PART 1: I have a Show 5 and Sonos One in my kitchen. I want the Show to be my Alexa device, but would like the One to be my speaker for music in the Kitchen. When playing music, I don't want to have to specify “kitchen” in my commands. I created a group called Kitchen, and added the Show and Sonos One to that group. The Sonos One is set as the speaker for this group the playback option is set to “Always.” Question… Did I set this up right? Should I turn the mic off on the Sonos One? If yes, is there a way to disable the mic so someone (i.e. one of my kids) doesn't press the button and turn on the One’s mic by mistake? PART 2: I have a Sonos Beam in the living room, which is next to the kitchen. It is connected to my TV via HDMI. Sometimes I want to be able to play the same music through both the Sonos One and the Beam. I currently own a Sony soundbar. Each time I’m watching a film, I have to constantly turn the volume up (when characters are speaking) and down (when the action starts).Years ago, I had a 5.1 system, which allowed me adjust each separate channel, so I raised the one with the dialogue (the centre channel) and that solved the issue. So, my question is this: Does the Sonos Arc allow you to increase the volume of specific channels so I can increase dialogue?     

Hi,I have 5 Sonos products.I recently went from SonosNet to Wifi and everything has been working fine for about two weeks.Suddenly one of my speakers stopped working, a Sonos One with Microphone. I tried moving it around the apartment, and now it is the one closest to the router.The other 4 speakers works perfectly still, even farther away from router.When trying to get it to play music Sonos app says "Unable to connect to Sonos product".Sometimes I can get it playing for like a small period of time, but suddenly it stops playing.Submitted a diagnostic 2075424226.Right now no information is showing up in the app, but through the router I can see the MAC-address of the problematic Sonos One is 78:28:CA:B1:F1:C6.I did try to factory reset this single speaker, by holding the back button when powering up, blinking white and orange and setting it up through the app, works briefly but then fails to play music. Thinkin about switching back to SonosNet to see if it works, but really wanted to

I have a Sonos Beam in my living room in a group with two Gen 1 Sonos One speakers and a Sonos Sub. I have had Alexa enabled since I initially setup this system. All had been working well but suddenly, Alexa will not stop or pause playing by voice command. I can say "Alexa, play NPR" and it will respond properly. I can say "Alex Louder" and "Alex Lower" and the volume will adjust. But when I say "Alexa Stop" (which is what I've been saying since day one) or "Alexa Pause" it will simply make the command chime and keep playing. Also, the Beam is working properly but in the Sonos app, I don't specifically see the Beam listed as a speaker. I think it might simply be labeled "Living Room?" I'm not sure if I should see the Beam specifically? I tried to remove Alexa and reactivate it but I got completely confused and I'm not sure what I accomplished. I have over 20 Sonos speakers in my home. They are all compatible with the new Sonos S2 app. When I try to create an automations in HomeKit such as arriving home, It always causes the scene to fail. When I remove the audio from the scene, it works fine.I want to have my music to play to my speakers. I have selected the speakers to play and have selected the music in Apple Music and have checked it and adjusted the volume to where I want it to play. The artwork is shown when I get back to the Scene I am creating.  Can you give me suggestions on how to have this work if there is a way to make it work. If not, then please ask your technical team to consider adding this to a future update. Thank you very much. 

Hi Guys , I have a number of Sonos products and was looking for advice on how best to set up them together. In my living room I have my TV a connected to a sound bar , a Sonos bass and two Sonos 1. I got a project deck (without Bluetooth) and I need to connect it to the system. I do have a Sonos 5 V2 which I can connect to the deck. So that means in the living room I have a play bar , a bass , two Sonos 1’s and now a Sonos 5. Can you please advice what is the way to set this up. also any advice as to where to put each speaker in the room will be very helpful 

I changed my router & wifi this summer & haven’t been able to get my speaker to connect since then.  I did a factory reset.  I heard chimes, unpugged, replugged.  Still Sonos couldn’t find the device.  I deleted & reinstalled the sonos app on my iphone 8.  I did another factory reset.  I’ve watch youtube vides, read lots of other people’s complaints about the same… The system on the sonos app is grayed out….Here’s the real problem.  I’m 67 years old.  There’s not a lot of time left on my clock & spending 2 hours today trying to solve the problem like a grown up is just wasted time I don’t have.  I have an ORBI router & a netgear 5 port switch because the ORBI doesn’t have room for extra ethernet cables.  I’m not an IT person but I’m not fully demented yet but stuff like this doesn’t help.  Can anyone help this old lady out with some simple instructions?

