I’m listening to the 1989 (Taylor’s Version) album that came out today and something is wrong with the mix, but only on my Sonos system (Arc+sub+2 300s). I’m using Apple Music. During the chorus, when she sings “Wildest Dreams uh uh huh,” the “uh uh huh” part raises the volume of the soundbar and is jarring. I thought this could just be the mix, but I played the same track using the same source through my Airpod pro 2nd gen and the same jarring volume bump doesn’t occur. Why is this happening? It’s difficult to listen to, and also gives me pause that Sonos isn’t properly interpreting the mix.If you want to hear what I’m hearing, go to around 1:04 on Wildest Dreams (TV) on an Atmos Sonos.
hi all, we have sonos ecosystem currently and looking to add some more. i’m looking to setup a beam and 2 era 100s in our living room as a home theater setting, but id also like to add one or two of our One speakers to the beam and eras for music only around the house. Is this possible? do i need to create separate “rooms” for music and for home theater? or some other way to set this up? ideally i’d like the whole house to be able to play music as a room, but then toggle (or automatically switch) the home theater speakers for TV viewing. I cant find anything in the forums about setting up multiples with the same speakers.
Does anyone know if I need to use the new app for the Move 2? We have some older Sonos speakers upstairs that we’d want to pair with this, but they won’t work on the v2 of the app.
Hello, first of all sorry for my bad English. I have the following problem, my play 5 gen1 only outputs sound over sub and high. Midrange is dead. I'm already disassembling the play5. You can't see faults with the eye. Which components are responsible for the center? I would be very grateful for tips.
Hi Sonos Community! My wife and I have bought a barn conversion off plan and I’m starting to think where to put plugs and wiring for speakers etc.The main living space is around 8.5x8.5m, the ceiling height in the middle is 8m!The existing timber frame is still there, around 3m up from the ground so was thinking of mounting the Sonos on these? There is a mezzanine area where we’re going to have our TV. I’m trying to figure out what to do in the main space which has kitchen, dining table and living space (sofa and woodburner)Do I try and just fill the room with 4x 1s or Era 100s?Or should I do more strategic placement based on the 3 ‘zones’?Maybe just a pair of fives either side of the kitchen projecting into the whole space?Thoughts please!
Hi 👋 Sorry if this has been asked before, I have searched but couldn’t find anything listing compatible soundbars for the new Sonos five. Has anyone got a list of what soundbars are compatible with two Sonos Fives please? Many thanks
Hi, I'm hoping for some advice on upgrading my system. I know some of these questions have been asked before, so I apologise if they seem basic. I've had a search through and read many posts but couldn't find exactly what I am looking for.I currently have two ONEs in the lounge (stereo pair, on Sanus stands) and two Symfonisk Bookshelf speakers in the kitchen (stereo pair).I am looking to buy a Beam Gen 2 for the lounge. I am thinking of bringing the Symfonisk speakers into the lounge and placing them on stands behind the sofa on either side with TV straight ahead and keeping the ONEs where they are at either side of the TV in the far corners. For TV, I would like to use the Beam as main speaker(s) and Symfonisks for Rear Surrounds. I don't think I can add the ONEs as extra speakers for TV in this set up and that's ok if that's the case (but would be nice). For Music, I would like to use the Beam, together with the ONEs (as a stereo pair) and IF POSSIBLE, also the Symfonisks. Would the
I’ve just recieved the latest syatem update on my Sonos Beam Gen 2 and Sub Mini. what does the update fix/improve please? Will it fix a problem Ive had with my TV switching back to TV speakers from the Beam and needing a power cycle to reconnect.
Hello! I have a very good hifi audio system that I would like to make work with my Sonos speakers in other rooms. I want to be able to walk through my house and hear music seamlessly with no delays. With my Sonos speakers in different places, all works great. How do I incorporate my existing stereo system into my Sonos system? Port? Amp?
Brand new Sonos move and I can’t get it to work at all it’s getting very tiresome to use the Sonos system. I have so many components of my system I am not prepared to lose by upgrading to sonos 2 appthis new speaker won’t downgrade and there for me - $659 I can’t use
I'll be moving into a new condo. My current thought is that the 2nd bedroom will have my audiophile setup and I'll want a port for there. The living room will have a 50” ish tv and I'll want some speakers and sub for it. Finally, for the main bedroom and deck I could use a pair of potable speakers. Maybe I'd use them in the kitchen too. I'm not too concerned about audio quality for tv purposes but I like the idea of that audio being good for music. I'm not sure of how the audio at the tv would extend to the kitchen. I'm looking for suggestions for the tv audio and pair of portable speakers.
Hey Community,I currently have a bunch of alexa speakers all over my house, the sound isn’t great but I love that I can connect speakers and play music throughout my entire house. I want to upgrade, looking at sonos. I’m looking at the ultimate immersive set with Arc (includes Arc, sub gen 3, (2) era 300’s). I’d like to be able to connect additional speakers to that for when I play music, thinking 4 additional ERA 300’s and 2 Move 2’s. Anyone know if I can play music simultaneously on all of those devices?
