Hi, After moving in a new flat, I was looking at SONOS option for some weeks, and would like to finalise my order, but I thought to send a short message to be sure that my possible future set up will work well. I have a “big” open room with a Kitchen, a Leaving Room and a Music Studio with existing speakers(see plan attached) and I would like to have it all connected through wifi. But based on my budget, I am considering to buy some older generation SONOS speakers such as Play 5 and/or Play 3 with newer model ONE SL and Move. But if I keep the Play 5 Gen 1, I will have to stay on S1 app. For me, the most important is to be able to hear all “traditional” output everywhere (Turntable, Mixing Table Output) as well as mobile and Computer output through Wifi. Do you think that the setup attached would work, and do you have advice on the few questions there:- to connect the turntable, is a Play 5 Gen 1 stereo pair better than and Play 3 Stereo pair + Connect?- do I need a connect AMP to
Hi all. I bought the Sonos sub with the notion of placing under my couch (foolishly without measuring) and it won’t fit. I can place it in a cupboard in my built in TV unit. Wife hates the look of it so this is my only shot. Would this be pointless or ineffective? Is it supposed to be on the ground? Would the sun being placed in a piece of wooden furniture sound terrible or vibrations that would diminish my sound system? Units not test installed so I can’t test and secondly as it is still in its packaging I may be better off returning the item. thanks.
I’ve recently purchase an open-box Sonos Port from Best Buy, in US. After bringing it to Brazil, I found out it had been previously registered to an account that obviously I don’t have access. Will a factory reset allow me to register it to my account?
I have a Denon DRA-697CI with two pairs of high quality wired speakers. Also have two Sonos One and a Sonos Roam. My current setup is to use one (echo Dot into the Denon for Alexa controls) or the other (via Sonos app). I’m wondering if the Port would enable me to use all speakers together, or if others have had issues with wired and wireless speakers playing at the same time and controlled remotely.
If I place an order a Beam next Tuesday morning, when can I expect my item to be delivered to the UK ? Thanks
Is there a way to disable unwanted sound effects? The music getting louder or softer as I swipe my finger on the Era 100 is exactly the function I expect of a volume control, yet there’s a second artificial sound that not only inexplicably intrudes on the music experience but is redundant of what I can already hear. Please tell me there’s a way to make the beeps go away, they’re harshing my mellow, offending my fellow listeners, and I think make the system sound like a cheap toy. 🤞
Recently my 10 yo Bose Lifestyle 535 system died. Looking at building a Sonos system. Basically we would use the system for music over Pandora and Netflix shows/ movies. So far I have purchased an Arc soundbar and a mini sub. Now looking for speakers. My questions are;Is there any advantage in buying from Sonos? I see that several local stereo shops sell the Move 2, Era 100 and 300. The major retailers like Best Buy, Costco and Sam’s also sell Sonos equipment. Not much difference in prices among them. .Historically, does Sonos offer Black Friday or Cyber Monday sales on speaker?Thank you.
I have a Arc, and 2 x era 100’s in my “Tv Room”. the era 100s are set up as surrounds to work with the arc.however, i can’t find an option to EQ only the arc, or only the Era 100’s. it seems the EQ applies to all devices in the TV room. is this normal?
Hi,My original topic was closed and had a follow up question based on Bruce’s recommendation.I have these specific zones pre-wired:Living Room (5.1) Kitchen (pair of speakers) Patio (pair of speakers) Master Bath (pair of speakers)With these specific areas I would need:1x Port for living room3x Sonos AmpsIs this correct?
We have a Beam (pretty sure it’s gen 2) in our living room and wondering what to prioritise adding, and which model of each to get:Sub: mini vs standard Era x2: 100 vs 300We listen to music via Spotify, watch films via Sky Q, and use our PS5. Would love opinions on whether it’s really worth going for full Sub and 300s vs Mini and 100s, or a mix and match eg 100s plus full Sub. Would also love opinions on which of the two (sub vs eras) will make a more immediate difference, if we didn’t want to buy all at once. Would also love advice on placement. Our room is 6m x 4m, and the TV+beam is currently against the left-hand 4m wall. Our sofa is in the middle of the room facing the TV directly, ~3m away from the TV. Should the Eras go directly behind each corner of the sofa, on stands in the middle of the room, or is it fine for them to go on the back wall 6 metres away from TV? Back wall would look better.

How many max Symphonisk can I pair at once. Can I pair 10 of them together ?
Both of my ONE Gen2 Sonos speakers suddenly stopped working and will not power on. Have tried different outlets, etc. I just got them In May 2021. Is this common lifespan for Sonos speakers??
