My Arc is connected to my TV (Sony XBR65X950H) while my Beam is not. The TV and Arc was purchased in January, while the Beam dates back to about 2 years. About 3 weeks ago, I could no longer group  Arc and Beam to play music or sounds from TV on Beam. When I group them to play music, it works for maybe 15 to 30 minutes and then the speakers stop playing. When this happens, Sonos  App still indicates music is playing, yet no sound. If I select “stop” on Sonos App, I received a message that the App can’t be found. Also, when I group Arc and Beam together for TV sound, the sound on the Beam goes in and out.  If I play music as a stand alone (without grouping them), both seems to work fine independently and TV sound using Arc as speakers has no issue. The problem occurs in grouping them. I also have Sonos One - when I group all of them, sound stop on Arc and Beam with music (No sound on Beam for TV). There is no Wifi issue when this happens.  I reset the Arc and the Beam numerous times and

I have a daily alarm set to play TuneIn BBC Radio 4 on my sonos system. Recently I got the warning on there that TuneIn is stopping the BBC programmes on 21st March 2021. So I changed my alarm to use Sonos BBC radio 4 channel.However it continued to play the tuneIn one. As a check, I changed it to Sonos Radio 3 for this morning. It didn’t play. I saw it showed it as playing though. Also it was showing up as an HD station.Anyway I’m concerned that after 21st March I won’t be able to set an alarm to play BBC radio 4. And will I need to pay a subscription to access Radio 3 as it’s showing as HD?I live in the UK. Access to these stations is an important part of my daily listening and how I use SONOS. It’s a bit of a deal breaker for my use of SONOS in future. I am on SONOS 2 although my devices are mainly older, I do expect them to last longer!

I have Sonos One with Alexa set up, and see this issue:In Sonos App, go to Settings - System - <your speaker> - Volume Limit - set to 35% Say “Alexa, set volume to 2”. Alexa sets volume to 2, all good here. Say “Alexa, what’s the volume?”Alexa says: “Device is at volume 4”.Can this inconsistency be fixed please?

good evening, I have a sonos zp 120 and when I turn the volume to maximum or close to maximum, the yellow LED stops and lights up, and then I have to press the mute button to restart, I mention that I have 8 ohm speakers. is it broken or can something be done? thanks

Yes, I have read all of these forums. Yes, I am tired of trying to fix this.  I have changed the channel on my wifi and sonosNet.  I have unplugged everything and reset everything a millions times over with different channels, different router settings, device settings and everything. NOTHING seems to be fixing this error for me. I am considering taking these back and just getting a refund.   They worked great for a week and suddenly just stopped working without any apparent reason.  This is a defect. Is there any last thing I can do before I take these back?  I am not looking forward to getting in-store credit for these.  Note: House full of new Gen 3 Sonos equipment.

Hi Last weekend I followed the recommended steps to separate my system with the S1 app controlling my older components and the S2 app controlling the new ones. It worked really well for a couple of days until the S1 controller stopped finding my older components and only finding the new ones and saying “connect to Sonos” and asking me to update to S2. Its very frustrating.I have reset the S1 App and reconnected all the components again having done a factory reset on all of them several times now but the same thing happens. One of my components, the Connect, is also connected via an Ethernet. There seems to be no issue with the internet service as the S2 app and new components work fine.any ideas on what else I can try? 

I experience constant fall out every 1 minute for 3-7 seconds on all streamed channels in Sonos library, EXCEPT national channel DR and it’s local stations. Anybody can help?

HiI’ve had a BEAM for about 10 months and it has been working just fine, as both TV Soundbar and music speaker.Yesterday I noticed when I turned the TV on that the sound was coming from the TV, not the Beam.  I looked at the Sonos iOS App and it confirmed the Beam wasn’t playing the TV sound.So I went into setup and selected ‘TV Setup’, confirmed ‘Continue’ and the app reported “X HDMI” and “√ HDMI ARC”. This boded well. I clicked “Connected to ARC”. The app responded with Connecting but then came back with “A device is interfering with the HDMI Connection. Disconnect any other home theatre products, then try again.”  I have no other Home Theatre products to disconnect.I have discocnected the Beam from the TV, switched both off for about 15 minutes then powered both back up and reconnected the HMDMI ARC cable. Same result: the TV sound does not come from there Beam if I select it as an output.If, however, I disconnect the other HDMIs (Virgin Box & DVD) the Beam works. I am having problems with my Sonos Sub (G1) range.  My Sonos AMPs are in a separate AV room and will not connect to the Sub reliably. If I move it about 5 meters closer it will connect.  Was wondering if buying a G3 sub would help - is the range much better?

past 2 days, 6am yesterday and 7:30am today, my sonos patio speaker starts playing at random.  All my apps are closed, there are not alarms set to the system. This has happened randomly in the past, can’t figure out how to fix it. Please help

Hi,  I have linked my Youtube Account, and i can see the playlists, but all songs are displayed with a slash acrsoss and cannot be played. Any tips? 

