Hello there What do you think will be the next product from Ikea/Sonos?I hope for a Gen 2 of the frame and the replaceble “picture” get new faces……and Ikea get the ones they offer in stock.Same for the BookShelfs…need new front grills and get them in stockMaybe there will be a smaller and a bigger frame than it is today….like two options.   

Hi We are currently building a 3 level townhouse . On the bottom level I will have a high end hiding system inside . There will be 3 balconies and I am looking for a good sound system on each of the 3 level balconies, it needs to be based on wireless speakers as I do not  want to run anymore cables from inside to out . I will have a very good wifi mesh system.  Each balcony is outside with ocean views but undercover . I have allowed to have power outlets 2 metres above ground on each side of each of the balconies . My high system DAC uses tidal and Roon . my question is : would era 300 or Sonos 5 or move Pairs on each balcony be best ? Or is there a better solution . I want to be able to control what balcony is playing at any time and if at all possible have different things playing on different balconies  cheers and thanks for any input  Warren 

Hi All, Due to heat from fireplace I am forced to place Arc 10cm from the ceiling. I can tilt the arc forward. Will it be ok?  Br Rasmus

I listened to them, and they were fantastic, but I am not sure if they will be worth it in the future.I don't want to buy new speakers next year after making such a significant investment. The latest upgrade offers a clearer sound quality with low power usage. In the past, audio quality was subpar till Bluetooth 5.1, especially with expensive speakers and headphones where the difference can be easily noticeable. Hi Folks👋 Orginal Sonos stands for Era 100/300: Are they simmilar,only different is shape of attachment of base to speaker.So in reality i can purcase what so ever stand(100 or 300) and i could just change the top depending on if i got the 100’s or the 300’s….you follow me?For example in my case,i got the 100’s on stands. I will purcase the 300’s but if i purcase the stamds i can just remove the top part from the 300-stand over to my allready mounted 100’s?Then my next question will be: If they match as in Q1⬆️,why does not Sonos offering this item? Need to buy the complete kit with the stands.Or does the “Sonos wall-mount” fit on a stand as well(problem solved?). 

I authored the above discussion about 2 years ago. However, I think it's still relevant (as far as basics) and appropriate for this group.Sonos has since pushed out a few updates to the Arc and introduced a speaker (Era 300) that can be used as rears x 2 to complete the Dolby Atmos experience. I've added dual subs to my setup. As the Arc is pushing the 5 year mark what improvements do you believe are needed (if any) to keep the Arc as a viable Dolby Atmos speaker/soundbar?  It’s too early to discuss changes/improvements to the Era 300; and the Era 500 is still just a rumor. Even if it were introduced it might be overkill as a surround much like the Fives are in some situations.My improvement to the Arc would be a better center channel for dialogue. I'm using ATV with YTTV and the Sonos app says sound is in DD 5.1 when watching NFL in multiview. In reading other forums, YTTV is only stereo in multiview, and it's clear this is the case when putting my ear to the surrounds. When switching to an individual game rather than Multiview, 5.1 kicks in.So why does the Sonos app say it's 5.1 when the multiview broadcast is stereo? This makes me doubt Sonos' software recognition.

I have a Sonos Beam connected to a TCL Roku TV- with no other speakers or accessories connected. While watching TV, the audio from the Beam will randomly dip low, about 80% lower than the current volume, for 3-4 seconds, then return to normal volume. This only started happening after I started using Sonos Voice Control. So I initially was suspecting that the Sonos Voice Control was getting triggered by TV’s audio, and thinking someone on TV is saying “Hey Sonos”. But over time I’ve noticed it appears that it happens more randomly than that suspicion.To estimate- while watching a 2 hour movie, this happens 1-3 times on average.I contacted support in the past, and sent in Diagnostic Numbers, but they wanted me to change the HDMI cable or get on video support which I didn’t have time for.Anyone else experience this?Any ideas why this happens?

Is there a way to remote disconnect a specific speaker or music service in order to turn off an alarm while I’m traveling (ie not home on the network)? I’m trying to figure out how to spare my poor neighbors in Brooklyn from the alarm currently going off in the apartment. I’ve truly had it with this system…

Hello all, My current music systems consist of: Deezer Family Subscription2x pre-digital hi-fi separates systems, both with tape loops, one with a turntable, the other with a minidisc playerSonos Roam I’ve been trying to tease out how best to link these all together. 2x Ports would peg me with roughly £800 costs, so I’ve started looking at 2x Connect Gen 2 instead, for £300ish. I understand that they’ve been discontinued and I’m avoiding Gen 1s and have read about the S1/S2 split. The Roam, bought new, is the only experience I have of Sonos. If I buy used Connect Gen2s, will there be any non-obvious gotchyas around adding them to my sonos account or their usage, or do I simply reset them and they will behave as you’d expect with new gear?

As someone who primarily listens to rock music, a significant portion of the sound of the music that I listen to comes from the mid range. On Sonos speakers, the bass sounds great and the treble sounds great, but the mid range is barely audible. That's where all of the guitars are, along with the vocals a lot of the time. This leads to the music sounding muddy and lifeless.I love Sonos speakers and I’ve been a customer for years. I’ve told many people about Sonos, singing it’s praises. I think they’re high quality speakers, the features are absolutely fantastic and they’re aesthetically pleasing as well. I would love to be a lifelong customer of Sonos, outfitting every room with a Sonos setup. However, if Sonos does not make changes to accommodate the needs of listeners of genres that require good mid range frequency response, (and I would argue that all genres do, actually, it’s just more noticeable in some than in others), then unfortunately I will have to transition to ano

I have a Samsung TV and a Beam Speaker.   When I turn on the TV, the Sonos App on my iPhone no longer recognizes that the TV is on and I am unable to control the TV (Beam) volume with my iphone Sonos App. I am still able to use my Samsung remote to adjust the Beam volume, but I prefer to use my iphone Sonos App to adjust the volume .  How do I get my iphone Sonos App to recognize that the TV is on? I already checked Settings on the Sonos app, and “TV Autoplay” is turned on. I tried turning the TV Autoplay on and off, and I tried turning off and on my iPhone, but this did not help . 