Just set up a Sonos one with Alexa and whenever she talks there’s a lot of static in the voice. I’m not noticing it when playing music as much if at all. 

I have had a Sonos Arc for a couple of months now and cannot seem to get the audio to tie up with Lip Syncing from any device. I have an LG GX tv and have the Sonos into the eArc port on the TV.  I have a Sky box which I watch TV on and the audio seems to be behind the lip sync of anyone who talks, I also notice this when I run apps like Youtube and BBC Iplayer from the Sky box. I have set the audio out to PCM and it has made no difference.  I also have an Xbox and PS5 connected and if I run TV apps on those then I get the same results of delayed audio. I can’t seem to find an email address for Support to open a ticket and because I am very busy with work during the day I don’t have time to spend on the phone.

Sound quality? Anyone have any feedback please?

Can anyone tell me if I can use playbar and sub then two play 5s as surround sound speakers?App doesn't give me the option... 

I see people have been logging this complaint regularly for months i have been using my Playbar and two Sonos Ones for over 3 years and love them 3 days ago Alexa switched to a whisper and just won’t change. Nothing was changed here worrying 

Hello everyone. Im kindly asking your expertise. I have Project juke box E TT with a set of speakers from Project (x 2 Speaker box 5), connected to left/right speakers output on TT. Basically, usual set up.The TT also has RCA outputs at line level and preamp/phono level, also stereo RCA line-level input.My question, would it be possible to connect Sonos 5 to RCA line out with current 2 passive speakers connected, so the sound will play from all 3 speakers simultaneously? Or I will experience a short lag from Sonos 5, therefore audio stream will not be synchronized?Thanks for all your guidance!

Question is.When using the Fives as rears in a surround system with the arc and sub, do the Fives have to be vertical or can they be horizontal?  I want to mount them on the wall behind the seating area and by the looks of my options the only wall mounts I can find have them horizontally positioned.  if they have to be vertical, does anyone know of any wall mounts that would work?

My play bar only comes with an optical input And it’s not allowing me to adjust the volume with my TV remote how do I fix that

Hello - I just purchased a Boost today and I cannot get it setup for the life of me. All of the online research tells me there should be an option in System → Settings to Setup Boost. After talking to support they have recently removed that option in the app during the latest upgrade. Has anyone had recent luck in getting the Boost setup?Thank you!

Hey!I have a building where I need to put 14 sonos speakers so that the music plays the same everywhere, but there is no internet in the building. Therefore, all the speakers are connected via a cable to the switch, which is connected to the modem, and it is connected to the computer. I see that the modem is giving out different ip addresses to the speakers. But I still can't tune in to see all 14 speakers. I only see one of them. Tell me what I'm doing wrong and why I can't see all the speakers.Thanks!

I have a Connect Amp with speakers outdoor that works fine playing music from app.connected Line in of Amp from TV’s audio out and it detects the cable connection but not playing the audio out the speakers. If i Auto group it to play on other sonos speakers inside my house, it works fine, the TV audio plays in the inside speakers, just not on the AMp. I have a subwoofer also connected which works fine for music played from the app but just wont switch to Line in. I have factory reset the amp with no luck...beats me! Any thoughts??

