For some reason, there is an error authorising my Spotify premium account through the Sonos IPad app. No error code, just a bland message stating error.

Have you tried a different controller to see if your Spotify will be able to add in the Sonos application?
How about the username and password?
I suggest trying to remove and re-add Spotify in the Sonos application.
Is it just in the Sonos application you having an issue with reauthorizing your Spotify?

All sorted now thanks i had to authorise Spotify to allow other devices before authorising the connection through Sonos.
