Can I set up my Sonos ERA100 using two separate phones? One is Android and the othe IOS.

I recently bought my first Sonos equipment and have linked it up to my Sony turntable. So this system will be exclusively used for that and to stream music. It’s set up in a wide open space that’s probably close to 800sq ft with 9’ ceilings (very open floor plan).  so far I have two era 100s and a Five. The Five definitely has noticeably more power than the two 100s. Especially on the low end which I like. So I have a decision to make. Do I purchase another Five and return the 100s? Or return the Five and purchase another pair of 100s to put around the room and then add a sub for the low end? I guess the question is, what would fill the room better? 

Hello EveryoneThere has been conversation regarding the logic of upgrading to the Era 300 or Era 100 speakers.  Below is my opinion as to when an upgrade to the Era Series Speakers may (or may not) be warranted given your current Sonos setup. The following is from an empirical view point and by no means should be considered as a rule of thumb: but more correctly as a guide. Everyone has their own reason(s) as to when, why and/or should an upgrade be considered. My personal reasons are that I like the latest and greatest tech; not just Sonos, but other electronic manufacturers  as well. Regarding Sonos, mine is by design to upgrade and sell the previous model to defer the cost of the new gear and get a decent ROI. Although Sonos products hold their value quite well...timing is also a key factor. People are more apt to buy used (pre-owned) electronics especially when the out-going product is still being sold on the manufacturer’s website and in stores at MSRP.  I might also mention that

Just been helped by Sonos to upgrade to a new Era 300. Received today and tried to add to existing system which is all fairly old products (2x Connect Amps Nd 2x Play 1s). Existing system operates with S1 app but new Era set up says it only works with S2 app. Supposed solution is to have two systems and two apps. Ridiculous - Sonos knew what I had in my system as they helped with the upgrade.  Very disappointed. 

Play different music in different roomsTo play different music on different Sonos speakers, you just need to select what you want each speaker to play and group the speakers you want to play the same music together. Once grouped, you can select what you want each group of speakers, or singular speaker to play.As mentioned above, speakers are accessed by tapping the Systems tab at the bottom of the app. From here you can group them, or ungroup them. this seems to no longer work. i have tried to find a solution on here  but to no avail, any ideas/ solution from anyone would be appreciated 

I have connected my turntable to my Sonos Connect S15 via line-in and can see it recognized in my Sonos app. I do not have any Sonos speakers and want the audio to play on my Alexa echo dots and/or my echo shows via WiFi. I have the Sonos skill enabled in Alexa; however, I am struggling to set up to hear my parents old vinyls. Any help / guidance would be greatly appreciated! Thank you

I have a sonos Era300 which I have been using for Spotify, which is working great as usual. Recenty I also started using Airplay, and found I have quite a delay in audio when using airplay from my Macbook M2. The Macbook is wired to the access point and the Era 300 is placed 2 meters from the access point.I am using a google Wifi Pro setup, with all 3 access points wired to the main one. When i check the Sonos app and the Google home app, both are reporting that the Era300 is using 5GHz.Question 1Is Era300 not capable of using the 6GHz band or am I mistaken by my lack of knowledge about wifi 6e? If so, is there anything I can do to make it use this band? Question 2If it is even possible to get it running on 6GHz, would that possibly solve my issue, or is the delay just a normal artifact of using Airplay?Let me know if more information is needed.Thanks in advance.

I just added Beam Gen 2 and gen 3 Sub to my basement mancave. Looking to add just a little more complete sound....any recommendations 

I’ve acquired a Sonos ARC and Sub, but since I don’t have a iOS device, I was waiting for a acquaintance with an iPhone Xs to come by to help me calibrate it using TRUEPLAY. After installing the Sonos app (not Sonos S1 … by the way its very confusing reading Sonos website refering to Sonos S2 when it is not call that), going to Settings > System, and selecting my only configured room/device there is no “Trueplay” related option in any section. Can someone explain how to get it to appear?

Hello,First of all I apologize if this question has been asked before. I tried to search for the solution but was unable to find the answer.I have two Sonos systems at home:In the Pantry: Beam Gen 2 + Sub Gen 3, connected to a Toshiba TV in the Pantry In the Living Room: Arc + Sub Gen 3, also connected to a Sony TV in Living RoomThings are working fine for both systems. I also have no problem playing same source in both systems.The issue is when I have to select which TV to play/disconnect from any of the system. Since both are connected to a TV, the Sonos App shows the same “TV” as the input names. I keep selecting the wrong TV as the source I want to keep playing because I have no clue which to select.Screenshot of what I’m trying to explain is attached.It would be perfect if I can rename the “TV” to “ TV-Pantry” and “TV-Living Room”.Is that possible?Thanks,Danny

Hii have some old studio monitor and was wandering if sonos have wifi receiver with xlr and/or rca output so i can link my speaker with my sonos system

In iOS14 Apple added a new feature to “Autoplay Similar Tracks” when a playlist or queue is finished.  Its supposed to continue to play similar music to what was on the playlist.  Similar to Create a Station that does work (but is fairly buried in Sonos and Apple), but instead it kicks in at the end of an existing playlist vs. creating an unending playlist from scratch like Create Station does from a selected song. See here https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT208383 Apple show an infinity symbol on the player to control this feature. Its supposed to be somewhat better than create a station as it has the context of the entire preceeding playlist when picking a new song, vs. a single song.