Hi,Hope someone can help please.I currently have in a living room the wiring for 5 channel speakers but have removed the home cinema setup to another room.I have an Arcam A32 and Tannoy Signature DC6 using the front stereo speaker wiring fed by a Sonos Connect (gen 1).I'm in process of upgrading to gen 2 and was thinking Sonos Port. However I was then thinking I could maybe get an Amp instead be able to use it for TV (hdmi) as well. In this scenario:-- Could the Amp use the A32 for the fronts (RCA)?- Could the Amp then power passive rear speakers using its own amps or I'd have to use Sonos wireless speakers?- What comes out of the digital out on the Amp in this case? Is it the full 5.1?- What would happen if I played music in such a setup? Does the Amp create a surround effect from the stereo or just play to the front speakers? Or maybe can be configured to do either? Please if anyone has experience/ knowledge of Amp and can answer these would be much appreciated. Thanks, Ian.
When will the Sonos controller for MacOS be updated to run natively on Apple Silicon?
I know about Spotify, Amazon and Pandora, are there any others that support ratings in the Sonos app?
Hey everyone,I saw this was partially covered on a previous thread, but since that was a couple of months ago I started a new one.Received my Era 300 about an hour ago today, and the back is not uniform at all, with a much bigger gap on the back plate on the top right hand side. This is very noticeable too, and whilst I appreciate this is not a new issue I am a little surprised it is still happening nearly 2 months after it was first reported.Called support and whilst on the phone to them I also noticed the grill at the top right has a similar gap, which you can push in, only to come back out a few minutes later.Support reassured me the next one should be good, but really, how can they promise this? Do they have a “good” batch and a “bad” batch?Lugging this box all the way to the pick up point tomorrow and hoping for the best.A bit of a fiasco, especially when I will be away soon and likely to take ages swapping the speakers but there you go.Whilst we are at it, any news on the front dr
Hi allI think I know the answer, but want to to tap the collective community brains for confirmation.7 years ago we set up a media wall for the TV and sonos Playbar paired qwith 2 Sonos play1’s as rear surrounds. The TV and playbar are in a recessed wall unit. The depth of the recess is 14cm. The playbar is 10cm from the top of the recess, 10cm above the 55 inch TV. The width of the recess is 1450mm (as per the attached pics)We needed this set up to ensure the TV was not too high and up unitl now, we’ve had no issues. We are upgrading the TV and looking at upgrading the soundbar to take advantage of Dolby Atmos.Looking at the size and design of the Arc, it seems like it would be too close to the top and sides of the recess to be optimal. I think it would still be 10cm from top and 15cm each side.So my question is, would we be compromising the benefits of the arc? Would the sound from the side and upwards firing speakers would get distorted. In which case are we better sticking t
I have an arc bar. I would like to buy two speakers. I'm hesitating between fives and era300s. I use 50% music in stereo and 50% in home cinema. What do you recommend ?
Has anyone used something like this successfully to reduce audio delay? Right now I have a traditional mixer board and have tried several solutions but the RCA input delay/lag is quite annoying! Here is the HDMI mixer I found…https://www.soundtown.com/collections/microphone_systems/products/swm16-max I was thinking one of these setups below might work to reduce audio delay? Option 1Apple TV => Mixer => HDMI1 on TVThen use HDMI ARC output on TV => Sonos Amp Option 2Apple TV => HDMI1 on TV => Mixer via HDMI ARC Then Mixer => Sonos AMP via Optical&HDMI adapter For reference I currently have a Samsung Frame TV (if it matters)… What I don’t know is if option 1 will work since I'm not sure if the mixer is capable of arc passthrough? and then for option 2 I wasn’t sure if this would solve any of the delay issues I have or would it be the same problem with audio delays? I’ve done a bunch of searching on forums + reddit/etc but haven’t seen much new stuff on this topic… Th
Is there a way for the sonos engineers to allow trueplay for the era 300 when used as rears for home theater setup? I have android and would need an iPhone to do trueplay for everything. I could borrow an iPhone to do this but sometimes I need to reset these devices for it to work correctly and I would need to do the trueplay all over again.
Can I combine the Beam Sound Bar with two One speakers for surround sound
I asked this question over in the sonos reddit forum and others are having same issues so thought I would bring over here. What are people using for their usb charger for the Sonos move? I attempted to use my MacBook pros charger but it didn’t work. I have the 60watt brick but from what I read it should be able to still work.So then I read it might be the cord as they have chips in them and knowing Apple they locked their cord down. So I bought an anker power line 3.1 usb c cable and tried it with the MacBook brick again and it still didn’t work.So before I keep buying and returning curious if anyone has had success with certain chargers with the move. Thanks!
Can I connect Sonos Play:3 Speakers to my laptop?
