I am in the initial planning stages of a system for a new home currently under construction - more on that later.  Right now, quick question - If I have a Sonos Amp powering 4 ceiling speakers, can I wirelessly connect a Sonos Sub to that as well?  So my Amp powers the 4 ceiling speakers and the powered Sub connects wirelessly and works as well? Or  - would it need to be wired to the Amp RCA? Or - Am I better powering 2 ceiling speakers and a passive dual-voice coil sub in this zone? I am concerned that ceiling speakers alone will not give the depth and bass that a sub will add. I am brand new to Sonos - don’t own anything yet, but not new to home audio.

I can’t install the sub mini. The app says he can’t find it. I tried to reconnect power, pushed the button, light is white, blinking or red, blinking. Nothing works. What am I doing wrong?

tl;dr - are you able to play from Amazon Music Unlimited to Sonos via connected devices or only via AirPlay or Bluetooth?I just treated myself to a pair of Era 100s (paired as stereo “Office”) and down the rabbit hole of hi-res audio streaming services, starting with Amazon Music Unlimited (Individual Plan).I prefer to browse and play through the streaming app, especially with Amazon’s additional labels (Atmos, HD, Ultra HD, etc.). I’m unable to play from the Amazon Music app to Sonos.I’m able to do this on Spotify. I’d stream through “another device on this network” (instead of “AirPlay or Bluetooth”) without any issue:When I try to do that through Amazon, it connects to Office but won’t go beyond this screen and music won’t play:After that, if I try to play Amazon through the Sonos App, I get a notification about device limits: So, I can play from Spotify to Sonos via network devices, but unable to from Amazon to Sonos via network. Hi all,I have my music library stored on a Synology NAS drive and it has been working without issue until recently - I may have made some changes to the S2 settings and screwed it up.At any rate, I have all my playlists, etc with Apple Music and am able to play all of the music via Apple Music from the source files that are stored on the NAS.In S2 I have all of the same playlists, etc. but for any and every song that I attempt to play S2 indicates that it cannot locate the file.For Apple Music my preferences are pointed to /Macintosh HD/Users/username/Music/Music_NAS/Media.For some reason on the S2 the Music Library is pointed to //Diskstation/Music. The location of the iTunes files are actually located in //Diskstation/Music/iTunes.The file structure for iTunes (Music) makes me crazy. I want to say that I set up iTunes to point locally for the playlists but have the files stored on a NAS for performance (maybe this was a suggestion by Synology).At any rate, any thoughts on how to get

I was about to buy a Sonos Five speaker (discounted now) because we’re moving and I will switch to Sonos. But I just found out, the speaker was released in 2020. I don’t need it immediately and I am willing to wait a few months. Haven’t found any info online either if a new version is in the pipeline. Of course there is the ERA 300 but since I’m listening to non Dolby Atmos music most of the time, the Five might still be the better choice?  Also: I will connect my Technics SL-1200 and listen to records.

I am considering purchasing Sonos speakers and considering a variety of approaches. The room is about 12 X 20 X 9. Our sitting area is about 8-10 feet from the TV. The TV is a 3 year old 55” Samsung, it has ARC HDMI output but not eARC. We have a new Xfinity cable box and good Internet connection.The TV is currently mounted above an enclosed gas fireplace, which has an 8” shelf on the top of it. The TV is mounted to the wall above the fireplace shelf on a swivel arm connected to the wall which lets me move it out to be flush with the outer edge of the fireplace shelf or all the way back to the wall taking up ~2” of the shelf.The swivel does not let me raise or lower the TV at this point.I like the idea of a Sonos Arc (and optionally 2 sonos one’s for rear speakers), but not sure if this will fit our setup.I see two choices were we to get a Sonos Arc: 1) raise the height of the TV so that the Arc can be on the shelf above the fireplace - either by adjusting the TV swivel arm (i.e. re-at

Hi there I am trying to set up some sound for a retail store.  The store is about 50m2 (500 sqft). It’s a dispensary so I def. want to create a vibe in there but not blast it super loud.  Behind the counter there is a flat surface with plenty of space to put a record player and speakers. Am I better off buying two fives or 4 smaller ones with a sub ? How would I connect the vinyl player to the system ? I know it can connect to the Fives, can it also connect to smaller speakers ?  Since it is a retail store with rotating staff I want something fool-proof, so a wired solution between record player and speaker is preferred over anything Bluetooth.  Thanks for any help ! 

I want to install 2 speakers in one room and make them play in stereo.  This is for playing music only. Will 2 Era 100 play well in stereo?

I just updated my system to S2 v15.1 and my Gen2 subwoofer failed (my Sonos1, Playbar, Amp2 all updated fine).  I tried resetting, reconnecting, rebootng and nothing worked.  I called tech support and they went thru the same steps, said it was likely a fault.  They cannot “see” the sub on their end and offered an RMA #.  Now I have to buy a new subwoofer “at a discount”, which will still cost me more than $600.    Is there anything beside 1) restarting the sub (white flashing light doesn’t go green), resetting to factory default (orange/white flashing light doesn’t go green), rebooting by Boost, rebooting my router, that I can do on my end?

Hello guys, I am new to the Sonos systemIf I use the Spotify App (On Desktop), will it recognize the Speaker group I set up from Sonos and play music to that group?At my work site, they want to have a main operator and a backup person (so that when the main operator is busy, this person can play music instead). Can I use one Spotify account to sign in on both Desktops? 

