Yes, I know Sub Gen4 won’t be out until 2025. I just want to add my 2c that your Sub frequency range needs to go as low as 20Hz to accurately reproduce the audible frequency range of ~ 20Hz to 20KHz. This is the only issue giving me pause about purchasing a Sub gen 3 (which only goes down to 25Hz); well, that and the static issue reported by many in other threads. Also, the next Sub 4 needs to have a standard low-level in port, so I don’t have to add yet more subs taking up space just because I need sub-in ports. Thank you for your consideration.
i'd like to add a sonos zone to my dock - I have excellent wifi and 110 power, what sonos system , maybe two speakers would best
I’m on recent of software.I would group a bunch of speakers and play music. Then, for no reason at all, it would not play on any except one of the speakers in the group. I have to ungroup and re-add. This started about two weeks go. I do have a TV connected tho the Arc and maybe it is related to playing tv and stop playing passing audio back to the music app. Anyone else with this issue? ---------------------------------Era 100: BedroomSerial Number: XXSonos OS: S2Version: 15.11 (build 76247270)Hardware Version: 1.38.1.10-1.1Series ID: A100IP Address: XXWM: 1---------------------------------Era 100: Dining RoomSerial Number: XXSonos OS: S2Version: 15.11 (build 76247270)Hardware Version: 1.38.1.10-1.1Series ID: A100IP Address: XXWM: 1---------------------------------Era 100: Extra DinningSerial Number: XXSonos OS: S2Version: 15.11 (build 76247270)Hardware Version: 1.38.1.10-1.1Series ID: A100IP Address: XXWM: 1---------------------------------Sonos One SL: Great Room (LS)Serial
Quick question (I double posted this as I added to the original to the wrong forum, so now in Home Theatre). My wall/windows where the Sonos Era 300 speakers will be placed is at an angle (30 degree angle vs the 0 angle couch) so I would have the left rear channel closer to the corner of the couch and the right rear channel further away from the other corner of the couch. So essentially they would be the same height and length distance from the couch/listening spot but one rear speaker would be 3-4 feet behind the other one.Can true play tuning accommodate for this to create the proper surround sound bubble?Link to Floorplan
I have a pair of Play 3 set up as a stereo pair. A few months ago they began to randomly loose connection and the app says it could not find one of them. Nothing has been changed or unplugged from the setup. I go through the reconnect steps on the app and they reconnect. It happens randomly. My son-in-law has a Play 1 and his has started to do the same thing over the past few months. This suggests to me it is a software issue. Can Sonos please sort this issue out! I bought the speakers believing Sonos was a top end speaker system. I currently don’t believe this to be the case.
Hey guys, Current Sonos setup - Arc & Sub Mini. Thinking to get Era 100s by 11/27 (great deal going on) Do you think surrounds add a lot of value? I would have loved to buy Era 300 for Dolby atmos but I feel they are super overkill and having middle drivers disabled when in surrounds, not worth it. Oh yes, an average apartment/condo living room. Thank you Sonos gang!
HiTrying to work out where the issue lies, with my LG oled or the Sonos ARC. Those that have an LG OLED and Sonos ARC and use passthrough / eARC settings on the TV when you play any Dolby digital 5.1 content via a device like the ATV4K does your Sonos app report multichannel pcm 7.1 ? If you have your xbox audio set to uncompressed 5.1 does the sonos app report multichannel pcm 7.1? Those that don’t have an LG OLED does your sonos arc output as multichannel pcm 5.1 for the above configurations? I’m just trying to work out where this issue lies once and for all, so I can report it. Thanks
Just bought arc. Lousy tinnie sound. So, I invested in a 700 dollar Sub. Still sucks. I have a 150 dollar Alexa Speaker that sounds 10 times better. And, yes, I did the true sound and fiddles with the EQ. WTH!Merry Christmas to me!
I have a soundsystem with arc and sub and two era 300, I have tried EQ in every possible way, manually and even several trueplay, but metal music sounds quite dissapointing i this system. It lacks of drum kick power or clarity, drums barely distinguish. It feels like a plastic void sound. I find airpods sound better than a system that cost me thousands euros. Furthermor I have two Hércules monitors and a sonos move that sounds better. Now I can’t return my equipment because I bought few months ago, but experience so far is quite dissapointing. I invited some friends home to help me twitching EQ, but they have same opinion, sound quality is very dissapointing for the price.
