I am having connectivity issues with Sonos connecting and playing XM Radio consistently.  I have not had any connectivity issues in the past, and nothing has changed on my home network.  I have hard booted the network (unplugged components), DSL modem, router, Sonos Boost, PC, phone.  I still receive error messages.  In 5 minutes, I received the following three messages: (1) the song isn’t encoded correctly, (2) it is encoded using an unsupported digital rites management system, and (3) the connection to Sonos has been lost.  I am not having any other issues with my network.  Please advise what could be the problems.  Thank you!

My Sonos set up consists of a Play3, two Play1s and Boost. I just got the Roam as I wanted to group it with everything else. My wifi has 3 options; normal, 5g and meshMy existing Sonos all connects to normal and 5g. When setting up Roam it connected to the mesh. In the Sonos app I see either my existing devices (if I am connected to normal or 5g), or only the Roam (if connected to the mesh). At no point do I see all my devices and the Roam. This issue is preventing me from grouping the Roam with everything else (and that was the whole point in choosing the Roam). I cannot find a solution to this anywhere! Help please!

I keep getting the above message on all my devices, it has been fine for years, nothing has changed just keep getting this message and not being able to connect. I did recently subscribe to sonos radio, I will be unsubscribing, that may help. I have removed the app from all my devices, started again, signed in, got it sorted (or so I thought) an hour later, same message.

I can’t find the “Quiet Classical” station listed in Sonos radios menus on the Android app. However I can find it by using the app’s Search.I can add the station to “My Sonos” from Search but its icon is shown as washed out.Is all this a bug? How can it be fixed so the station is fully listed and has a proper graphicicon?

We are installing a Maior Flip 900 motorised TV Mount for a Samsung 65” OLED TV.  This mount allows TV to be tilted 90 degrees and then lowered down.  We are wanting install a Sonos Arc which will be used for both TV use and also with Spotify for normal music use.  Can we mount the Arc remotely on a high wall between ceiling and top of windows (approximately 3-4 feet behind tv) where we have an 8” gap on wall?Alternatively would could we mount to bottom of TV, but this will mean that when TV is in retracted position the Arc speaker would be face down towards floor.Any recommendations would be appreciated.ThanksPaul 

Hi, I recently moved into a furnished apartment that has a dualband WiFi, but the SSID for the 2.4 and 5 GHz is the same (and I cannot change it). Now, I am unable to set up my Sonos Play:1, it just stays in the loop of trying to find the Sonos when I try to set it up. My phone can switch between 2.4 and 5 but even when it’s on 2.4 it cannot set up the Sonos. I now have it wired but this means I have to put the Sonos speaker in the hallway which clearly is not ideal. Even when wired I cannot update the Sonos speaker with the WiFi information.I have searched the forum and tried some of the suggestions but haven’t been able to find a solution.Best,Jeroen

I am connecting an Audio Technica Turntable to my Sonos system using a Sonos Ray, using an analogue to digital converter and connecting this to the Ray bar. The Ray will not detect the optical signal from the converter. I have tested it by connecting it to the optical input on my Denon Amp and it works perfectly but the Ray will not detect it? If I connect an optical cable from the DVD player to the Ray it works but it will not work with the signal from the optical signal from analog to digital converter?

Here we are years into this issue and on the most recent iPhone, with the most recent iOS update and the most recent Sonos app it still doesn’t show in the iOS Lock Screen?No Airplay connected, nothing has the controls, no AirPods it’s just one room with one Sonos product and one iPhone. And still no Lock Screen. 

I have a client that wants to integrate a sub woofer into their living room joinery, the Sonos sub will not fit. We are setting up an Arc for the front and an Amp to run the rear in ceiling speakers. Can I use the sub woofer output on the Amp to drive a non Sonos sub woofer that will fit into the joinery or can I use a seperate Amp to drive the non Sonos sub woofer?

My playbar has just stopped responding to the Apple remote signal. The playbar IR sensor lights are not flicking on when the remote is used. The remote batteries are fine and the apple TV can be controlled.The playbar is connected to the TV via fibre audio cable.Again, the remote was controlling the playbar volume and just stopped working.If I try to setup a new remote to the playbar, the playbar does not register the IR signal.Hoping this is an easy fix and the IR debauchery on the playbar hasn't just stopped working. 

My sonos app is no longer shuffling my apple music library. This needs to be fixed asap. I have around 1000 songs in my library. I have had sonos for over 5 years and I have used sonos for music everyday. I use it with my Samsung galaxy s10+. Not being able to shuffle music is a deal breaker so if this doesn't get fixed, I will be looking into other sound systems. 

