The S1 app which is used for the old Play 5 gen 1 says "unable to connect to Sonos". I think it's to do with the TP link deco M5 mesh system I installed recently. I can reconnect by switching the router off and on, but it never lasts and the next time I open the app the speaker is gone again. If someone could help in step by step idiot proof terms I'd be eternally grateful. TIA
HelloTell me where to find the technical specifications of the speakers? descriptions of what kind of speakers they are, how much power they have, what hertz, I can’t find anything on the Internet except marketing informationinteresting : sub gen 3 and arc
Hello,The highlighted area has a hollowed out grill covering, and I am looking for which speaker to install behind it. They would be used for a Samsung frame TV. No audiophile requirements, just acceptable sound quality. So far I am thinking either double Five speakers, or double built-in wall/ceiling speakers. The problem with the latter is that I would either need to rotate the wall speaker 90 degrees to fit, or install the ceiling speakers that don’t face downward. I considered a soundbar but the consensus seems to be they shouldn’t be placed high up. I would prefer to leave the are below the TV empty. Thankful for any advice or thoughts!
Have a ledge in great room wall that is about 8 ft from floor. I can place Sonos speakers on this ledge or install in wall sonance speakers connected to a Sonos amp at this same height. The electrical is no problem for either solution as is running speaker wire for the in wall speakers. My question is which speakers (2) will sound the best? I know with the in wall speakers I can paint the grates and they will disappear, but will they sound as good as a pair of Era 300’s? Will the Era 300 work well at that height? Or are they better down lower? Moderator edit: changed “Euro” to “Era”
I have a Sony TV, Sonos Beam and BT TV Box Pro. Generally all works well. However, if I set the TV Box to output surround sound, the lip sync problem is so great that it is unwatchable. I imagine that that is because the TV Box is not processing the sound fast enough so that there is nothing to be done. However, if anyone with a similar set up has found a solution, I would be interested to hear it.
Upgrade my parents to a new TV and Sonos Beam. They have Apple TV and Direc Tv. What’s the easiest way to set these up so they can use the sonos for both? Appreciate the assistance
I have a Play 5 Gen 2 and was hoping to add a new Five to form a stereo pair. I have just discovered this is not possible and I have to either buy two Five's to achieve this or find myself a second hand Play 5 Gen 2 to marry up with my existing.I'm now considering other options such as a pair of One's SL (still available) with a mini sub. Has anyone any experience regarding the sound quality of this setup compared to a pair of Fives? Also looking at a pair of Era 100 with or without the mini sub. Anyone got any thoughts?
Sonos Playbar cutting in & out intermittently when playing music if the audio optical cable is connected to Sony XBR-75X950H TV and the TV is turned off. If I unplug the optical cable from the Sony TV (TV power is off) the playbar does not cut out and plays continuously with no problem. The playbar does not cutout when the TV is on and audio optical cable is connected with the TV sound coming through the playbar (surround sound).
I’ve been a SONOS customer for around a decade and I’m considering moving to something else….WHY? I don’t understand the app I don’t know how to launch anything I’m always confused I get lost in the menus and options Search doesn’t work wellI am probably a complete idiot, but I have difficulty navigating the new app...eventually, i get something to play, but I don’t really know how it happens. I hunt and peck around and eventually, I get something to play. Granted my home system is 10 Sonos Amps and architectural speakers - it is complicated. But you almost need to stupify this down to a google search window that you can type in “Please, for the love of GOD, play Taylor Swift in my daugter’s room so she will start her homework. I don’t care if you use Pandora or Tune-In or YouTube or Apple Music or any other source, but please please please start playing Taylor so i don’t have to try to navigate this darn app for another 5 frustrating minutes!!!” - I guess voice control might solve
HiI currently have a Playbar, Play:5 (Gen 2) stereo pair and Sub (Gen 2) in my TV room plus a single Play: 3 in my study. I am wanting to add speakers to my kitchen dining room which is medium size. Can I add a second stereo pair of Play:5 (Gen 2) to my system and should I get a second sub? The music quality is more important to me than the TV and movies, hence I don’t think moving the speakers to the kitchen diner and updating the TV room to Arc plus compatible speakers. I don’t watch action type movies, more Romcoms so I think the Atmos might be wasted on me. Happy to be corrected on this though 😊
So I just set up the Sonos Arc soundbar that supports eARC. It works with my 2020 65" Frame TV until I change the eARC setting on the Frame TV to Auto. The sound mutes and I can't get it to play until I turn eARC off. Anyone else have this issue? I’ve messed around with this for a few hours to no avail.