I want to listen to what is playing on my laptop on my Sonos Play1 speaker and I can't.When I bought it the only thing they told me was that it worked over Wi-Fi with an application, but I can't find a way to do it. So far I have only used it to listen to Spotify.Can someone help me?

Hi, I just discovered today that other people on my wifi has been able to look through my playlists and music library’s without even needing to log into my account on the Sonos app- which I’m not too happy about. Is there anyway to fix this? I’m not sure why by default Sonos lets anyone access all the playlists from my music services

I am looking to add some rear speakers to my setup.   I primarily watch TV and at times listen to music.I am trying to decide between the ERA 300 and the Five.    Any recommendations?   I have a Sonos ARC 

I have a playbar connected to sonos boost and play 1s with sub gen 2 in my living room and a play 3 in my bedroom, I just got a Samsung 77sc95 OLED tv and playbar is showing its age now, I'm wondering if the sub gen 3 is necessary or worth it? Or are they functionally same, Would I still have best quality sound from my sub ?  I also have a sonos boost I use I'd rather keep speakers on their own network and not clutter my home. I considered samsung q990c and I use the sub next to my tv wired to the playbar and got no connection issues, But is atmos and all surrounds etc same quality on sub gen 2 as it is on 3? 

I have a number of S1 speakers run from a ZP90 base. The ZP90 has now died and I also know that the ZP90 is now discontinued. I need to get a replacement but I’m not sure what the current best option is. Is there a current compatible replacement? I have no desire to upgrade my speakers etc. I just one my S1s to work again...   Thanks in advance.

Hi everyone :)i have a question.i have sonos boost, Arc with sub gen3 and i upgrade surrounds to ERA100 . Q is:When wizzard add era100 to my system show connect to my 5ghz wifi. I add second era 100 wizard 5ghz to add speaker to 5ghz wifi. After complete wizard app ask for surround pair. I press ok surround done. I check in router sonos era 100 ip´s. Router show era is connected on 2.4ghz wifi. Why? I add era to 5ghz, 2.4 is differend ssid name with prefix 2.4ghz. Sonos era100 on about my system show:WM:3 ERAarc, boost, sub: WM:0 sonos era not support sonos net. But i see arc use special tunel for wifi and comunication with era ? Please help me with speaker positioning. I currently use Beam Gen 2 and Sub mini with my 43” Sony TV. My wife watches TV series and movies daily. I’m more in music, both streaming and vinyl records, from a vintage Thorens TT connected to basic Yamaha speakers. I would like to emphasise more the music reproduction and keep the HT functions. I added a plant of my room. First option:Should I go separating HT and music reproduction, still keeping in Sonos ecosystem, for example adding a pair of Era 100 or 300 connected to the turntable?In this setup, could the HT part be used to reproduce music at the same time (especially the sub mini)?Will this be beneficial giving the fact they will sits in the same room?Could the Eras be in use also when watching TV? Would it make sense? Would be an issue if the speakers will be placed close to the turntable, so both will be on the left side of the TV? Second option:Add a pair of Era 100 as surround, keeping the music reproduction only from streaming o

Hope you're all doing great! So, I've got this big art gallery, and I'm trying to figure out the best audio setup to echo the sound throughout the entire space. I want visitors to feel the vibe of the art, you know? Any recommendations on which Sonos hardware would work best for creating a sweet echo effect that complements the art installations? I have a rack in my laundry room with sonos amp, and it powers 3rd party speakers outside in my gazebo. When I try to connect the Sub to the system, it is pretty unstable, and even when connected - it plays no sound.However if I bring the Sub indoors closer to the laundry room, it works fine.The internet wifi is very strong all around the house and backyard, so it is not struggling for internet.I also have a range extender/router and internet run to the outside gazebo that powers my TV. When I try connecting the ethernet cable to the Sub - still no luck.How can this be? Is the system not supposed to be completely seamless on wifi? And I imagine plugging in the Ethernet as a  backup would work, but no luck!Help!

I’ve had my Sonos for some years now, it would appear that the BOOST is becoming unstable and is cutting off connection for seconds at a time.   I believe that I can remove BOOST from the system and connect one of the SONOS speakers direct to my Hub and then have all the Sonos products link to the wired device.   Is this a fairly simple process??

I am deciding whether to buy  Sonos Sub or Sonos Sub Mini.What are the differences please?
