Beam Gen 1 compatibility

I have a Gen 1 Beam.  It won't play as the system tells me it is incompatible.   It is still in great condition but I can't get it to register in my system settings.  How do I fix?

What app are you using? The white one (S1) or the brown one (S2)?

Is this your only Sonos equipment? If not, what else do you have?
