I’ve tried Google Music, Youtube Music, and Spotify.What is the best music vendor to use on Sonos so I don’t have to worry if someone else is listening to music in another room?

Is it possible to set up a turntable wirelessly/bluetooth to the Amp?

Sonos newbie here. So I have a Pro-Ject Debut Carbon turntable and a preamp that I would like to set up with a pair of Fives for stereo sound. Is it possible to hardwire both or do I just use a rca to 3.5mm to one of the Fives and then couple the 2nd Five using the software?  Greatul for any advice here!   

Hello everyone, I am having an issue that I believe is related to an iphone. My wife's iphone 8 was working fine with our Sonos network until it decided to not work. The app and said there were no Sonos items on the network. At that point I uninstalled the app, restarted the phone, restarted the router, power cycled speakers, etc.So now we cant even login in the app on one of our devices because it cant see any Sonos devices on the network.My iphone 8 plus is still able to connect, and my daughters iphone 7 both connect fine, we can see all the speaks, connect and link them together in a group.All iphones are running ios 14.3, and the Sonos apps have all been updated to current. The ios sonos app we are using is Sonos 12.2.2the router is a Google Nest mesh network. The Google Home app is version 2.32.11 no idea about hardware version or whatnot. Anyone have a problem aimilar to this?

HI, I have a play bar and 2 play 1’s set on my living room TV. I use optical feed from the TV direct to the play bar.  we have a problem that intermitently the sound changes from surround to what seem like music ambient play setting, so the vocal audio etc is sent to all three speakers, then at a random time ti will revert back to normal surround. So damn annoying!!! :-)Any ideas would be greatly welcomed!!! pleeeeeeeasecheers ALan 

Hi I know this has been asked many times before but it always seems to be in one direction.Now I have my HiFi system with record deck and CD player feeding into an integrated amp (NAD C 368). This drives two pairs of passive speakers. What I want to do is link my HiFi amplifier into Sonos so I can play my vinyl and CDs through my Sonos set up. All the other posts seem to be bringing Sonos into the HiFi or missing the HiFi amplifier out and connecting the record desk direct to Connect. I don't want to do this as I want to retain the record deck playing through the passive speakers in one room - which is much better quality than sonos, but want to be able to switch the HiFi output into Sonos around the rest of my house.My HiFi amplifier has a Pre-out. Maybe it is obvious but its a little unclear to me - can I just feed this into the Port or do I need the Amp?(stupidly I just upgraded to Sonos 2 and this stopped my exiting Connect:AMP from working as I think

I have an older PLAY5 plus two PLAY 1s and a BEAM and just  took delivery  of a new PLAY5  to be compatible with S2   I thought I could play all the  new compatible stuff with S2 but then switch back to S1 to include my new PLAY5 . S1 now says the Play 1s and the Beam is incompatible and can only use the old PLAY5 as a stand alone. Is this right as it is now what I previously read?

I have home with built in speakers throughout home in ceilings. I have Connect and output wires going to speakers and it shows playing thru the app but no sound. Do I also need a receiver going into the Connect as a Line in to hear the music?  Or can it just play trough the app and the WiFi. Thanks for any guidance. 

Watching the new series of Dark Materials on BBC iPlayer in UHD this evening through the iPlayer app on my LG Nano TV. I'm definitely getting really good surround sound through the rear speakers connected to my Arc, but the system says Stereo PCM 2.0. I am confused!! Any ideas?

I recently uninstalled and re-installed the Sono desktop controller - the reason being is that the displayed playlist did not reflec the playlist I have setup in iTunes. Specifically I now have under imported playlists, 11 (eleven) instances of a playlist called “downloaded”. There is no such playlist setup in iTunes! The contents of these playlist include non-playable songs (“Unable to play, the saher does not exists”) Its is pointing to an old share which is no longer in use.Is there anything I can do to solve this annoying problem?ThanksEd

