Hi,

I would like to get Sonos system (I don’t have any yet).

For the living room:

I’d like to keep my KEL LS50 W1 and my sub

B&W DB4S.

I’ll use this system for music listing and watching TV.

I understand so far:

Sonos amp: Ok for the sub but I need passive speaker

Sonos Port: Ok for the speaker, not the Amp, not the TV (lag)

I’d like to Add 2 Era 300 has a rear speaker.

Not a big fan of esthetic of a bar in this room (arc)

For the dinning room

I’d like to connect a beam gen 2 to the second TV

Is gen 2 a big difference w Gen 1?

Add 1 or 2 speaker in the open kitchen (Witch one?)

If the community can help me specially for the living room !

Living room.

You’re right: the Amp needs passive speakers, but would ad no lag as the Port would (if you could connect it to the TV). If the sub you own is active, it can be connected to the Amp. The Port cannot do surround, so no rear sepakers.

I’d question the use of Era 300’s with the Amp. The Amp does not do Atmos, so the Era’s will not be used tot their potential. Era 100’s, or Five’s if you want to use them for music will work beter in my opinion.

Dining room.

Difference between the Beam Gen 1 and 2 is mainly Atmos. Do you use it? Go for Gen 2, if not a used Gen 1 is the cheaper option.

Do you aim to use the extra speakers as rears, or for music? In both cases the Era 100’s or One SL’s will do though.

Thx for your answers:

So best for me will be:

Living room

Amps + sub B&W + LS50 (passive one) or other + ERA300

=> I get Atmos in this conf & I have to less my LS50 W1

If you know good front speaker for this use other than LS50, let me know.

Dining room

No Atmos required, just to watch TV during cooking, extra speaker for music, so will get the cheapest one

Is that correct?

AMP does not support passive subwoofers.

Is an active One B&W DB4S.

As I said you will not get Atmos using an Amp. Yes the Era 300’s are Atmos capable, but the Amp (that is commanding them in a surround set up) is not. I can’t comment on which passive speakers to use. That’s up to your ears…..

Ok thx, so if Atmos I'll have to get Arc and era 300.

Thx

Yep. Beam Gen 2 would also be possible, but Arc fits better with Era 300’s.

Good to know, my only concern is about my current sub witch is a beast for me when I hear it.

In theory you shouldn’t hear a Sub, but just sense it. The Amp is the only Sonos device that can use non-Sonos subs.
