Hi everyoneI have a complete Sonos surround sound system set up but I would like to get a pair of floor stands for my One speakers, which are currently sitting on a table and a bookshelf at two different corners of the room.I’ve been searching online as to which ones to buy and I can see Sonos sell two types. The Sanus floor stands at £99 and then the more expensive One stands at £249, which is quite a jump from the cheaper stands. Then there are even cheaper imitations on various sites, which I don’t think I want to buy.So really my questions is, out of the two official Sonos stands, which one should I buy? Are the more expensive stands really worth the £249 and what makes them stand out (no pun intended 😂) to the Sanus version? If you own a pair of these, which one did you buy and are you pleased with them? Many thanks
I’m having all sorts of connectivity and grouping issues on large varied Sonos system ONLY with Apple Music. Other music services work fine. What’s up? Looks like Sonos not purging previously played Apple Music so occasionally receive error, “system in use elsewhere”. Usually it just plays Apple Music on certain, but not all, grouped speakers.
I just built a new house and my room is 15 feet across and 30 feet in length, with a 9 foot ceiling. What is the ideal distance to place a pair of Era 300's behind a couch for the ultimate surround sound experience. I will have a 77 inch flat screen mounted to the wall on one end of the room with an Arc soundar under the screen. My couch will be placed 10 feet in front of the TV wall, and I will have a Third Gen sub woofer in the front right corner of the room? I have 20 feet to work with behind me, and I’m wondering what the ideal distance would be for placing the two Era 300’s?I have come across a lot of posts from people who have the back of their couches pressed against a wall, but I haven’t come across anything addressing the kind of space I am working with for rear speakers, and more specifically, a pair of Era 300’s as rear speakers. I would love some advice, as I have a lot of flexibility. I will be using Sonos speaker stands, unless someone convinces me to go with wall mounts,
Hi, losing the will with the reliability of my sonos system. I run a split system with newer s2 compatible products and then 2 old Gen 1 play 5s on the s1 as a separate network. All was well till about a month ago when the play 5s just stopped working. I have tried everything rebooting, restarting routers, running it wired and unwired. When I do a complete restart, delete and reboot the app, reset the speaker and do a new set up, the app recognises the speaker and the network initially, it creates the Sonos wifi network temporarily but when you then need to select the wifi network again that’s where it stops. I have a split band 2.4 and 5ghz router and am selecting the 2.4 as I know Gen 1 is incompatible with 5 ghz. As I work long hours attempting to call Sonos with their opening hours (no eves and weekends) is difficult. Please help??!
Hi Sony managed finally to convert it's tempest 3d audio sound to the most used current format dolby atmos. Did you experience it? Do you think it's a great atmos experience?I am using an arc with a sub and two symfonisk bookshelfs. I tested it with the game A plague tale requiem. I definitely could hear sound coming from the roof and generally a more spatial sound. Its more difficult to notice where the sound is exactly coming from and the overall experience is much more immersiveI am curious to know your feedback
Daar Sonos user, Please try to explain, in simple manner, how to use Sonos S1 system and Sonos S2 system, at the same time, for different speakers, in one house Thanks, Bertus
Can I use ray with a play 3?
A few times our internet has gone down. We use sonosnet between five speakers - one wired via Ethernet and the other speakers daisy chained. is there a way to setup a backup internet with a hotspot through my cell phone? I’d need to easily toggle between the hotspot and our Ethernet using sonosnet (when the internet starts working again). my preference is the Ethernet but the hotspot usage would be a backup.
Hello All,I have an Arc/One SL/Sub surround sound in my living room, a One SL in the dining room, and a Move in the kitchen to cover my main floor. When I try to group the speakers on that floor with the surround sound being the source (connected to a Vizio TV with the actual source being an Apple TV), the dining room plays fine, but the Move in the kitchen is glitchy if it plays at all. It does get better if i change the delay on the surround, but then the dining room, which was playing fine before, is obviously out of sync with the living room, and I can’t just blast the music if the delay is increased. I did some reading in the forum and it sounds like the Move just isn’t built to handle grouping well. I was wondering if there was any improvement with the Move 2? I like the Move in the kitchen because I can grab it and take it to the deck outside the kitchen, but I’m still limited to starting music directly to it. Anybody know if grouping is better on a Move 2?
Tomorrow my Sonos Amp will reach me so I was wondering what you guys think about the following setup and what I might be able to optimize..Lg oled TV hdmi Arc ( not e-arc)Hdmi goes to ArcSonos Amp 1.5mm audio cable 2 meters and 5 meters.2x B&W 704 Nautilus speakers (had to bridge low and high frequencies by wire (black to black, red to red) as the plates are missing) so speakers are expecting regular audio connection.Fancy Banana plugs with gold in it or something. Will connect directly to Sonos Amp as front speakers. On the other side of the room 1x Sonos One and 1x Sonos One SL for surround. I need the B&W's for superb classical music (mostly pure piano) and I need all the rest for surround for superb Sonos experience. What will this setup do in terms of surround? What do you guys think which setup is best?Any other tips and tricks?Very much appreciated!