I have recently purchased a SONOS amp and I am trying to get it going. I have a large collection of music located on a Windows 10 PC. I have enabled Media Streaming on the pc. The SONOS app see the media server and allows me to browse the collection of music. Most of the files are in FLAC format. A few are MP4 or WMA files. The SONOS plays the MP4 and WMA files fine but it fails on the FLAC files. An obscure error message “An error occurred while adding tracks to the Queue (701)” is briefly displayed on the app screen when I select the track in the app. The FLAC files were generated by ripping CDs in the Windows Media Player. The “Audio Quality->470 940 kbps” option was enabled for the rip. I think that setting turns on automatically when FLAC is selected in the Windows Media Player. I have played these same files through a different product, an Audiocast, using the same configuration without problems. Ant ideas on what’s going wrong? Does anyone know what the 701 error me
Hi everyone! This article will be focusing on Music Services available within the Sonos app - if you have any further questions on this subject, feel free to post a reply, and we’ll update the article What Music Services are available on Sonos? You can find here a full list of Music Services on Sonos - it’s worth noting however that not all music services are available in all regions, you can check where any given service is available to be added to Sonos by clicking the link for that music service. If you should have access to a music service, but it doesn’t show up in the list when adding a music service , then we recommend double checking that you have the correct location set on your Sonos Profile, and then performing a manual check for updates from the Sonos App - this will update the list of available Music Services in the app. What content is available via Music Services? Not all music services offer the same selection of content, and this may even change within the same service
Hi All,I just installed my Era 300 on the Sonos wall mount upside down option. My question is if there is need to be a gap between the wall mount and the era 300 - please see pictureHow far should the brads be screwed and how much space should be left On the one hand I can tighten the screws more and on the other hand I don't want to do any damage…Any feedback/experience from the community with that case?Raz
This is mendt to be for the people in Sonos development.I think Sonos is doing a pretty good job in all of they capasities. It’s a good specter of product to choose from. But now i’m seaching for a speaker on the small side, and here is what i “wish” for. A speaker who i can use in a bathroom, witch means it need to handle some sort of damp enviroment. It need to be able to use as stereo-pair with a Sub/Sub mini and be able to be used as surround. It need to be smaller than the Play:1/One/One SL’s but bigger than a Roam. I could wish for a angle powercord-connector too. It is something i could mount flush on a wall without drilling whole in my wall…the mount could be using doubleside tape as attachment. It could be wireless/battery power, but this is not mendt to be a portable speaker. This is just to “deal” with a thinner powercord instead of the normal size cords from Sonos….it’s to have the minimum on a bathrooms wall if you understand what i mean. The Move had been great for this, but i
i have samsung tv that connected to beam 2 by HDMI to Earc until yesterday every thing work fine.after the update to 15.8 the beam refuses to connect to the tv. i talk with the support and we tried everything. the only way to get the beam to connect is unplug the power cable and plug it back every time i turn my tv this is the only way. since yesterday that what i do every time i turn my tv.its a nightmare sonos have to fix this issue.
arc microphone constantly turns off and off by itself with alexa and smart lg tv eARC connection.arc volume control always works with tv.
We’ve been waiting for 7+ years for a really robust iOS experience. The widget request he’s literally been out there for over 7 years. Apple is clearly all in on widgets - why can’t Sonos provide software that makes it easier to control our system? It’s not like you’re spending your resources on a really great Google or Alexa integration (they both continue to be virtually unusable), or an Apple Watch app, or tight integration with SiriusXM (the frequency of errors starting a stream is laughable), or Apple Music (start a station within Sonos? No, No one would want that). I love the sound quality of our Sonos system, but if I was creating a new system today, I don’t know that Sonos is worth the price point. Certainly the aging software and lack of innovation is a big warning sign.
Hello, I’m French. My SUB always has the white light permanently on. But it doesn't switch to green. Why won't it?How do I reset it?I can't.Help me, pleaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaseThanks
what do y’all recommend for my living room? I currently have Sonos 1 and a Beam. I have a 19’ wide X 25’ long X 12’ tall room. My TV is directly on the wall in the front. I am shopping for the sub woofer but not sure what would be best to pair up with the Sonos 1 (thinking putting those in the front book shelves and either the ERA’s or the 5’s in the back thoughts
I live in a top floor of an apartment with so-so soundproofing. Not great but not paper either. I’ve installed a little of my own soundproofing. I largely use my system for movies and games. It consists of two One SL surrounds and an Arc. So my question is, would it even be worth it to get a sub? If so, would a Gen 3 or mini do me better in the context of apartment listening? I wouldn’t be opposed to buying a mat to put under it. Or do I just wait until I’m hypothetically in a house.
Hi I have Sonos arc and sub and 2 ceiling speakers wired to connect amp. Ceiling speakers have been working no problem with music but since grouping them as surround sound on the app there is no sound coming from them. I have a Samsung frame tv and I don’t see any settings there to adjust. I saw a post earlier that suggested removing the Ethernet cable to the arc which I did. thanks.
Hi my Roam arrived today. I have other Sonos speakers so pretty familiar with the set up etc. However, my roam keeps stopping playing the music from Apple Music after a few seconds to a minute in. This happened on WiFi and Bluetooth mode. When it does this, my iPhone tells me the music is still playing but no sound is coming from the roam or my phone. I’m with Talktalk and the router doesn’t show an internet problem. I can’t figure it out. On occasion, the speaker just turns off (no leds on at all). Then when I switch it back on, the playlist is wiped. It’s fully charged and does this when plugged in and when running off battery. Is it a duff and I need a replacement?
The mega thread for TV info and suggestions is more than dead. I'm looking for people's experience with recently purchased TVs available at Costco that are ballpark 77" and have and success with the Sonos arc systems, cec, dolby atmos, etc. Anyone that has recently purchased one and has had success without all the problems we here about, please let me know. Thanks in advance.
I have an older system with an S1 connect interfaced as a source with an existing audio system. What if any are the advantages of switching to an S2 connect and an S2 OS. Is this the correct choice or is there another piece of connect hardware I should look at? As near as I can tell Sonos no longer sells the S2 connect hardware as all I can find are used units.
Hi. Bit of a technology dinosaur here. I’m looking to add a turntable to my current Sonos system (bridge, play:1 and play:3). What is the most cost effective route?
