Hi, I have a problem switching my Sonos setup to wired connection (due to dropouts in wireless mode). I am trying to connect Sonos speakers to the same DHCP service when wired as when they are wireless (wired and wireless connection share the same VLAN, as my phone on which Im trying to set this up does - since it works in wireless, the problem shouldn’t be there). Ethernet cable is in tact (i even see there is some traffic on the port when I look into the switch web interface), however when I try to disable wifi in Sonos app/when I turn off the SSID to which they connect, do not get a connection (can’t even ping the device). When i look at IP:1400/status/ifconfig after it gets back online to wireless, it shows under eth0 that majority of RX packets were dropped… This is weird, since it goes through exactly the same switches, as my AP and it enters the router through the same trunk - I don’t see any way how when it goes through AP it would get accepted, but when it goes through cable i
Hi,Anyone having problems listening to SiriusXM Holiday Channels? I am able to listen to some of them just fine. Others, like the newly added channels this year are not working. I get the message “Unable to play the selected item”. The problem seems to be with the streaming channels in the 700s. 776, 778, 781, and 784 seem to play fine on my Sonos system. Streaming channels 780, 783, and 785 do not play at all. I went to the SiriusXM “Listen Now” site and can play all of these channels. Any ideas on how to fix this would be appreciated. I am looking for a solution, not opinions.Thank you.
Hi,I’ve just bought a new Sonos Beam and it’s having trouble playing music from my Spotify account. I’m getting error messages including “The connection to Spotify was lost” from the Sonos app, while the Spotify app struggles to connect to my Sonos speaker when I try to change the playback device to the speaker. Sometimes it works and then quickly disconnects, other times it struggles to connect in the first place. I’m using the Beam over WiFi because an Ethernet connection isn’t practical. I have it connected to a Netgear Orbi mesh WiFi router which itself is hardwired to a DrayTek Vigor130 modem. Alternative music services like TuneIn seem to work flawlessly. Any idea what the problem is here?
Hello,I have two Play:1 that don’t want to play anymore since this morning. Until then they worked fine. One is in the kitchen, the other one in a bedroom.I made a Diagnostic #567346148.Thanks,Francis
I have 11 Sonos devices. 9 are connect amps all connected via Ethernet and a switch to the router. 2 are Sonos 1s connected wirelessly. All of the Amps play nicely no matter the grouping, and can be added/removed/controlled perfectly. When I add the 1s to any group of Amps—-many problems. It struggles to get added to the group, requiring several tries. Once connected, problems adding songs to the queue, problems starting a station, and if it does start the 1s cut in and out. I also have a playbar Ethernet cornnrcted and the Sub wireless. suggestions?
We bought our system when Sonos first came out so everything is first generation. We purchased the Bridge, Soundbar, and the Sub.The bridge stopped working long ago but the system still played and we could play music through it. We just recently changed our modem and internet plan and we cannot get it to work at all now. Everything says to plug our speakers into the modem by Ethernet but there is not a Jack in either one to support this.I would like to be able to still use this system. Please help.
lost my speaker connection between Yamaha receiver and older Sonos Connect
Having an ongoing issue that is not allowing me to use any services on app. The app indicates that speakers need to be Linked to Account - See Error messages attached. Need help addressing. Do not want to do factory reset unless advised. After clicking to see 4 issues I am prompted to “Link Products” including (2) play1 sound bar & sub. After attempt, receive another error message indicating “Set Up Problems”.Connection & time settings are fine. Audio playback is perfect. I have no access to app functions. This sometimes includes options such as TruPlay. This issue occurred after moving into new home.
I have changed my wifi router. With that I have also installed a deco wifi mesh system. Initially I set my existing Play 1 device back up connected to the new router and worked fine. I was having some interference issues though on other devices so was advised to turn off the wifi coming directly from my router and to rely solely on the deco mesh system for wifi. When I did this however I found it impossible to link the Play 1 back up with the 2.4 ghz wifi from the deco system. Can you tell me if it is possible to connect the play 1 to deco wifi or will it only work with the wifi directly from my router?
I have an issue I have Sonos playbar with 2 ones and an amp, when I open the s1 app it says it cannot connect, then if I unplug my sky Q box it all works fine instantly, plug my sky box back in and s1 app doesn’t work again, called out sky they looked at my network and said it’s my Sonos system but I got a feeling he’s talking rubbish but can anyone help
I have an Asus 4G-AC53U router but after factory reset I cannot create a SONOS net by wiring my Play 1, whiched has worked earlier. I cannot either add a new SONOS boost. Both units start up and is showing on router interface client list with IP adress. The speaker even continue to play music. The Play 1 works fine close to router over WiFi but the Boost cannot be added at all.
