Advanced setups

Waiting on a response from Level II support. I am trying to setup my Sonos Port, and it fails when asking to press the pairing button. I have tried:Wi-Fi and Ethernet.Multiple Setup devices.Disabling 5ghzEnabling DHCP snoopingEnabling IGMP snoopingEnabling MulticastEnabling STPSetting DNS server to defaultWPS2 and WPS2/3 I can see the device is connected with a valid IP and access the web portal. What am I missing?

I had my system set up to stream audio through Roku including an an amp for ceiling speakers, arc, and sub. It all worked great and could also stream music through the Sonos app on my phone through these speakers. I had to change my Roku device and the surround sound stopped working. After having it fixed now my Sonos app can’t find the arc and amplifier. Am I missing something? 

I have been advised to change the Sonos net channel via the S2 app to 6 but it is greyed out and therefore not possible. Due to this I connected the sub to the router with an ethernet cable but it made no difference. The channel is currently set to 1 but it was showing as 11 yesterday which suggests it has changed ( it has not been misread). Any suggestions as to how to remedy this would be appreciated. 

Has anyone got Sonos working with Optus broadband? I have just switched and they appear to be incompatible.

Hi. After moving out from my dads place I took my play:1 with me… Now I cant connect them to my own Wi-Fi… What I have triedMakes my own Sonos account I have reset the speakers (bc of “new” owner  bc the sonos was connect to my dads account) They are plug into the lightning plugs They do pop up in my sonos (s2) app The light on top off them are green When the try connect to my account or Wi-Fi it’s says there is a problem to try again (I don’t really know how to try again?) I have disconnected and connected my Wi-Fi 2 times nowWhat can I do to make them work???  I feel like I have tried to follow every step I could find online.  EXTRA info I cant open system in The app either 

Hi,I’ve got a job where the customer has installed an ARC behind an acoustic screen..Video is provided by a projector so there is no  E ARC support. He is currently using air play to get the sound from Apple TV though the Arc but wants to now add Sky stream to the system.. I can’t find any way to get the sound from Sky stream to play via the ARC.. Any ideas.. ?? Cheers

Does iphone version matter for trueplay setup?

HiAfter I finish playing one of my playlists in the sonos app, whether I pause it or clear the play list it continues to play, I can't hear it but the time line on the track is active and it doesn't matter how many times I clear the playlist it just regenerates and starts againRegardsAndy

We are working on a case where the following in a requirement.1. Soundbar for Living  & 3 Bedrooms 2. Portable speakers in Dining and Den area   The Customer Requirement  1. Streaming content ( audio) from Spotify to each zone ( rooms ) separately2. All zones combined 3. All controls (volume, source selection from control 4 touch screen ) streaming platform remain Spotify. Please help me on this with the best solution.   

Hi, I have recently renewed my Plusnet account and was sent a new Hub 2 Router which I believe is the same as the BT router.I have tried most of the day to reconfigure my Sonos Beam to the router via Wi-Fi but get as the last stage of the setup after I enter my Wi-Fi password and then get an error that Sonos can connect to the router. I have  changed the settings ad per the support page but no joy. (Eg disabled 5Mhz mode, ensured spa, and the correct channels are enabled.I have then tried the old router and reconfigured the Sid and password to match the new router but get the same issue.  I have tried configuring from iPad and iPhone. Any suggestions on how I can fix this?

So, Airplay 2 can definitely handle 16bit 44.1, and S2 speakers can do up to 24bit 48, but during Airplay2 playback Roon’s Signal path thing (see screenshot) always shows the playback as being “High Quality” and not “Lossless” because Roon can’t guarantee what the Airplay2 device is doing on it’s end. Some AP2 devices will always need to convert to 48khz before playing etc. , so that’s understandable.This is not the case with Sonos Streaming, it shows as lossless in Roon signal path, but roon and sonos streaming have not played well together for some time, whereas Airplay 2 has been rock solid.So my question is, does anyone know for fact if The Sonos speaker is ever taking a 16/44.1 Airplay 2 signal and manipulating it (bringing it up to 48Khz etc.)If the answer is that it’s playing 44.1 16 bit with no manipulation, then Airplay 2 is the clear winner over Sonos streaming when it comes to playing off Roon. Otherwise, struggling with Roon to Sonos Streaming direct might be worth it to ke

Recently updated wifi and need to change on system but not sure how... help! 