Hello! this is a two part question(1) I am looking to install an Arc + Sub Gen 3 + In Ceiling Speakers (+ amp), but I am uncertain how many in ceiling speakers would be sufficient for my living room. The room size is 24”x13” (322 sqft or 30 sqm). Would you suggest 2 or 4 speakers for this size room? (2) I spoke to someone on the phone at Sonos and they said that given this set up, the in ceiling speakers could not be used as “true surrounds”. He said they will produce sound but cant be set as dedicated surrounds and would only play the normal left and right as the tv would. However, everything i have read online suggests that he might be incorrect. Can anyone confirm if there is an option to set the in ceiling speakers as dedicated surrounds in the Arc + Sub Gen 3 + In Ceiling speaker set up? Thank you for your help!Joe
I have a ton of playlists I wanted to share the lists with a couple buddies (just the lists not the actual music) SonoSaver (search for it on the web) does the job.I can save each Playlist as a CSV, convert then to Excel, clean up and sort to my hearts delight and pass along.
HelloI have a Sonos Amp. I have connected it to my Firestick 4K on my Benq HD Projector via Line Out, and on the Sonos app I have set the audio delay to 75ms. It is working brilliantly, the lip-sync is spot on.However, the two speakers in the room are wall-mounted and are not in the desired location for the projector screen (they are from an old hi-fi). They are good speakers. Moving the speakers to the right location would be very disruptive, I’d have to cut holes in ceiling and walls.So….I am looking to buy a couple of Era 300 or a pair of Five speakers, and using these with my projector instead, pairing them, and using the line-in. This would allow me to place the speakers on stands either side of the projector screen (so in front of and facing the people watching the films). HOWEVER everything I read says this setup isn’t really suited to TV.I’m not using a TV, I’m using a projector, and the room setup means a soundbar isn’t possible (the projector screen drops down in front of a d
Hi guys,We have purchased a ARC and a Song A80L TV and was wondering if we can play the Sony featured inbuilt speakers Sony highly rate along with the ARC by using the HDMI(ARC) input? any advice would be appreciated Joe
Bonjour,Comment fait-on pour régler le volume avec les boutons physiques d’un iPhone ?Merci
Hello ya’allI ordered two Era 100s as I wanted to add rear surrounds, and I have Arc and Sub gen3 currently.Although for sure it would be ideal to keep the two Era100s all the time, I will have to unplug them while they are not in use and store them away and just use Arc and the sub. As far as I understand, the Era100s will only receive signals for the rear channels if they are set as surrounds, but what will happen to Arc if I unplug Era 100s without unpairing them from Arc and store them away? Will Arc lose sounds that were assigned to Era 100s?Appreciate your advice!
Does anybody know what is the reason for that out of stock?
Hello,I am just going to buy One SL but would like to ask one thing. When I connect the new One SL only using an Ethernet cable to my network, is it necessary to have Bluetooth switched on on my phone, to use Sonos app to control the speaker? In other words - can I only have Wi-Fi switched on on the phone, to connect to my network and control speaker by app this way?Would you take such a test, please? Thanks in advance!
I have a Sonos One and a One SL. I have a compact home theater area (about eight feet wide, twelve feet front to back and floor to ceiling is about eight feet. I am thinking of getting a Beam and Sub Mini with the One and One SL as my rear speakers. Would this work as a home theater setup?
What equipment replaced the Play 1 speakers?
I have five Sonos Ones. I have an open floor plan. Two are in the living room and two in the dining room, so basically one big room. Would adding a Sub to this be value add? Would a Five add value? Thanks!!
Can't seem to get initial set up with bbc sounds completed. The message says it's been set up, but then on Sonos it says there was an error.
Hi, I have a pair of Play 5 speakers that I have connected to our television via line in. I would like to be able to control the volume with the Xfinity remote. Has anyone cracked this? The Xfinity remote code for SONUS does not work.
Hello. I recently moved to a small apartment (45m2) and my current setup is: Arc + sub (gen3) in living room, which is quite small and sofa is against a wall and only little (20-30cm) space by the sides of sofa. I’m still interested to get rears to complete 5.1 setup. I have stereo pair of symfonisks in my bedroom, so I could move them to use as rears. Problem is, I dont want to make holes to wall and Ikea stands are quite ugly imo. Could I place symfonisks on the floor behind the sofa, to the corners? I know, far from ideal but with TruePlay it could be fine for movies? For music that wouldnt be good i guess. I was wondering to get stereo pair of era 100s next to my tv, but then I couldnt connect sub to it because its already in 5.1 setup. Would grouping stereo pair of 100s and 5.1 system sound awkward? I guess stereo pair only sounds great but lack bass…Thank you in advance!
