I have an existing Sonos 2 network throughout my home, including a Beam + Sub + Sonos Amp for surrounds in my family room, and other Sonos speakers around the house.  I am installing a projection TV in my bedroom and bought a new Beam for it, but would also like to use some existing speakers for rear surround.  I have an older ConnectAmp that I would like to use to power those.  If I use a wired ethernet connection between the Beam and the ConnectAmp will that work for driving the surround speakers even though the ConnectAmp is not compatible with the newer Sonos 2 wireless network?

I have a Benq HT2050 projector that I am trying to (re) connect to my Sonos Playbar and two Sonos:1s. My set up has worked in the past, but when I recently replaced the lamp in the projector and hooked it back up the Playbar no longer receives audio input. The projector itself has a small built-in speaker which still works (it can’t be turned off), but for the past year or two that has been the case without interfering with the Playbar for playing TV audio.  I use an HDMI Switch, to which the projector is connected (via HDMI out), AppleTV is connected (via HDMI in) and the Playbar is connected (via audio optical). I tried resetting the Playbar and replacing the audio optical cord (which does show the red light) but have had no luck. When I check the “About My System” there is no audio signal being received by the Playbar.  Appreciate any guidance—we miss our sound system. 

My network seems to be working quite well.  I recently added a new Play One SL and was curious about my Sonos network so I pulled up the network matrix.  My Living Room (LF, RF), Living Room (SW) and Deck are connected via ethernet.  Deck is actually a Connect:AMP that sits near my server cabinet.  None of the other speakers are on WiFi except for the move.  I connect them to ethernet to setup and that is it.I assume the red boxes are bad.  What can I do to improve that? 

I have a TV connected to a Playbar (optical cord) and a Connect Amp (Ethernet connection).  My TV has Bluetooth capability so I connected my Air pods to my TV via Bluetooth so I can listen to the TV without bothering others in the house.  However, the sound still comes out of the soundbar while I am listening with my headphones.  How do I get the soundbar to stop outputting sound while I am listening with my headphones?  Thanks.

I have an Epson 2100 Home Cinema Projector and I do not think it has an HDMI ARC port.   I have a fire stick connected to it right now and want to add in the brand new Sonos Beam 5.1 system I just received.   I ordered a 3x1 HDMI Switch with TOSLINK Optical SPDIF & RCA L/R Audio Out, 3 Port HDMI Audio Extractor Splitter with Remote, Supports ARC, 4kx2k@30hz, Full 3D, 1080P  on amazon as well as a Monoprice Certified Premium HDMI Cable - White - 15 Feet | 4K@60Hz, HDR, 18Gbps, 28AWG, YUV 4  and a Toslink Digital Optical Audio Cable, GearIT Pro Series TOSLINK Digital Optical Audio Cable 15 Feet for HDTV, PS3, Tivo, Sound Bar, Stereo Receiver and Home Theater System - White .Can anyone help me be successful in this endeavor? Jason

Hi all,I love my Sonos Play:1s but have always had a problem with the warmup time when accessing my music library. Cover art doesn’t appear, I usually get an error message stating the library can’t be found, and eventually when the computer with my library comes on line all is OK.  the computer in question is an early 2008 iMac with a Core 2 Duo (3.06Ghz) chip in our basement a fair distance from the living room router. So I am in a wireless setup. I really want to fix this! no issues with Spotify, TuneIn, internet/streaming services. I’m trying to figure out where the bottleneck lies.. old processor on the iMac, poor wifi (though streaming works fine), something else..I’ve checked thst my iMac is not in sleep mode, and disabled the file sharing option.  Would a NAS connected directly to the router and sharing my music library solve this problem?  

