I just added an ADU to my house and want to have two separate sonos systems on one WIFI. One for the main house and one for the ADU. Ive tried to add another system but its not working. Can someone give me the step by step to add another system with different speakers? Would really appreciate it thanks
I was wondering if anyone has been able to A/B test the following two setups, and can recommend one over the other - intended for music listening. Two Sonos Era 300’s (stereo pair) + mini subORTwo FIVES (stereo pair) I know the Fives have much stronger low end, but I’m wondering if the sound stage of the era 300’s plus a sub mini would create something even better?
Hey everyone,I just upgraded my blu-ray player to the Panasonic UB-420 with the twin HDMI ports. I had the 150 and was able to get Dolby Atmos, but for some reason I can’t get it now and it seems the sound is being downscaled. I have an LG UN9000 tv, and no settings on that have changed, and the Beam (gen 2) is connected to the eArc with the pass-through setting on the tv. Does anyone know the settings i need from the blu-ray player and which port the audio HDMI cable should be in to get Dolby Atmos/Digital and multichannel PCM sound like I had with the previous player? Any assistance appreciated. Thanks,
Good day! We just bought an Era 100 for our seasonal porch, but we’d like to add the option of running our old (circa late 1990’s/early 2000’s) 5-CD player, which is inside our house, through the system. What does the architecture look like? What hardware do we need? Thanks.
I have an LG C1 with an Earc port. I have all setting set up how google searches say.Game sounds are not playing properly apart from in dolby digital.Example the witcher 3 i have 100s of hours on multiple platforms played i know how the game is ment to sound. With the beam 2 using 5.1 uncompressed all the ambient sounds are very hard to hear this is the same in atmos to.I even sent the beam 2 in for replacement. They sent me a new 1 same problem. Please understand I am not talking about sound quality the beam sounds great using lg tv apps but games other than in dolby digital sound dead.Atmospheric sounds like weather effects rain etc and the wind the hussle and bussle are almost inaudible.Tried Cyberpunk 2077 night city in any setting other than DD sounds empty you can hear cars driving and honking and music not much else even on a crowded street.Hogwarts legacy the great hall filled with students you can hardly hear it unless its on DD but the problem with DD is its compressed and not
Is it Spotify or is it SONOS that determines what feeds/categories/sections are available within the Spotify service when it is connected on the SONOS controller? I want to know who I should speak with because “DAILY MIXES” are no longer available to me via the SONOS controller, and some of the categories are using Spanish titles. e.g “Eschuchado receientemente”.
Forgive me for asking the same questions - About to start my install this week. Is the Arc the best for front speakers? Rear will be in wall not able to use “atmos”. So Arc or another pair of in walls for the fronts? Thanks!!
After the most recent upgrade to Sonos 13.4 (S2), I don’t see much cover art in the Sonos controller. More precisely, it seems that I see cover art if it is embedded into the MP3 file, but not if the cover art in a separate file called folder.jpg. In my collection, most albums have a folder.jpg, and only a minority of albums have embedded cover art. There are two reasons for this:Albums that originally had on CD, cassette or vinyl. For several years, Sonos was not able to display cover art that was embedded into the MP3 files that I bought, so I had to extract them to folder.jpg and remove them from the MP3 file.Is any one else seeing this? Or is this just some accident on my system?
Is it possible to put 1-2 Roams in the same location as an Era 100, and have them play as a set?
Hi, I subscribe to the PlanetRadio service to listen to Scala Radio without the adverts. I have successfully used this feature on my Sonos system for the past year however in the last fews weeks, the Premium features are not recognised and I get all the adverts. My PlanetRadio subscription works fine on my iphone and ipad. I have tried everything I can think of…Re-authorizing the service Removing the service and re-adding. Shutting down all my Sonos devices and starting up using one factory reset Play 1The problem persists. Does anyone else have a similar issue? Any solutions? I have contacts PlanetRadio but they’ve only suggested the basic re-authorizing steps. Tim.
Installed a new Sonos Amp (sitting indoors) wired to celling Sonos speakers over enclosed patio. The Sonos is connected with an HDMI cable from an outdoor Sunbrite TV arc port. The sound cuts out randomly for about 30 seconds while the video continues to play then the sound resumes. The video sources have been Verizon FIOS One box, an Apple TV latest gen and a Nintendo Switch. I replaced the HDMI cable from the TV to the Sonos and still having the same issue. I also replaced the HDMI cable from the source boxes to the TV. I’ve tried various sound settings between the source and TV.Note that music streaming never cuts out.I have Verizon Gig internet speed.Suggestions?