I changed routers but trying to get my speakers onto the new network has proven to be a disaster. How can I totally start my sonos system set up as if I had just received all my components? Delete system and rebuild system.

Will Sonos give me funding to buy either a Mac or windows pc as the no longer support Chromebook or will they like me to move to another sound system?' 

why can't I play my own music on Sonos,  All it's wants is for me to pay for streaming services 

Hi, I’m glad to see the other formats have been added to the app now, so you don’t have to go into about my system to check you are getting the correct method. However, is there anyway you can change Dolby Atmos so it actually shows Dolby Atmos - True HD and Dolby Atmos - DD+. Would be nice to separate them out as well, seeing as you have now added the rest.          

I use a stereo pair of Sonos Move and an iMac with Catalina OS runningWhen I switch from Spotify to Youtube, I have to change the sound output each time.Meaning this:when I play spotify, I have to look for the Sonos output within Spotify. Which changes my Mac sound output to iMac Speakers When I now want to play a Youtube video, I have to change my Mac sound output to SOnos and in the process lose the Spotify connectionWhere do you think the problem is coming from ?

A couple of days ago, my P5 G2 stopped working thru wifi, I’ve made a lot of system resets but not working. The only way to get it works is thru wire. If I remove wire, disappears from app. Of course wifi is enable in the speaker.Please see diagnostics number.P5 Connected to boost thru wire: 1876273936P5 Disconnected: 1761056606

Hey hey,  Apologies if this has been asked already.. I have a system running on S1. Listening to BBC radio stations at the moment and I get a message saying that it won’t work from the twenty something of March..I can’t upgrade to S2 because of legacy devices.. do I have any option to keep listening to BBC radio stations after this date?  thanks so much!

Hi All,This is a common issue I’m aware, but I haven’t received any useable solutions from Sonos support or Samsung nor seen any smoking gun solutions online.Sonos ARC with Gen3 Sub and Sonos AMP powering rear in-ceilingsSamsung UA40KU6000Xbox One XAs the title explains, there is an audio delay experienced on the ARC, typically when outputting dolby digital via bitstream to the TV and back to the ARC via hdmi arc. The Xbox has a handy feature in that it wirelessly outputs audio to your controller’s 3.5mm output jack, whilst also outputting normal audio - the audio from the controller is instant or near instant so it’s a great tool to hear for any discrepancies. Testing is as follows with HDMI ARC:Xbox set to PCM stereo. Hello,My Sonos  Connect is part of S2. Since about 3 weeks when streaming Pandora it reboots dropping the connection or looses the group with a pair of Sonos SL. That can happen after two hours, one hour, or earlier. The white light on the front will lit and flash.In addition I had created a group in Alexa. At the beginning it worked fine but mow mostly Alexa is not listening ? Could it be a hardware defect of the Connect ?

HiI have the Sonos Amp, a Beam and a couple of Sonos Ones. I want to connect them in a way to get the best sound output from my TV, Music( Streamed on Wifi through the Spotify app) and my turntable. What will be best way to connect them so achieve this. As if now, the Amp is connected to the TV through the HDMI ARC, the Ones are connected as surrounds with the Beam and while watching TV or listening to music, I am grouping both the Amp and the Beam group to get sound. Not sure if this is the ideal way to about it. Thanks

Why for the love of god are you still require users to use SMBv1 voor NAS Support? I have a simple setup in a small room - Play 5 connected directly to a Teac TN-300 turntable (AT 95e cart and integrated pre-amp).  I’m upgrading my turntable and don’t know whether it will make much difference to get a stand alone pre-amp.  While I like the Play 5, this is certainly no audiophile setup, so I’m not sure I would realize enough benefit in sound quality going with a standalone to offset the convenience of an integrated pre-amp.  Have any of you experimented with this?