HI community, I have read that 4 speakers, each at 4 Ohms, put in parallel in Sonos Amp is flat out not possible. Even 6 ohms each would not be possible. The requirement is 8 ohms, so the total net load is at a minimum 4 Ohms. But all of the discussions are for parallel speaker configurations. What about 2 speakers, 4 ohms each, connected in series on each channel? I am not an audiophile, and not sure what that would do to (a) the sonos amp and (b) general listening quality.   

I got my Sonos Arc, Sub3, OneSL to all connect to my Sony tv and Apple 4K box flawlessly before Christmas.  Earlier this month, I inadvertently allowed the tv to update the Android OS and now I have had nothing but troubles. I haven’t checked all of the various posts but here are my observations and issuesConnecting the tv and sonos via wifi and the network strength seems healthy The tv would switch to the Sonos system at the beginning (1 week ago) and now it can’t even find it (today). Sometimes it would drop the connection. I have unplugged everything except my Arc and the TV (eArc port which is hdmi3).   I can stream music to my speakers from my iPhone The app can’t find the tv nor does the tv find the sound system. I have unplugged it and switched cables but still not sure. If I switch to hdmi 3, I get a picture/pattern similar to the ones you see on the sonos box.So now I am thinking that there is a bug either in the Android OS or the Sonos S2 app on my iPhone.  Not sure what are 

I have a full Arc SL home theater up and working just fine (except for that little part about Atmos...), and the S2 app is running on my iOS devices just as fine. I installed the MacOS version of S2, and it doesn’t see the Arc. I get the following message:Not connectedYour Sonos product was not found. If your product is a long way from your router, you may need to try moving it closer.Please select “Try again.”For information about firewall configuration and other potential network problems, go to…” etc. None of that applies to this install. The Arc is working well, and its farther away from the router than my desktop iMac, which is about 20 feet away from the Arc. This same desktop had no trouble working with a prior Playbar, using the classic (pre “S1”) Sonos controller app. I’ve searched and read all the articles that might apply to this situation, and there’s no advice for this specific dialog box.

A week ago I was able to connect my audible app to Sonos perfectly fine. now there is no little speaker icon that allows you to connect to devices and then select your Sonos speaker. Instead all I see is a little car icon to pop up the driving mode for the audible app. I am running the most current versions of both Sonos and audible. Any input on how to fix this would be greatly appreciated.

I have an older TV that does not support HDMI ARC, but does have HDMI ports. I have a Sony X900h and Sonos Arc connected via eArc and both of them updated to the latest settings.  Occasionally I’ll get sound drops from the arc where it cuts out for about 5-15 seconds.  I don’t have to do anything as it’ll come back on its own eventually but there’s no rhyme or reason it seems. Here are a couple of diagnostics I took after it happened. 611569649 455238316 1830209319I’d appreciate it if any ‘mods’ stopping by were able to take a look at these.

When you cast something using it to a Sony TV x950h is the sound not as loud. Seems like I have to turn it up a lot louder to hear it.   i have the new Sonos Arc and Gen 3 Subwoofer.   Just got this today with the new TV.   I am at 53 volume to hear it.  

What kind of Sonos equipment do i need to connect this to Sonos:   1 cd player denon 1 amp nad 1 turntable rega Should’nt connect all just with one port?

Hi, I recently moved from using the old Bridge to using S2. Since then the connection has been unstable for most of my Sonos speakers; it either doesn’t play, or keeps stopping. We use a mesh wifi system in the house, and we also have issues with Alexa connectivity now. Its intermittent, although she says she is doing something it doesn’t actually happen that often.  I would much appreciate a solution to the above, and understand we will have to work through a number of diagnostics first. I’ve ruled out as much as possible within my knowledge base. 

Hi all, Looking for some help, maybe someone has had a similar issue.I have a Sonos One in the living room that when i ask to play music using the alexa function it plays on my office speaker too. Even if i specify “play xxx in the living room” it still plays in the office. The speaker in the office is the older Play 1.  I’ve ungrouped them on the app, thinking that might be the problem ( the last time used may have been as a pair/group so it continues) but as soon as i used another voice command in the living room on the Sonos One, it was back to playing on both. Just wondered what i might be missing. Short of resetting everything and starting fresh i’m not sure what to do! ThanksPaul

I am trying to add Google Assistant to Sonos. Each time I try to do so, the Google Assistant app says that no devices are found. I've reset my router factory reset my Sonos one with no luck. 