Hey,Had a playbase connected to some play Ones as part of a surround sound but the playbase lost connection. De-coupled them all and factory reset. The Ones came back no problem but the playbase refused to connect at all.I’ve hard wired it to the router, I get a green flashing light when I plug the base in… the app then recognises that it’s there starts to go through set up but stops saying connection has been lost… any ideas?went ahead and sent some diagnostics up front… the number is 1807319793. tried using iPhone and iPad to run set up...

I have had my move for over six months and today for the first time attempted to use it while out of its cradle. I was shocked to find it at zero percent. Hours later, and with the app showing it is charging but still at 0%, I also noted the flashing red lights. I have sent in diagnostics and read all the other topics related to this. It is a weekend evening so I won’t be able to call until daytime tomorrow. What to do? Diagnostic confirmation number is 1770445785
I have a total of 4 sonos connect in my home for different rooms which can be synced. Recently only one of the rooms cuts out after roughly 15 minutes of play regardless of if its tv sound or music being played. i have reset the system to factory settings, upgraded the wife etc and the same issues still remains
I know there are a lot of questions regarding the system losing connection, but I believe I have a different situation than those I’ve seen described. My system often can’t be found on my Android phone. Sometimes I can play an album, and while it continues to play (off of my NAS) I am unable to get back in to change albums - the system is not found. However, my wife, who uses an iphone, remains connected without issue. We can be in the same room and I get a message that the Sonos system can’t be found and from her phone everything works perfectly.
New issue surfaced with Iphone 7, when trying to connect to Sonos (which has been fine for years) the app says it cannot find the device on our wifi. The Sonos system is fine on the same wifi system on multiple others phones, tablets, computers etc. I have reinstalled the app, rebooted the phone, rebooted the Sonos system to no avail.
I am running SonosNet and has a Boost hardwired to my router. To my understanding, the Boost creates a mesh network (together with all the speakers - I have speakers in 4 rooms). In the most remote room, the connection is poor with some dropouts. Would yet another Boost half way between the remote room and the existing Boost help? The new Boost cannot be hardwired.
I have two Fives, paired in stereo. The bass output is less than my Sonos One. Or my Move. I have tried it with the following configuration:paired as stereo not paired as stereo after utilizing TruePlay after turning off TruePlay With Spotify With a line-in turntable With TuneIn Radio And yes, I also manually adjusted the EQ bass setting to +10. I am seriously underwhelmed. My One and Move (and Play: 1) all have a richer sound, bass, etc. For reference, I’m not listening to ‘bass heavy’ tracks, mostly just jazz, but when i do put on Outkast for example, no bump. When I have these Fives grouped to my Move, the move is putting out considerably more bass on the same track at the same time. What gives?
I’ve just upgraded router to handle 1gb service and now sonos app won’t keep connected to system. I originally tried to update WiFi name/password but when that seemed to fail I tried multiple times to just reset everything and reinstall system from scratch. It works fine for a bit but once we turn off music then go back to it later the system is gone again. Meanwhile Alexa app still sees everything fine and can control speakers. this is diagnostics if it helps: 1789496550 Thanks in advance for any suggestions.
Been trying things all day and this is driving me mad.I have the Sonos arc hooked up to the LG via the HDMI Arc. I also have a 1TB Sky Q box.The issue is around the Sky Q sound. In the audio visual settings, the sound for Digital audio optical HDMI sounds better on original vs Dolby Digital. Much fuller and I can’t quite work out why! Thought it would be the other way around and I’ve tried on a bunch of HD channels.LG Tv settings are as follows;DTV Audio Setting - AutoHDMI 4 - BitstreamDigital Sound Out - Pass ThrougheARC - ONAm I missing something or got something wrong? Any ideas?
Hi I have had a P5 / 2 for a while now and have been able to stream the TV audio via my AppleTV, after what I suspect is an update of the AppleTv to version 14.2 I can no longer select it as outgoing audio in the AppleTv.Can anyone answer if Play: 5 gen2 is compatible with Apple's version?
I have a wired Sonos S1 system. Four of the speakers are controlled through home theatre components. My Sonos network audio receiver stopped working and the green and amber lights in the back of the box are constantly flashing. I unplug and it from the wall and back of the box and press the mute button and plug it back it, but still no change. Obviously no sound through those four speakers. Can I get it fixed? If I upgrade to S2, do I have to upgrade all of my amps to S2? OK, after reading some other related posts, here’s what I can offer….I changed my router a few months back...I see that I might be able to connect the audio receiver directly to the router using an ethernet cable….but there are no empty slots…..sorry, I’m a novice at this....
Often when I attempt an Alexa command in this particular room, I get a response from another speaker much farther away. Upon checking the closer speaker, I find the mic light is not lit. I can turn it back on with my finger and all is well...until the next time I find it off again. Yes...Alexa is enabled.
11/25/20 - Sirius XM is no longer available on my Sonos. This happens every month it disappears and then reappears. Why? This is so annoying. It says unable to browse music.
