Yes, any Sonos system can have up to 32 speakers.
There are considerations (a slight delay) when playing the TV input on rooms other than the Arc’s, but streamed music not from the TV will be in sync across all speakers.
The Sonos uses WiFi to connect to each other and your router, so the distance depends on your local environment. If you have a good WiFi signal, the Sonos speakers will connect to it.