Hi Everyone Is there a way to stop Google being so vocal when it replies to commands like turning off the lights? On my Google home device it just chimes but on my Sonos One it replies with some thing like. "OK turning off three lights". All the devices are in the same room.    Thanks Ryan

Does the Sonos 2 app allow for high resolution playback now, or does it just enable it for future use? my system is updated but a search will not show any Tidal Masters tracks.

Hi I updates app and sonos system (ARC and gen3 sub) to 12.2.2 today.After I went to check for updates via the app and it said app needs an update despite it all being up to date.I clicked on update and it opened the app store sonos S2 app, but no update is available as its already updated.Seems like a small bug, so just to make you aware.

I am having issues connecting to iHeartRadio and Sonos radio.. When I try and connect to either I get a message that says “Sonos (or iHeartRadio) needs to be re-authorized. I “re-authorize” the account and I try and connect again and it does the same thing ALL over again…     It worked when I originally set the system up about 6 weeks ago. Now it’s stopped. I have reset the speaker. Deleted and re-installed the app. Reset the modem. Updated both the Sonos app and the Sonos speaker. (Both were up to date) Still the same issue……  Customer support is lacking/disinterested.  Hoping maybe someone has an idea…  This thing is beginning to be more trouble than it’s worth...

My default set up is to have my one sl in the office, one in the dining room and, beam in the living room connected to the main TV. However, I regularly stereo pair the one and sl together in the dining room and when watching movies I will set up the one and sl as surrounds with the Beam in the living room.When using the trueplay feature, does this overwrite all exisiting sound settings for each speaker or does it just alter the sound settings for the speaker in a particular room/ configuration?It would be good to have a feature that allows the speaker settings identified using the trueplay set up to be rememberred, so we don’t have to use trueplay everytime speakers are moved to get the most of the set up.Alternatively, sonos could create a saved configuration option, so don’t have to unpair from stereo in the dining room before setting up the surrounds in the living room. Could just select ‘custom config 3’ as an example and the set up would happend automatically. 

We are researching installing a Epson 2250 projector and adding Sonos Beam as the sound bar and then adding Sonos SL units for surround. We also need the ability to connect a Nintendo Switch.Epson 2250 only has 1 HDMI 2.0 port so we are looking for options to split the single port to be able to connect the Sonos Beam for audio and also use the Nintendo Switch. Is there a special HDMI switch that will allow for constant audio to the Beam but also allow for other HDMI inputs to be used?Thanks for any assistance.Forrest

I've tried everything that everyone else has tried, but it's just dead. The app finds it and I get up to the point where it tells me it’s switching over to its own wifi connection, then it fails. I’ve tried it a dozen times. I’ve tried directly to the router using two different network cables in case I had a bad one. I’ve rebooted the router, the modem, the unit the phone several times. I’ve deleted the app twice and reloaded it. All my other Sonos devices have no problems.I’ve tried calling support three different times on three different days and each time I was put on hold for over half an hour or longer before they disconnected or hung up on me. I even got up early in the morning (PST) last week hoping to get in a short line but the same thing happens. Put on hold then disconnected. I even tried their chat but it's not working on their site. It's a shame since I’m a partner in an AV company and we have installed hundreds of Sono products but I can’t even get mine to work.it's out o

My Sonos connect was working fine, then just stopped (lost connection on SONOS) ethernet lights were solid green/ amber. Disconnected and switched off and on, white light flashed but system couldn’t recognise its existence. Switched off / on again but this time no white light. This is now how it appears. Has it finally packed up?