Hi folks!I currently have a single  Sonos One Gen2. It is in another group than my Playbar, Sub and Play 3’s.I use it for radio listening and my deezer playlists. And to set timers (super usefull).To add volume and quality of the sound should I:add another one to the opposite corner of the room? move the one gen2 to another room and replace it with a single era 100? move the one gen2 to another room and replace it with a single era 300? move the one gen2 to another room and replace it with Sonos move gen 2?thank youNeven

We have an in home Sonos speaker system for our music & televisions. I want to purchase the best turntable that will adapt to our Sonos system. Can you recommend one?

I have 3 sources (Nvidia Shield, PC & Golf sim PC).  Arc+sub+era+era as the audio target. Benq LK936ST projector as the video target.  I had been successfully using a OREI HDA-935 audio extractor but the 2nd one just died after 3 months of use. Can anyone point me in the direction of a more robust/reliable option that will maintain full audio fidelity?  Thanks! 

Looking to update my Sonos S1 system which includes a Bridge, Boost, and 2 Connects.  What do I upgrade to?

I have a Panasonic TV and Sonos Beam plus Sub Mini and two Ones at the rear.Due to the failure of the HDMI ARC port on the TV I have had to connect the Beam to the TV using the optical port and the provided adaptor.Will there be any difference in audio quality and what will be the downside of not having CEC (or Viera)?PS I am still able to use the remote for volume even though it says "speakers off" when adjusting volume. 

Hi All, I have an AVR and I connected a port to it. Now I can switch to the Port input and it will play stereo out the left and right channels in my theater. My AVR has sub pre-out’s and I want to purchase a powered sub and attach it to one of  the pre-outs. Will the Sub work with the music streaming out of the Sonos Port ? I obviously also expect the sub to work when I am just using the theater normally as well. I am still figuring out how to also replicate the stereo sound to my rear channels as well. I have a Denon S660H if that helps. Would appreciate any feedback on this.Thank you.​​​​​​​  

Hi,I’m not sure which products to choose when upgrading. Pls help :) My current setup is listed below, I’m currently using the S1 app.Amplifier: Connect AMP Main speakers: B&W 606 Subwoofer: B&W ASW608 Extra speakers: Play 1 (2 pcs) Sonos BridgeI would like to switch out the old Connect AMP with the new Amp in order to get my TV connected to the setup…. questions:Will I be able to keep my Main speakers and Subwoofer? Will I need to switch out the Play 1 speakers (dont think they work with the S2 app)? Will I still need my Sonos Bridge, or does it have to be replaced? Does anyone have any recommendations for cheaper alternatives to the Sonos Arc?I'm looking for a quality home theater sound system that has similar specs to the Sonos Arc. I also want the system to be compatible with other Sonos products.Thank you for your help!

Hi - has Spotify disappeared from Sonos for others? It’s vanished from my app - and I can no longer add it as a service, or play to Sonos from the Spotify app. Hoping a glitch as haven’t seen anything about this anywhere. cheers!

Hello, I have a brand new LG OLED65G29LA and a brand new Sonos Arc.I have connected both with the included HDMI cable from Sonos. Then, I switched on the TV and set up the preferences for sound to HDMI.Then, I started the Arc the first time, added it to my Sonos system and the Sonos App asked automatically to serahc for an HDMI-Arc connection. But it fails. I did this several times.No success. I´ve tried both HDMI ports at the LG TV. Anyone an idea how to connect both in the right way? Thanks

My Sonos Beam was working perfectly with my Samsung tv until the other day and now it will still play music through the app. But doesn’t work with the TV. Have re set TV and the beam too. Doesn’t work. Please HELP!!

I recently purchased a couple of Era 100s and set them up as surrounds with my Beam Gen2. I can’t shake the feeling that there is some delay between the Beam and the Era’s. This manifests in a slight echo, mostly noticable with 5.1 tracks that have a fair amount of ambient sound/music. Not sure if that maybe also due to my room acoustics. Also i had a couple of dropouts (Era 100s only) the other day.Sadly there is no way to check/debug connection issues as far as i am aware of due to the Era line not using SonosNet anymore or at least the Sonos Matrix doesn't show anything in my case. Is there any other way to check for issues or do i need to contact Sonos Support? Not sure if i'm imaging things here but it would be good to at least rule out any technical issues.My Beam is wired btw. and the two Eras are connected to a fairly good Wifi6 AP. 

Hi there2 days ago my Samsung tv stopped sending sound through my Beam and surrounds. I’ve tried all the previous suggestions such as TV software update, unplugging all cables from both sides etc. the App says it’s connected to the tv but still no sound. If I reset / unplug everything as above then the sound comes through again but once I turn the Tv off the lights on all speakers start to flash white and  it’s not recognised again once I turn things on again? any help would be appreciated before I end up resetting all speakers to factory reset thanks Dan