So I wanted to play my decks but coming through the Sonos throughout my house and as I’m sure everyone’s aware it’s been said it’s impossible, however I’ve found a way!!!  so connecting the decks to the Sonos Ray which has a optical input so you’ll need a rca cable splitter to optical  ( this connects the decks to the Sonos ray )  now with this set up there is a delay from the decks headphones and the Sonos playing .so to sort this you’ll need to purchase a lip sync corrector And a aux to rca cable x 2 of these When that’s connected I found my deck headphones where super quite so I bought an amp to make them louder . so from the decks to the Sonos ray is rca to optical leadand to sort the delay is a aux to rca cable plugging into a lip sync corrector which then plugged into a headphone amplifier via rca to aux lead then plug your headphones into that  Links below https://cpc.farnell.com/cyp/au-d18/lip-sync-corrector-adjustable/dp/AV21325https://cpc.farnell.com/pro-signal/psg3414/hi-res

Can’t get sound to come through Sony KD75X81KU when connected to Sonos AMP. Tried switching to TV speaker in settings but automatically goes to Sonos Audio system.

Hello,i am setting up a patio. My amp is inside the house in a media closet. I understand that if I want to have a sonos soundbar pair with an amp it would need to be in the same general area so this is not possible for me. What I do have is the ability to run any lines I want from the TV to my media closet. I want to use a sonos amp because the rest of the house is Sonos. So I am having trouble figuring out how to have a sound bar, rear speakers and sub connected to the amp and my TV. 

Hi Sonos Hivemind, I am just wondering if there is any benefit to linking 2 Sonos products together by Ethernet, but not to the Wi-Fi router.For instances, if I connected my Arc to my Sub by their ethernet ports, would it potentially improve their Wi-Fi connection and/or pairing? Similarly would linking a Boost to a speaker by ethernet improve signal receipt? Thank you in advance for your help.

Hi In the manual it says: “Note that Line-In is disabled on Era 100s that are being used as surround speakers in a Sonos home theater.”  What about a simple stereo-setup with two 100s? Kind regards 

I recently changed my Wi-Fi password and Sonos can’t connect now.  I’ve tried the steps the app suggests, and when it comes to writing the new password, it says Sonos cannot connect even with the new password typed.if I try to just “add new device” - the devices simply do not appear.  have lost 3 hours trying and nothing. Tried to reset the app, that also did not work.  haven’t changed anything else on my router (all same equipment and network) - and nothing.  any ideas? 

So I’ve got several Sonos speakers through the house and the Sonosnet ones are struggling with lossless multiroom, so I’m buying a Boost to help solve that. I’ve got 3 wifi only speakers, 5 on Sonosnet and an Arc SL that’s hard wired to ethernet currently.I’m on a Unifi network.Should I unplug the Arc SL and only have the Boost connected to the Unifi network via Ethernet to avoid network problems? Thanks 

Actually, I’ve a configuration with 2 x Play5 & 1 x Sub for Room1. It works well 👍I would now be able to use 1 of these Play5 in another configuration (for example outside). Idea is simple, disconnect (Power Off) of the Play5 … move it (outside for ex) - Power On - choose instead Room1, Outside on my Sonos Apps and be able to hear music through the Play5.I didn’t really search … but do you see a way to do it ? Thanks 😊  

If you’re using an AMP in dual mono mode, is the left/right balance adjustment still enabled so that if you wanted one of your mono channels/zones to be louder than the other one, you could actually accomplish that using the balance slider?

Hi, i have a ton of tech in my home on a wifi tplink mesh deco network, i have a powerline ethernet cable going to my garden which has a external wifi booster eap110 tplink to provide wifi in the garden. I have tried to keep the same ssid and password but sonos up just shows the devices as not connected to the same network, is there something clever i can do with changing ip addresses or something else to make the whole thing work. I want to be able to pick ip and move the ‘move’ to the garden from inside and maintain playing on all devices the same music. 

Do I need internet to pair together two sonos roams?  Can I use my wifi hotspot without internet if my ipad and two sonos roams are on the same network?  I would play music that is downloaded to the ipad.

I have an amp, arc, sub gen 1, two Era 100’s as surround back. Great ease for watching TV. However, I have a turntable and want to listen to it through the surrounds. In asking support once how to enable me to listen to the turntable, then switch to tv or music, was told by support that it would require a completely different set up and any time I want to switch between TV and music to go to turntable listening. Were they correct, that it required a new setup in Sonos 2 app each time. This sounded totally ridiculous and short sighted on Sonos’s part, but who am I to question. I assumed the fellow was wrong on the support line, so hung up and waited till I have a little time to try again. Called in again, and now, after reading and getting support on the phone to find a solution AGAIN, they told me the same thing. Can this be right??? Can I set up a ROOM for TV / Music and a ROOM for Turntable, they said NO. I feel like sending all the Sonos equipment back. this seems ridiculous….is it