I currently have a whole house audio system with 6 Sonos Amps.  In two of those rooms, I have a separate TV/Audio/Speaker setup with their own speakers tied to Sony STRAZ1000ES receivers.  All the Sonos amp as well as the STRAZ1000ES receivers are all nicely stacked in one location.  I know the STRAZ1000ES has the “Works with Sonos” feature but for the life of me I do not understand it.  Can someone provide direction and/or feasibility to do two things that I would love to accomplish with these lovely items. I would love to watch the TV and have the audio play through the whole house audio (Sonos Amps).  I see the TV Line in option on the Sonos app but from what I understand it is only available if I’m using a sound bar option? Is there a way to play the audio that is playing through the whole house audio through the STRAZ1000ES at the same time?  I assume this is what the “Works with Sonos” is all about but cannot figure it out.  Plus, since the receiver acts as my main audio player f

Hi, I recently got a Sonos Beam Gen 2 to go with my new Sony Bravia XR A90K 4K OLED UHD TV. The sales person at the store claimed I wouldn’t need WiFi to be able to use this device with my TV, and this TV having lots of automatic compatibility with various devices. I unfortunately don’t have WiFi or any way to get it currently, so not needing WiFi to use this device was a selling point for me. I come home and find out I DO need WiFi apparently to set it up and configure it. I heard there was some sort of workaround involving using 2 phones, but I don’t think I got it to work. I noticed that my Sonos device does react to me using the volume controls on my TV, I can turn the volume up and down, and I definitely can tell when the device is unplugged; so obviously it is working somehow despite not being set up using WiFi. What I want to know is, will not being able to set up and configure it using WiFi cause the device to put out inferior sound, since I would lack access to any of the conf

I can’t get the Sonos controls to appear on the IOS locked screen.

I set up my new Sonos Beam (but I am going to switch it to a Sonos Arc) to my LG Smart TV.  I couldn’t figure out how to connect the Beam to the receiver so just connected to TV.  Problem 1:  I only get the Beam to produce sound from streaming TV.  I tried various configurations to get my Direct TV stations to have sound thru the Beam with no luck.  Problem 2:  My TV is only a year or 2 old.  It only has the Arc Hdmi port and 2 more HDMI ports, and 2 usb ports.  I believe I have to use the Yamaha Receiver to connect my DVD player, Blue Ray Player, CD Player to my tv. But how do I get the sound to come thru the Beam, or Arc?Problem 3:  I also would love to get my Yamaha Receiver’s radio to come thru the Beam.Problem 4:  I’ve read some of the conversations on similar problems and I hope I am wrong, but it seems that Sonos made very good quality wireless speakers but made them so they can not be connected to a receiver.  It seems many people are in the same predicament where we have recei

I have a Gen 1 Beam.  It won't play as the system tells me it is incompatible.   It is still in great condition but I can't get it to register in my system settings.  How do I fix?

Just purchased a Sonos Arc, I am going to slowly switch all my audio to Sonos.Current setup in my theater room is a projector (Panasonic PT-AE8000), and the receiver (Yamaha RX-V677). I have a PS5, Roku, NES Switch, and obviously the projector running through this receiver.I have been reading and looking up info online for the past few days and cant get a solid answer on a solid setup to get the Dolby Atmos sound I want with the Sonos.Will a HD Fury resolve my issues and I can keep the old equipment? If so where do I place that unit at? Or can I get a receiver that has dual HDMI outputs, one for the projector and one for the Sonos Arc? Thank you all for your time.

I’m considering buying a Sonos One SL as a stand alone speaker but want to know if I’ll be able to use Siri via my iPhone to play Spotify music and Sonos radio channels? I have a feeling it might only be able to use Apple Music, which I don’t use.

Hello,I have noticed many times now that when on my desktop and i'm adding songs to the the queue from my library and choose them to add them to the end it places them at random spots in the queue instead of actually putting them on the end/last. What's up with that? I now have to look them up in the queue and manually drag them to the end. What could be causing this?  -Edit- I just selected 2 tracks at the same time and added them to the queue and they got placed at different spots apart from each other….🤔

Hey all -  I FINALLY got ATMOS working correctly with my new Sonos-based home theater setup using an Xbox Series X and a newly purchased Samsung QN90A series television (85”). It took me days to get it synced right and get rid of an audio delay in the whole setup, especially with dialog. Here’s how to pull it off. The important part is that you have to configure things to let the ATMOS/surround sound signal go straight to the ARC for decoding instead of the TV trying to help along the way (causing audio delays and other issues). Home Theater Setup: Xbox Series X → QN90A TV via HDMI 4 (the only HDMI 2.1 port on the TV)HDMI 3 → Sonos ARC (the only port on the TV that supports eARC)(Not that I’m using two PLAY:1’s as surrounds and a SUB as well) Samsung QN90A settings:eARC set to auto Audio set to Pass-through IMPORTANT (NOT auto or PCM) ATMOS turned onXbox Series X settings:ATMOS for home theater (HDMI) IMPORTANT: in other audio settings, MAKE SURE PASS-THROUGH IS TURNED ON. Our home theatre group is comprised of an ARC SL with ARC  connection to an LG OLED, a Sub Gen 3, and two Play 1s as surrounds.  Other groups elsewhere in the house are comprised of several One SLs and one first gen Symfonisk. There is a Boost wired to the Verizon Fios router. The problem is, if the HT group is not playing while other groups are, turning on the HT stops playback in the other groups on network. It’s annoying…Any way to fix this?

Have used trueplay in a number of settings at home  which involves  stereo pairing of the era 300 with a sub mini … Initial impressions post trueplay at the various locations appear attenuation of the high frequencies ..a quick A/B  with and without Trueplay confirms this in my case  … However does Trueplay improve over time and if so what sort of timeframe ? 

Just a (maybe dumb) question regarding ATMOS, 5 and 7.1.   So if I’m watching a source that isn’t available or playing in Atmos, like (Dolby pure HD, or DTS), will the ARC and 300’s still play the upward firing drivers?
