Is there really no way to toggle the Beam (gen 2) Speech Enhancement & Night Mode via an IR remote? A user needs to have their iPhone nearby to toggle these (really) often toggled settings?? I’m finding this a rather substantial PITA, I might ditch this Sonos product altogether, and go with something more tightly coupled with my TV vendor (Sony).
The Sonos app cusses a mild headache. The app is awful and every aspect is so horrible that I don't know where to start. Please start over.I often end up using my phone, headphones or internal computer speakers just to avoid opening it.
Has anyone heard when these headphones will come to market? I held off buying a Sony in anticipation for this Wireless / Bluetooth version.Tim
Would like to build new system in living room. Primary use would be music. Secondary use TV. Don’t watch movies all that much. Living room + adjoining kitchen space is 12 x 30. Wondering whether to start with ARC or 2 speakers such as Era’s. Will be streaming Spotify
I have a beam, an arc and a sonos One. When in Spotify I group all the speakers, at the same volume level, I notice the Arc volume seems to be sound lower than the other speakers. Ther's a reason for this behaviour? Thanks!
I have a large outdoor installation of speakers connected to Sonos Ports. I wanted to create a schedule to disable/mute the speakers from 10PM to 10AM to prevent family members or guests from accidentally playing music outside and annoying my neighbors. It’s happened several times as they don’t always pay attention and there are so many ways to select the outdoor speakers (spotify, airplay, etc). Having the ability to have restricted or blackout times would be very helpful.
HiIs anyone in the UK who has a BT Smart Hub 2 having any issues with speakers disappearing or showing as not connected in the app? I’m having this issue lately both on my Android phone and iPad. I noticed the BT hub had an update at the end of June so don’t know if BT have messed it up again. My SonosNet speakers are fine and if my wifi speakers connect to the Wi-Fi disc on my landing they are fine in the app. If and when any show as not connected in the app, I know they are actually connected though, as if any music was queued on them, I can still manually press the play button and they will play. So it seems like a communication issue between the app and the router. Very frustrating indeed.
Best method to test/demo Beam gen2 Atmos - Maybe similar to 5.1 system where various speakers (LF, RF, LR, RR, C, SW) are emphasized? Or some Atmos content with specific known "Height" points etc...Not exactly sure what I expected from Beam/Atmos but somewhat disappointed.... Connected via eARC to latest LG OLED. Sonos App shows "Atmos Content" (Prime, Netflix Premium) connected. TruePlay calibrated. Use area is approx 20 by 14 w/sloping 19->12 foot ceilings, listening 10 foot front-center from Beam. Thanks!
General question: does boost help with connectivity issues when NOT using the Sonos mobile app? I get drastically different results when streaming music through Sonos app and Apple Music. When stream from apps other than Sonos, performance is spotty and spottiness increases when streaming to higher number of speakers.
I have a Beam Gen2 and 2 One SL speakers setup as a surround. The problem is, I can’t hear the satellite speakers unless I am, literally, 2 inches in front of them, and then barely. I know about “push the button on the One speaker in increase the volume” but that increases the total volume, not just the speaker. I am attached to the TV using the HDMI cable.
It has been three months since a feature request - mine and many others - was submitted to “turn on” the center drivers when the 300s are configured as surrounds as well as for Atmos. I would love to have the immersive audio where available and the 5.1 on non-immersive material. But I am not hearing 1) Not possible, or 2)Possible but not happening, or 3) happening ASAP.I feel as though we are being ignored.
Al reproducir desde la aplicación de alexa music y conectar el sonos amp no me da la calidad de audio HD pero cuando lo conecto con ariplay ahi si me la da ayudenme porfa
I have two new Sonos speakers on Sonos 2 in my house - I have just built a garden room with separate router and am trying to use on an old I now renamed play 5. It’s not S2 compatible. I assumed as it’s a separate network I could simply use Sonos one but I can’t get past the message to use S2 Sonos trying to bullying me into buying yet another product. I’ve looked online and there are instructions on how to remove my other components but then I can’t get into S1 - I love the sound but this company drives me crazy …… any advice on how to fix this welcome. I’ve even tried to set up a separate account with a new email and that’s not working as the network is ultimately connected to the same broadband connection.
Would love to add my playlists to the Sonos favorites. There’s no way to easily pull up my favorites once they have moved out of the “Recently Played” section or use automation to play a default playlist. It takes digging into several menus to get back to my perferred playlist.
Ok, so I bought an amp for three of the advertised functions, and I’ve only been able to get one of them setup successfully so far. Using amp to power two Polk outdoor speaker. Works great, sounds great! Using the amp to power a second sub for my home theater with Arc, Sonos SUB, and Era 300s. I can’t figure out how to use AMP with multiple setups. Use the line in to play records, etc through the home theater setup. What is possible and what isn’t? I haven’t been able to get my polk sub to play at all. Even if its just paired with the outdoor speakers. It get connected, but no sound. All of the features of the amp made it seem like a really good product for me, but not if I can only use one of them. Thanks in advance for any help. I’m fairly new to Sonos and I come from a more traditional home theater background.
After updating firmware today, I cant connect my sonos to WiFi Any one out there solved this issue?ASUS RT-AX88UFirmware v 3.0.0.4.388.22525AppriciateBrian
If I purchase two Fives and Subwoofer, do I need an Arc? I don’t necessarily care about surround sound but want a good home audio system. Haven’t bought Sonos before. Thx.
After updating to 15.5, the arc and sub have lost their punch and actually are being overpowered by the rear 300s. Anyone else experiencing this?
Have 6 Sonos in ceiling speakers with Sonos amp. Bringing amp down so it doesn’t cook in my attic, using wall plate to connect. Wiring in parallel per Sonos guide, can I just use a 4 binding post (2 pair) wall plate and consolidate in the attic combining 3 speakers per banana clip? Or is it better to have a 12 binding post (6 pair) wall plate and then consolidate LR ± in the Sonos amp. Would prefer to do the first as the mess will be on the other side of the wall vs in my cabinet and visible. TIA
So far have only used Sonos for music. I am now planning to change to Sonos for TV and wondered about either a Beam Gen 2 with the Submini, or the Arc on its own. My main question is which alternative gives best all round sound, including regular listening to music only. Not planning to use Dolby Atmos. Price seems roughly equivalent. Might add rear speakers in future but probably not. Currently have conventional 5.1 home cinema and experience is we don’t use surround element much. As always thanks for any advice.

Since my Sonos app was updated to version 14.18.2 I get constant the following notification:Sonos: Stopping the service may interrupt playback notifications I can disable it if I uncheck the Background Services Notification, but this should not be the solution…Samsung S21 Ultra running Android 13
Can the Port driving a slave amp be configured to work with an ARC to drive rear speakers in surround? Dan
Hi, My Sonos black Sub has died - after opening up the unit, taking out the pcb board and inspecting and testing components, the responsible pcb board component that has failed has been located. Is there someone who has disassembled their sub before, please share the details and/or a clear photo of the component labelled as R 37 on the Main PCB board please so I can source a replacement. Thanks in advance Sonos Community crew. Lenny K