I have an issue that has annoyed me for well over a year now, but today it was particularly bad. I haven’t seen anyone else with the same issue. So decided to post here. I have looked on the forums for a solution, but no-one else seems to have the same issue.--- SYSTEM --- My Sonos system is comprised of a Connect and 2 Play:1s.The Connect is connected to ethernet back to the router. Both Play:1s are on wireless.This issue only seems to affect the Connect, so I don’t believe this is specifically a network issue.--- ISSUE ---The issue is that the connect will jump/skip/stutter the audio of a song. Now I don’t mean skip to the next track, I mean jump like a record skipping, it just seems to “miss a beat” here and there. (I have some audio recordings of it doing it, but I never seem to manage the really bad ones). It will often happen more at the beginning of a track.For extra information, it does not matter if I am streaming FLAC or MP3 from my NAS Drive or online streaming from Spotify/

Hello, first time poster. Recently moved into a new house, I’ve had to wait a while to get funds sorted to kit out the theatre room. In the interim I put in a small/minimalist floating shelf below where the TV will be mounted. Shelf space where roof speaker wires come through the wallI made an error in making this shelf compact (1M X 30CM) because now I can’t properly fit in an AV receiver for the 5 speakers I have in the roof. However, I’ve been advised that a Sonos Amp could be used to power the two rear roof speakers, and then I could potentially just go with a Sonos Arc to be wall mounted there as well. That combination (along with a Sonos Sub) should give me a good theatre room experience (so I am told).Question: Is one Sonos amp + Arc + Sub going to work in this situation? Will the amp power the two speakers and the sub (2.1 channels?)Annoyingly, this seems to make the other 3 roof speakers somewhat redundant. So my question is, do I just forget about them, or is there another wa

I have 2 sonos amps and 1 sonos move. the amps are connected together and then to the router via a Ethernet switchone of the amps cuts in and out all the time . It is the one directly connected to the switch other one is fine. Ive checked all connections and rebooted router any ideas

Hey allI have a turntable with a pre-amp that I currently connect to my Play5.  However I will be adding wired-outdoor speakers that I need to connect into the broader system.  And I want to move my Play5 away from the turntable.  I also have a Play 3 and a Play 1.Can I get the Sonos outdoor speaker set w/Amp and plug both the outdoor speakers AND the turntable into the amp?  More importantly, can I then play the turntable without having to necessarily play the outdoor speakers at the same time.  I want to control them separately.If not, then what is my best option?  Confused!Thanks!

Hi everyone, hoping someone can help me out.  I have an existing Beam set up to my tv in a room called “Living Room”. Recently picked up a used Connect (Gen1) and have it hooked up to an old Yamaha receiver (CR-620, if you are interested). The receiver in turn is connected to a Yamaha turntable (YP-511). I have set up the Connect to a room called “Record Player”. From the receiver I have analog cables running from tape rec out to the Connect analog in. When I plug the cables into the rec out, I hear crackling from the Beam so I know it’s picking something up, but I cannot get it to pick up sound when the input is switched to “Phono” on my receiver!  I just cannot work out what (probably obvious) thing I’m doing wrong.  Many thanks in advance for any advice you can give me! Graeme

Hello. I have a Philips 65oled805 connected to a Sonos Arc via hmdi arc. When playing Dolby Atmos content from a premium Netflix account the Sonos app shows that it is receiving Stereo PMC 2.0. I am using the Netflix app on the tv. Am I missing something obvious?

Dear all, I purchased a SONOS ARC about 3 weeks ago and immediately connected - via eARC HDMI port - to my SONY AG9 OLED TV.It was recognized immediately, did my setup gig through the Android app and everything worked fine.The system turns on and off as soon as the TV turns on and off too.Since yesterday - inexplicably - the soundbar doesn't turn on anymore and the audio comes out classically from the Sony audio surface.I went into the AG9's audio settings "Display and sound" --> "Audio output" and moved from "TV speaker" manually to "Audio system".The audio finally comes back out of the soundbar but after about 10 seconds it comes back to the TV again with the error "TV Speaker Audio active due to communication error with Audio system".I’d like to add that:- the soundbar is working properly- I have tried changing the HDMI cable- the AG9 has the latest firmware installed.- I have unplugged and re-plugged (reset) both power cablesI read somewhere that SONOS ARC might be incompatible
