If I add a move speaker to an existing system where the other speakers don't have Bluetooth, can you play Bluetooth on all speakers as long as the one being used primarily is the move?

I already own a Move and love it, bought new place and will need more sounds on the outside.  My current Move “lives” in my garage for work out musics, but pull it outback when I have guests.  For the new speaker I am planning on the speaker "living" in the kitchen but when guest come over pulling out with my old move for music outside.  Here is my dilemma, I am interested in the new Move 2 however, will it sound funny or noticeably different than my Move 1 when they are both being used as outdoor speakers while entertaining?  Or am I just being overly critical?  Thank you for your help in advance, Side note, would bonded Move 1’s sound better than Move 1 and Move 2 playing “grouped”

Hi,I am looking to get clearity on the Sonos APP and quality of stream. Current Setup: I have Sonos Arc, the Sub, and Sonos Arc, added to this I have also setup Sonos App.Laptop - Macbook Air M2,Mobile: iPhone 13 Max Pro / iPadDesktop: Windows 11 - connected to wired network via Ethernet (wired).I subscribe to: Tidal, Bandcamp With both Bandcamp and tidal i have the option to go high-res so i had following question: Does the Sonos App support Hi-res qualitry stream from both Tidal and or Bandcamp? 

I have Apple TV (3rd gen) HD connected to Epson 4k LS11000 projector via 30 ft long hdmi fiber cable (24Gbps). Another 30 ft cable connected from projector eARC out to Sonos ARC. There is a Sonos Sub and 2 Era 100 surround sound speakers also connected. All good. However, playing any Dolby Atmos and Dolby Digital 5.1 is having issues. Video plays smoothly but the sound is skipping to the extent that it is absent for multiple seconds. Playing Atmos sound also skips with Xbox as input source.Is it possible that 24Gbps is lower bandwidth and I should try 48 Gbps instead ?I would really like this to be fixed. Would appreciate if anyone have had similar experience and was able to resolve it.

I have a new Beam (Gen 2) and two Play:1 speakers. All have been upgraded to the S2 platform.The Play:1 speakers work fine individually, in a stereo pair, and when grouped with the Beam.But, when I configure the Play:1 speakers as surrounds for the Beam, no sound comes from one of the Play:1’s. (Left Rear). The Beam and Play:1 Right Rear work. The light is solid white on top of all speakers. When adding the surrounds, both Play:1’s play the test tone.The problem occurs for all audio sources: TV input (optical + HDMI), Pandora, Music Library, Sonos Radio.I have removed the Play:1 surrounds three times and re-added them - after testing they work independently. Strange situation (case *******). I have a Sonos One, a One SL, a Move and a Move 2. All worked fine for the past several months. The other day, only the One was playing music. The other speakers are showing up in the system with a strong WIFI signal, and they show that they are playing (on the app the little volume bars bounce with the music), but no sound. I can pause the music from any of the speakers, so I don’t see a connection issue but this just happened out of the blue - no network changes or updates. I went through all the standard reboots (router, etc) and then did a factory reset on each speaker multiple times. At one point the Move 2 miraculously started playing, but once I paused the music there was nothing more from it. I spent hours working on this, and it’s killing me that I have a few thousand dollars of speakers that don’t work. I had over an hour of tech support with Sonos, but no success. I eventually had to drop the call to do actual work. Anyone else had this situ

Hi,In my room I have an Arc and 2 one for surround. I would like to hide wires and wonder about the best of those configurations: arc + amp and 2 inceiling such as focal icw (about 1300 euros) arc + 2 era 300 with wallmount on the ceiling (about 1000 euros) which configuration would be the best? here is a picture of my installation thanks !

I have just bought 2 A80k Sony TVs (XR-65A80K and XR55A80K). Both are set up in identical fashion with Apple TV input to HDMI 1 and an optical cable to the Playbase/beam. The Apple TV remote and the Sony remote both change volume when the Sonos is not connected, and when the Sonos is connected, the volume indicator shows as going up or down with the remotes, but no change in volume on the Sonos. We do not use the TVs for channels. We only watch content through the Apple TV.It is as though the volume settings on the tv are not being recognised by the Sonos equipment. Very frustrating to see the volume indicator moving, but no change in volume. The Sonos app changes the volume fine. The Apple Remote is no longer recognised by the Sonos, and the Sony remote is Bluetooth. So the question is does anyone have an idea how to make this work. I have tried resetting the remote (input/down for 5 secs), tried resetting the TV and setting up from scratch, and tried setting up the Sonos from scratch

Not sure if this counts as advanced or not, but… I am in the process of sorting out my semi-finished basement (needs paint, and flooring basically), but I have the 40% code so want to get my Sonos before that expires. In the diagram below, the “x” = posts. We are going to have the TV either on the wall where it says “TV” with the back of the sofa against the posts, OR the right hand wall (perpendicular to where it says “TV”) and then the sofa would be perpendicular to the posts.  I have a sub, and want to add an Arc and probably era 300s. This space would be for watching movings/tv/sports with the family, but also something of an entertaining space with the bar. For example a potential use is that we host a Super Bowl party of have people over for some other event, which would see people sat at, or around the bar as well as on the sofa, etc. So… my questionsDoes having surrounds placed only around the sofa/seating area, mean sound around the bar would be poor?  Would they be better pla

I was listening to a Vergecast podcast recently and there was an Era 300 ad included. It claimed it has a “3.5mm port you can plug anything into”. I don’t own an Era but I’m pretty sure it doesn’t have a 3.5mm jack.

