It supports Sonos control via a hub and can control volume via a rotating dial and a push button for play/pause so should make a nice little controller. 12 additional controls can be added by pushing and twisting the unit so I guess you could add skip/forward/etc there.

I have the Flic twist. Works with Sonos for volume, and simple stop start. Looking at the Push and twist functions to see what else can be done.
Having waited 3 years I am very underwhelmed with the quality of the product, nowhere near the quality of the similar functioning Scenic Nuimo.
One issue with the Flic and Nuimo is teh volume level.
Both these products store a volume level within their system. So they resume for the last volume they were used at. That means if you’ve been listening at a high volume, set using the Twist, then subsequently lower the volume via any other method, the next touch of the Twist starts at the last Volume level the Twist was set at. This quickly becomes irritating!

I had good usage out of four iPort xPress keypads back in the day but they were hard to configure (on iOS only) and also ended up discontinued/unsupported. Like so many of these start-ups’ products they were also expensive, presumably to recover substantial NRE.
I’m afraid I’ve had to conclude that such concepts, though ostensibly clever, aren’t as dependable and cost-effective as a solution from one of the major players.
Flic has cool features to create scenes with a bush of a button, i.e. dim the lights, set the Sonos volume to 15, play Jazz playlist from Spotify (haven't figured out how to make it serve me a glass of wine, ha!).
I can do all that stuff with Hubitat (home automation box) and cheap buttons. You can program Sonos via Hubitat too, I have some £18 Hue Dimmers controlling play/pause/volume. The downside is Hubitat cannot control the volume smoothly (yet!) eg you have to keep pressing the button to raise volume. If I use a Hue dial I have to turn/stop/turn/stop/etc to raise/lower, kind of tedious hence why I wanted this solution.
It looks like the latest IKEA sound remote is based on buttons, unlike the older rotary control. Hopefully one can press-and-hold for continuous volume adjustment.
Well I bought the IKEA sound remote 2, but not a hub!
IKEA have fixed all their devices to play well with home automation hubs so I have it hooked up to Hubitat. It works perfectly, even press and hold for volume.
I just wish they made a black version!
