Bought new amp to connect tv to the good speakers that are already in place. The amp plays Apple Music etc through the speakers but the TV will not play the sound through the speakers. I have tried both HDMI ARC and tried optical output the the adapter.

Also make sure TV Autoplay is enabled under the Amp’s settings in the Sonos app.

As a guess, there is something not turned on on the TV. Either ARC/eARC, or the digital out (the optical port). Double check your HDMI cable is connected on the TV side to the port labeled with ARC, is the cable from Sonos (in case you’re using an older cable), and plugged in firmly.
Also make sure TV Autoplay is enabled under the Amp’s settings in the Sonos app.