Sonos sound drops out when routing various music services via a Sonos Connect device (S1)My Sonos system is version S1 and comprises: Controller, Connect, and Play 5.Connections: Play 5 is a wired connection to Virgin Media router. Connect has a wireless connection to my home network and has a wired connection to my audio amplifier. My network has a Virgin Media Wi Fi Pod to improve network performance.What I know …..I previously had difficulties accessing the Sonos Controller in our main living area and this has been resolved by adding a Virgin Media Wi Fi Pod to strengthen the network signal (now showing 28 Mbps download speed).However, the audio feed through the Sonos Connect device is falling out at regular intervals (it’s off more than it’s on). I just switched from my old vinyl setup of Turntable + Integra DTM 5.3 receiver + Port to Turntable + Amp.I didn’t realize I would need a phono preamp in order to use to my 1970s turntable, which used to hook up to the Integra’s phono input. I thought the Amp had a built-in phono stage, whoops ¯\_(ツ)_/¯. I’d like to stick with this new Amp setup, but I’m not sure which phono preamp to get. Since I wasn’t anticipating having to buy a preamp in the first place, I’d like to keep my costs somewhat low, $200 or less if possible.I’ve heard good things about the Schiit Mani 2 and Ifi Zen Phono, and that’s basically it. Wouldn’t mind buying the $65 one from Turntable Lab either, but I assume it’s nothing special. Does anyone have any recommendations within my price range ($0-200) that would sound good with the Amp?Honestly if it could sound just as good as my previous setup I’d be perfectly happy. Thinking about picking up an arc, but I am seeing reviews that it’s not producing deep base without a standalone sub. Currently have playbase without sub, and quite happy with my setup. However wanted to get in the atmos bandwagon since I will be getting 2 era 300 as well. So what’s the verdict from the community?

Hello,Since 16.5 update we can no more control the volume or skip using the iPhone hardware button or the Lock Screen buttons.I’m aware that it’s an Apple limitation. Why Sonos do not propose some control center button for basic features (volume +/-, skip, pause/play).It would be very effective for user experience.  

Hi there. I just bought a Sonos Beam Gen 2 soundbar, and made some changes in the settings for a better experience when watching movies and tv series. Although Im enjoying the sound, it’s not so good to listen music with the settings I have now. This weekend Im going to buy a pair of Sonos ONE SL to add the surround. My question, it is possible to listen the music only in the pair of SONOS ONE SL?And using the pair and sonos beam gen only for movies/series. 

It is possible the put the Sonos arc behind the tv. The reason is that the Sonos arc will hide the bottom of the screen. thanks

Can I buy a black Arc and a White Sub Woofer or do I have to the same color?

Looks like the previous thread got closed - but the problem is still here  I have 3 Roams and 2 of them went bad before 2 years - the 3rd is still ok but not quite a year old yet.Sonos needs to step up on this - all I want is for them to replace the batteries or send me new ones & instructions how to replace. My 1st call to support ended in the tech telling me they would either send new batteries or replace the untis - they did neither. I have been a loyal Bose user for 30 years and made the switch to Sonos slowly 2 years ago & started buying new Sonos speakers - I am wondering if I made the correct choice - clearly Sonos is not supporting the Roam product.

I am sure similar issues have been answered but I would like to throw a line out anyway.I am currently traveling and have someone staying at my place where I have a Sonos home theatre system installed. Yesterday I was playing music on my Sonos roam I travel with through the Spotify app on my phone and noticed that the music kept stopping randomly (I was using Bluetooth).During the same period, I got a message from the person staying at my place saying that the Sonos System keeps stopping and skipping ant random intervals. They were playing from their own source and not using Spotify from within the Sonos app.Due to the timing of both these isolated issues, I ask myself: “Is this coincidental or is there more to this?”Could it be Spotify somehow causing the issue?Is it interference? Am I going crazy?help.   

Hi all,I currently have two ONEs in the lounge (stereo pair, on Sanus stands) and two Symfonisk Bookshelf speakers in the kitchen (stereo pair).I am looking to buy a Beam Gen 2 for the lounge. I am thinking of bringing the Symfonisk speakers into the lounge and placing them on stands behind the sofa on either side with TV straight ahead and keeping the ONEs where they are at either side of the TV in the far corners. For TV, I would like to use the Beam as main speaker(s) and Symfonisks for Rear Surrounds. I don't think I can also add the ONEs as extra speakers for TV in this set up?For Music, I would like to use the Beam, together with the ONEs (as a stereo pair) and IF POSSIBLE, also the Symfonisks. Would the latter best be achieved by changing the setting to Full Audio (not ambient)? Also, assuming I can do all of that, am I going to notice a big improvement when playing music to all these speakers, compared to what I'm used to, ie, playing on just the ONEs as a stereo pair? Already have 2 Sonos subs (Think Gen2) hooked up in two separate rooms, can I add a 3rd Sonos sub to the system (ideally new Gen 3 sub)?  Want to do another another room with Arc and Sub, but can’t find anything that says this is possible or not possible.  Want to avoid the amp and 3rd party sub if possible.  Thanks

I’m used to using streaming music to bluetooth speakers. You go out of range and the music stops - I get it.Today I was using the Sonos App to stream tunes to my pair of Sonos One’s. I had to go out and I figured that the music would stop and the speakers would go into standby as I would be out of range. But no, I came back home and the speakers were still playing music… huh?Explain to me like I’m 5 please.Thanks!
