Advice on TV speakers with unusual placement

Hello,

The highlighted area has a hollowed out grill covering, and I am looking for which speaker to install behind it. They would be used for a Samsung frame TV. No audiophile requirements, just acceptable sound quality.

So far I am thinking either double Five speakers, or double built-in wall/ceiling speakers.  The problem with the latter is that I would either need to rotate the wall speaker 90 degrees to fit, or install the ceiling speakers that don’t face downward. I considered a soundbar but the consensus seems to be they shouldn’t be placed high up. I would prefer to leave the are below the TV empty.

Thankful for any advice or thoughts!

With resect to rotating a rectangular wall mount speaker or using a (typically round) ceiling speaker in the wall, this is mostly aesthetics, but either type should be mounted in a flat, solid surface, not simply plopped behind a grille.

Mounting FIVE’s behind a grill will be against the electrical codes in many areas.

For TV use you really do not want to use a non-TV Sonos or you will get an unavoidable 75 ms audio delay.

In your situation (rejecting an Arc) I’d get a Sonos Amp and your choice of passive bookshelf speakers to go behind your grill.

Get the biggest ones that will fit for the best sound.