Hi,I have recently purchased the Sonos Arc, w/sub & 4 one SL. The electronics store that I purchased it from guaranteed that I would be able to connect the Sonos to this projector and everything they sold me I’ve had nothing but issues. I have checked the forums here and have found this product as a highly recommended product. So, I feel really silly asking this, but:  I can’t find the radio station on S2 that’s been curated by Bjork. The only curated stations that appear in my Sonos Radio > Sonos Presents section of S2 are those by Thom Yorke, Ludwig Goransson, Brittany Howard, Third Man Records, and Full Spectrum/Pride.Am I missing something obvious? Are there limitations based on country? (I’m in Canada). Is the Bjork “station” actually just part of Sonos Sound System (in which case: where do you find the schedule for that station?). I’m probably missing something obvious. But: I’m also not an idiot. You’d think something this major (from a marketing perspective) would be a lot clearer. (I.e. just trying to figure out what Sonos Sound System is, as a station, has been a challenge).Any help would be appreciated.

Hi everyone, after searching high and low, I managed to set up the Sonos Arc as part of a 5.1 system to play perfect with the OLED65B9PLA and also using the Zappiti HDR 4K Pro as a player. I thought to share these settings with any Google searchers.OLED65B9PLA SettingsConnect the Arc using the cable included to HDMI 2, which is the eArc port. Turn the Arc on.The TV should, itself, now output sound to the Arc. Go to sound settings on the TV and under the sound output options for external speaker, select Passthrough (which will send the signal without any decoding from the device you are playing from, in this case the Zappiti, to the Arc). Also turn on eArc.In the more sound options, you can also set sound input for the device connected to each HDMI port. I have set all these to bitstream.With these settings, using the TV:You should be able to play any sound from any app on the TV itself perfectly. Try Atmos from N

We have 3 different phones with the S2 app loaded. Quite often the Sonos is running but one of us cannot connect despite good connection to the WiFi on all devices.  At the moment my Sonos system is playing yet I cannot connect with the app.

The vocal is very soft and when the surround comes in the police will knock my door . the center volume is very Low on the arc

Connect Amp and TV line-in 

Just got an ARC and 2 One SLs as surrounds. The Arc is connected via Ethernet and the SLs via WiFi.  The SLs keep disappearing from the app and trying to set them up as surrounds shows an error on the app and then presets them as connected. When trying to play surround move or to calibrate true sound the surround speakers do not respond or cannot be found. The WiFi reception near the speaker is very good. Diagnostic number: 1562118009 Thanks for helping, this is highly frustrating.

I have been searching for this question/discussion on this forum but haven’t found it. What I have found is the opposite; going from music playback back to tv audio without restarting the tv.    When I am listening to music on the Sonos or if the tv is already on and I am playing music, I will sometimes want to see or hear what’s going on on tv. If I switch the audio to tv or start the tv, the audio switches to tv and then when I want to continue listening to music, I have to start the playback from the beginning of the playlist, queue or radio. I find this rather annoying as I can never get to listen to any playlist to the end. I would like an option to continue music playback at the very point the switch was made to tv audio. It should behave as if I paused the music and then resumed playing it.    Does anyone know how to achieve this or am I the only one that wants this?

Hi everyone, I have written about the work-arounds I have used to dealt with DTS (for the PlayBar at the time: and DTS-HD for the Arc: Since the Arc now supports multi-channel LPCM (only through eArc), I am thinking of converting all the DTS-HD tracks to LPCM. I would welcome any thoughts or knowledge on this topic from other users!!The reason I want to do this is, as per my thread above, the best work-around I found was converting all DTS-HD tracks to Dolby Digital Plus (E-AC3) 970kbps, which was the highest quality of sound I could get the Arc to play in DD+.For these conversions, I used Make MKV to digitise my discs and then use XMedia Recode to add a new defa

After resetting my whole system i have not reconnected med Sonos Amp to my windows computer.But now the music don't play over the stereo. I am using jack cables like before.Before it would just autodetect that I played music on my computer and fire on the Amp.Is there a setting I am missing to turn on after my reset of the system?

anywhere an album title appears i would like to see the year. it is information i desire, and almost anything that plays music besides sonos provides this information. thanks.