The Sonos app suddenly not working with the iOS lock screen control and volume button anymore, suspect it happen after the Sonos iOS app updates. So far I had tried:Restart the iPhone and make sure the iOS and Sonos App having latest version Reset Sonos app Reset + uninstall + reinstall app Off and on Sonos ERA300 and do the above Research all possible solutions from Google but nothing helps yet :( All of this not working, my app version is 15.6 build 74043110 with iPhone 14 Pro iOS 16.6. Is anyone facing the same issue or this is a known software bug?
I have had my Port for a couple of months, and it has worked flawlessly. Up until this morning, when only a white noise is streaming on the coaxial. It disappears if I change from pass-through to variable, and lower the volume to around 30, or lower. However, I want to use the pass-through or fixed at 100. How can this be resolved?
Hello,I've reviewed a lot of other threads but can't find a similar problem. My setup: Old Sony TV (no e-arc)PS5 (primary media device)Sonos Arc + 2x Play 1 as surrounds I recently introduced an HDMI switch with a Toslink extractor to resolve audio syncing. Toslink out to toslink/HDMI adapter to Sonos Arc and HDMI out to TV to bypass TV audio processing entirely. First oddity: it all works well and I can get Dolby Digital 5.1 and full surround audio on the PS5 interface and any gaming, but when streaming Disney+ or Netflix, there's no sound coming from the rear speakers at all, despite the app showing 5.1 while this content is playing. Second oddity: a second input device is a GoogleTV and in this configuration it's outputting everything in full Dolby Atmos, which is great! Definitely not complaining, but out of curiosity, how is this happening over toslink? Any help is appreciated!
So I've got a Synology NAS and a couple of Sonos speakers. Some day I got the stupid (!) idea to switch SMBv1 off and soon I found out that my Sonos stuff was unable to find my local music library. Of course I agree that Sonos should move to v2 or v3, but since there is no sign they will, even after the whole S2 operation, it seems we will have to solve this ourselves. I’ve seen the Raspberry pi solution here on the forum, but I didn’t want separate devices and I thought it should be possible to do the same with docker on the NAS itself. If you are not familiar with Docker yet: it is like running an extra machine (called “container”) on your NAS, a little bit like virtual machines, but easier and more lightweight. The container runs isolated on your NAS, it only gets the access to your NAS you grant it specifically. Docker is a standard package on Synology. It also has a nice “registry”: an app store where everyone can share their containers. So the idea is: run a container with SMB (S
I want to connect Frame TV to AMP? I believe the only external input for AMP is analog RCA jacks. What is best way to connect Frame TV audio out via fiber to RCA jacks? The only cables I have between components are 1-coax and 1-Ethernet, no fiber our audio cables. Would using ARC HDMI port make it easier?
Hi all I tried to connect my Deezer account to my sonos account (through the app)the app is asking whether I have an account : Yesthen there is an error message saying there is an error with the authorization of my account - check your internet connectionhope one of you as the solutionmany thanksJulien
I had the Sanus stands for the 300's, but after getting new sofas, they were tk short for the taller furniture. I ordered two Sonos OEM Era 300 Stands. I have contacted support about the following issue and they asked me for and order number, which I have sent to them twice and no response. Where the support shaft (long shaft that goes from the base to the top support bracket) have about a 1/2" of play where the shaft cam be rotated back and forth ok the floor base. Is this normal for these stands or did I by blind luck get two stands with the same issue? Thanks in advance for any info
I’m trying to automate Spotify playing music on my Sonos speakers when I scan a NFC tag.I thought I could use Tasker to automate the necessary API calls...However, Sonos only supports the OAuth flow “Authorization code”, which makes it impossible to automate the task, since I have to show a webpage to the user for that to work.Is it possible to authenticate in any non-interactive way (Client credentials) or can I automate the Sonos app somehow? (e.g. Android intent?)
I have factory reset my Sonos devices & can't seem to get them to connect to the new router, the app can see them but can't seem to connect to the wifi & it's driving me nuts, the system is about 6 years old & hasn't been used as a surround sound set up in some time but really want it going asap, any help would be greatly appreciated. Cheers
My set up includes a Beam gen2, Sub gen3 and 2 One’s. When attempting to play a movie on a streaming service, Netflix, Disney Plus, there is no sound from the surround speakers. But when watching network tv, the surround speakers work. In both instances, under the Beam, its showing Dolby 5.1. Please help
Hi, I use Tidal in iOS and want to stream it to my Sonos gear by using the “Tidal Connect” protocol.I know I can stream Tidal to my Sonos Port by using Airplay or Sonos Connect. I know I can use the Sonos app to select Tidal as a music service. My question is about the streaming protocal “Tidal Connect” (https://tidal.com/connect), already added by many high-level streamign boxes.“Tidal Connect” shows in Tidal app like this: “Sonos Connect” shows un Tidal app like this: Are there plans by Sonos to add support for “Tidal Connect” streaming protocol on their products? “Tidal Connect” opens the box to stream high quality audio, and all main competitors of Sonos have added it since long time. Thanks, Toni
