. Does anyone have any thoughts?

Hi ThereI have an issue with my Sonos speakers disappearing while playing music. I have a Beam, One and Play:1 in my lounge/dining room.  The Beam is wired to my router, while the other two work over wifi. When I play music on either the Beam or the One individually (or any one or more of those speakers combined with the Play:1) after a few songs the music suddenly stops and the speakers disappear from both the Sonos App and Spotify, and I usually have to reset them or unplug and leave them for a bit to get them back. It doesn’t matter whether I play music via Alexa (enabled on the Beam but not the One) or via my phone - the music plays for a bit and then just stops. I’ve been having this problem with the Beam for about two years, and eventually gave up playing music on it and instead just used the Play:1. However, I bought a One last week, which is having the same problem and, given the money I’ve invested, I’d really like to use them! Interestingly, I never have this problem with the

Does everyone have the same experience as I do?We have a perfectly decent Wi-Fi service – about 32 Mb/s, but as soon as I stream anything, either via the airplay or the Sonos app or not, then the Internet crumbles to a halt. I sometimes have to switch it off just to move from one page to the next.Surely this can’t be how it’s meant to be?!? 

LG oled optical out to playbar to surrounds and sub.  Eeros router.  When starting or switching stations sound is distorted for a few seconds to a minute.  Stops immediately if I turn of surrrounds. Please help. Thanks 

Hi I have a Sonos Beam and 2 play ones as surrounds. I also have a connect amp and would like to use it with a third party powered sub. Would this work as a 5.1 setup and would the sub volume work with the beam as its a powered sub and it has its own volume. I have a red and white rca line input, would I need a 1-Male from the connect app a to 2-Male RCA Audio Cable. Thank you.

Recently my connect amp would power up for a second then the light would go dark. Opened up a ticket and they came up with a “power failure”. The call center said I will need to replace my “old” unit for a new AMP.  The cost will be $459!  I paid $500+ for the Connect AMP in 2016 and didn't power it up until April 2017 when we moved into the house.  Where is the reliability?  There is no servicing of the Connect AMP???There are no authorized service center’s for these units.  This seems super shady! This is the kind of shady tactics State’s Attourney Generals like to know about.  I have no less than 8 Sonos units in our home. Heck, the Play 3 we purchased back on 2011 and it still going!  

recently my playlist started skipping over any song from amazon music, but would play all others on the playlist.  when i select a single song/album to play from amazon music it plays fine.  large playlist, so it would be a pain to replace all amazon songs on it with other services….   any help would be greatly appreciated, thxthe error im getting is “sonos unable to connect to amazon music”

Bonjour, je viens de faire l’acquisition d’une sonos one d’occasion que j’ai intégré à mon réseau (arc + sub, ainsi que 4 sonos one à différents endroits de ma maison). Mon système a toujours bien fonctionné historiquement. Cette nouvelle enceinte rentre sur mon réseau mais dès que je joue une chanson dessus ainsi que sur une autre enceinte de mon réseau, ça plante et là one d’occasion devient invisible. Il faut que je débranche et rebranche pour la réintégrer à mon réseau. Dès que je recommence à jouer de la musique plus que sur cette enceinte uniquement ça saute. J’ai fait la réinitialisation d’usine 3 fois (avec le bouton connexion pressé lors du branchement)  mais rien n’y fait. Je précise que le je reste du système fonctionne parfaitement. J’ai juste un bug avec cette enceinte qui même si elle est d’occasion est parfaite d’aspect…j’ai relancé plusieurs fois ma box également. Je me demande si ce n’est pas un vieux réglage de son ancien propriétaire qui persiste, une incompatibilité

My sonos system is dropping out while playing both Spotify and Tidal.  It sometimes comes back to the same track, other times skips to the next track and other times jutters then completly dies.  I have tried resetting routers, hard wiring one in to my ethernet but nothing seems to resolve.  My diagnostic number is 888534667

I have an Amp connected to speakers on a deck and today there was no sound coming from the speakers.  On the app everything looks like the Amp is connected as it’s indicating music is playing.  i checked the volume and to make sure it was not muted and it wasn’t.  I tested the speakers by connecting them  to another Sonos amp and the music was no playing.   I then tried to connect the Amp with the issue to another set of speakers and still no sound but looks like music was playing on the app.  Wire’s are connected via the provided screw clamps I removed those clamps wiped out the area and then connected the speaker wires to banana plugs and still no sound.      Has anyone else had a similar issue?  Amp was purchased in 2019.   

My Sonos system (Sonos 1 and Sonos 2 (with pretty much useless Alexa built in)) is constantly going offline. It is really annoying. My internet is very fast and the computer that I am using is an i7. Any suggestions on how I can at least reduce the frequency of this happening? Thanks.