Hi all,I am renovating a old house of >100 years and I am thinking about the audio set-up.I would like to have a nice audio system in the kitchen - Dining room - Sun room which will be an open space in which we will spend a lot of time. The dining room ceiling cannot be modified but their will be dropped ceilings in kitchen and sun room.I was thinking about putting pairs of Sonance in-ceiling in kitchen and sun room and a pair of In-wall in the dining room. Maybe later adding a Sub somewhere in the space if I feel the need (and have the budget….).This is a rather expensive set-up, probably with 2 Amp (one for the 4 in-ceilings and one for the in-walls) so I want to make it right. What do you think and do you have any better suggestions?Thank you!!
era 300 getting warm on the front! They are ok when not running. But when running their get warm. Is it something to worry about?
Merci d’avance.
Ok I’m transitioning to the Sonos world from Apple. Saw the Move 1 on sale at Costco for $299. Seems like a great price $150 less than a Move 2. I bought two for a stereo setup. I’m a big fan of Peter Pee on Youtube and he has me convinced the Sonos Five is probably the best choice. As far as I can tell the current gen 3 has been out for about 3 years and it looks like Sonos introduces a new version about every 5 yrs. The question is whether Sonos Fives will go on Black Friday sales or any sale price before the end of the year.
With the new update in PlayStation 5, we can use Dolby Atmos, but if I activate it, sometimes I hear a loud pop. Are you thinking of a quick solution to this issue? My setup is Sonos ARC, Sonos Sub Gen 2, and two Sonos SL as surround sounds. My TV is a 65” LG C2
Recently got the Arc after many months of waiting. I needed the white so when it goes up on my mantle it blends in with all the painted mantle and wood work behind it. Opening the box I found that it has a black power cord!?!?Most people that order white are doing it to blend in to a brighter/lighter background, so a white power cord makes complete sense. All of my Sonos Play 1 and Ones have white as does my white Sonos Bass. Now I have to buy a white power cord, and haven’t been able to setup my Arc that I’ve been waiting to buy for so many months…
The Flic Twist can now be pre-ordered!It supports Sonos control via a hub and can control volume via a rotating dial and a push button for play/pause so should make a nice little controller. 12 additional controls can be added by pushing and twisting the unit so I guess you could add skip/forward/etc there.https://www.t3.com/news/you-can-now-preorder-the-flic-twist-smart-home-button-and-its-on-saleAvailable here, the homepage has links to some bundles with the hubhttps://flic.io/
I recently ordered several pieces of Sonos equipment including 2 black ERA 100 speakers. I received 1 black speaker and 1 white speaker. When I contacted Sonos Customer Service to package up the white speaker, drive it to a UPS center and ship it back to Sonos. After they receive it, they will send me the correct colored speaker. Really???? First of all I don’t live anywhere near a UPS return center and second…..why am I being inconvenienced by their mistake. Can someone please help me with this issue?? I have just bought a new tv with Dolby atmos so I am going to upgrade my beam gen 1 to a gen 2. My current beam cables (hdmi and power) are sunk in the wall Will these be ok with the new beam particularly Will the older hdmi be ok with Dolby atmos sound?Secondly I have a spare play 1 so was thinking of getting another refurbished play 1 to set up a surround sound system. Again with using the older play 1’s will this be detrimental to the atmos experience? Cheers in advance for an advice
When I adjust the volume on my Samsung TV, I get a loud buzzing through the Playbar for a few seconds, which then prompts the TV's Soundcare pop-up. How do I fix this?
Hi all - I have a number of Sonos speakers ; era 100, era 300 and move 2 . The era 300 are in pairs and also singularly . I use an iPhone 12 Pro Max . in all the settings for all the speakers , I’m finding the quick trueplay option to sound “cleaner” in lots of ways . The most obvious thing seems to be the treble response which is more muted when using the detailed trueplay option . Clearly one possibility is that the iPhone isn’t doing the job properly .. but that the only possibility ? Thanks 👍🏻
I can’t seem to locate where to disconnect some speakers that were added to a system and set them back up on a new system
I am unable to skip tracks on my Sonos Move1. I can pause a track, adjust the volume up/down, but I haven’t figured out how to skip a track. A link to a video showing how to do this would be helpful.
I have a Sonos system in one house but will be setting up a new system in a second house. Can I use the same app?