Not counting the S1 vs S2 benefit, is the new equipment better from the perspective of musical qualities? My main problem is that I use a single ZP100 as both an amp to drive a set of speakers in one room, and effectively as a ZonoPlayer by using the Audio Out connected as a source for my HiFi (turn off Hi-fi if not needed in that room or turn down Sonos Zone if not needed in the other). This does not seem possible with the new Amp (no audio output). So that aspect will need to be reconfigured. It is the improvements in sound quality that currently interest me. As always thanks in advance for any insightsEnEm
HiYesterday, I installed my Port and it worked largely as advertised. My system has a turntable, vacuum tube preamp and vacuum tube power amp. The port’s RCA inputs are connected to the preamp’s output, and the port’s RCA outputs are connected to the power amp’s Line in. I can play the turntable through the Sonos speakers, which is why I bought the Port, but I can no longer play the turntable just (not through the Sonos speaker) through the hifi speakers without first removing the Port. Is there an app setting I’m missing, or does the Port not just pass through audio signals if the app is not in use?
Hi there,I did search before I posted but never noticed a solution to my specific question I have a multi room setup at home with 7 Sonos devices all using S1.I use a Move as part of that system mainly for my hot tub but it is of course still part of the multi room system. This weekend however I would like to take the Move away from home to use in a motorhome at an event mainly to listen to the events local FM radio which might also be found being streamed and maybe Amazon Music or music from my iPhone.I have an electrical hookup on the pitch but if that fails I can of course use the 230v supply through an integral inverter. The motorhome does not have its own router and there is no Wi-Fi on site AFAIK. The only Internet access would be from my mobile phone but that depends on the coverage in the middle of a field and the contention that you usually see at an event. How best would I use the Move under these circumstances?Would I toggle it to Bluetooth, pair it to my iPhone and just use it
Out of a sudden no Genres, Titles etc. anymore. On Win 10 PC as well as on iPad. The NAS is still seen by my Win 10 PC and a playlist plays.Seems like the whole index is lost. No idea why, as I had changed nothing, no tracks added or deleted, no nothing. Also in the PC controller I can’t select a new indexing, as it is greyed out.Solution: deinstalled S2 completely, downloaded and installed it again, as admin and allowing firewall configuration (which I most probably had done the last time before also). Then I was allowed to index and after this was finished, Tataaa! Works. Question is for how long, because a few weeks ago I probably went through this already, as downloaded S2 install exe’s date tells me. This time I made a record of this.
I have two roam speakers in a single room as a stereo pair separated by about 4 ft on top of a TV stand. Wi-Fi router is in the adjacent room about 10 ft away. Why does one Roam always stay connected to Wi-Fi, and the other always disconnects? I’m tired of having to power cycle it every time I want to listen to them.
Does the Beam Gen2 work with an Android TV & an iphone &/or Mac?
I would like a sound bar but it wouldn't fit in my set up, or at best it would look ‘clumsy’, so a sound bar is not an option.
I have a Sonos 1 system with several speakers that are only able play at Sonos 1 level.I inherited some classic vinal and want to play over my existing level 1 speakers.I purchased a Connect and have the line out from the turntable going into line in on the Connect. The connect is connected to my Sonos 1 system and I can see it in the Sonos app.I cannot get any music to play through my speakers, have I purchased the wrong “Connect” to play my albums on my Sonos 1 system. Thanks in advance.
Unfortunately, I chose to update Sonos to 15.4 last night.I can no longer play any music ‘on this mobile device’ which is what I use almost daily. Is this a ‘feature’ where Sonos will no longer allow play from Androids, or a bug???
Hi all. I am looking at adding a soundbar for my living room (approx 12 ft x 20 ft open on one end) and am debating between Arc plus Sub Mini or Beam plus Sub. I realize that the Arc plus Sub is the best option but have read reviews stating that the Sub Mimi is adequate given the Arc added bass response and ofcourse looking to save some dollars. Leaning toward the Arc for the better Atmos. Thoughts, opinions or suggestions?
Do you deliver to Romania? ERA 300
Hi there Sonos communityI am planning to upgrade my Sonos setup in the living room which is the actually same room as the kitchen (48 sqm). I already have a Beam (1st gen) with two One as surround speaker around the TV.What do you think makes more sense?Adding a Era 300 in the kitchen or just a Era 100? I would like to also possibly be able to connect a turntable which calls for a new Era speaker :) Additionally add a Sub mini to the surround system? Forget about the Era and just add the Sub mini as budget is limited as well?Thank you and looking forward to your suggestions.
I subscribe to Amazon Music Unlimited (UK) and, for some months, they have added podcasts to their service. They do not appear at all, though, in the Sonos app.
My set up as follows:Older TVRoku Ultimate boxBeam gen 2 connected to tv2x SL Gen 2 Speakers set up as stereo pair.2x SL Gen 2 Speakers set up as surround sound. Please note I am a beginner in theater set up...My questions. The surround speakers located behind the couch at head height does not seem as loud as I thought they would be, are there anything else I should do? I increased the volume on the surround but I dont know if this setting will stay that way or will I need to increase the volume every time I watch tv?Regarding the stereo pair, should I have them placed next to the beam? They are currently about 2 feet removed from the beam, left and right. I made a grouping of the stereo pair and the surround. However when I listen to music on my other Sonos speakers, not including the stereo pair and then watch TV, I need to manually include them in the tv sound, am I doing something wrong? Any other tips to make the experience great? I will buy a Sub later when my budget allows it.