I have Sonos speakers in 3 rooms, currently if I ask Alexa to play music from my Amazon Music Unlimited it starts playing in that room only. I know I can manually add rooms via the app but this is tedious and the rest of the family can’t access the app.Surely a multi-room speaker system should be able to be configured to play on all speakers as a default. How do I configure my Sonos system so this happens?Thanks!

I have a new Sonnos Connect. I did a hard reset and the light is flashing green. I can’t get the app to recognize the Connect. It does not find it. The Connect it hard wired to the router. Not sure what to do. Just need to have the app find the Connect.

I have a 10-year old set of Sonos kit: Bridge, 2 * ZP Play 1 and 1 * ZP Play 3. I can't help feeling it's time to upgrade, and I'm interested in using the system for Alexa or Google Home voice interaction. The app (Sonos 1) has told me I can't remove the Bridge and connect to wifi directly (despite a perfectly reliable hub being in the same room), so I'd appreciate advice on what my options are, and on how well Sonos integrates with Google and Amazon. HiI have just been reading the Sonos page about reducing wireless interference and came across the bit about reducing interference from other devices that use WiFi.It mentions moving Sonos speakers away from ‘other wireless audio systems’. Does this mean another Sonos speaker? For example, if I have one of my speakers very near to another (which don’t typically play the same music at the same time), could this be an issue with drop outs?I only ask as I have one of my One SL surrounds very near to one of my stereo Fives in my lounge and I have actually been having the occasional drop out from both speakers when either having the TV on, or playing the Fives in stereo.Note - all my non portable speakers use SonosNet via a Boost.

I have a Sumsung tv and firestick pluged into on of the HDMI ports. I just bought an Arc and set it up and plugged it into the HDMI ARC port and the firestick is not working now at all, no on/off, no sound no anything. It was working fine witha samsung sound bar and optical. I can use the samung apps built into TV and the sound works fine though the ARC sound bar just nothing with the firestick. Help haha

I'm thinking of getting a Sonos Beam gen 2 soundbar but because of the specs the bar is too high and covers the IR receiver on my 2021 Sony TV X90J. Does anyone know any solution? Thanks.

Just an observation.The S1 app does not keep up with current song playing on S1 if you've invoked playback through Alexa.Is this the same on S2?.For me I have to kill the app and then restart for current song to be shown?.

With SmartThings Legacy Platform being discontinued at the end of Sept 2022.  Will Sonos devices continue to work within the SmartThings setup ?

Hi there,Recentely I bought the Sonos Beam gen 2 soundbar for my LG C1 tv. I connected it with a HDMI ARC cable and I made it surround with my two SonoS one's. The moment I wanted to experience the Dolby Atmos, I figured Netflix is only showing me Dolby Vision and no Dolby Atmos. The moment I unplug the soundbar Netflix is showing Dolby Atmos (since my tv supports this). I wonder if I am doing something wrong, but I thought Netflix would show me Atmos with this setup. Can somebody help me with this or explain why this isn't working? If you need any more information, let me know!Thank you in advance!

Anyone else notice their app acting oddly? When I open the app on my iPhone ( 13pro and up to date ), the small now playing bar that slides up at the bottom ( shows what you were playing - where - and has a play button ), opens and closes multiple times … usually about 5-10 times, before stabilizing. Curious if this is an app issue or something on my side ...

My general question is should I expect different speakers to be able to play more file formats, container types, etc than others?My Setup- Sonos One- Sonos Roam- Plex is serving audiobooks- Initiating Audiobook/s through the Sonos appMy Issue- I am working through all the Harry Potter books.- Had no issue until I got to Book 3 & 4.- When I try to play the Book on only the roam, I get an error "Unable to Play - Harry Potter.The co.. " or "Unable to Play Selected Item,  and skips until it hits a playable file.- however, I am able to play on the roam if I start one the One first, then join the Roam in after play begins.- If I deselect the One and play just on the roam, The playback will error out and skip until it hits a playable file.- reviewing each file using mediainfo, the only real differences I'm seeing are title and length - codecs, formats, channels, compression, are all the same between playable and unplayable files.Is there a place where I can access the logs these speakers

Hoping someone has some advice that can help. I’ve been dealing with Sonos customer service regarding my connectivity issues and they haven’t been able to solve my problem either.  I have a blend of older speakers - all of which were very expensive!   Play 5 - plugged in via Ethernet(2) Play 3(3) Play 1(2) ConnectConnect:Amp There are 9 “speakers” in total and I can hardly ever get them all to play at once without buffering, cutting out, or skipping songs.  I upgraded my router to a professional mesh system (3 placed throughout the house) and upgraded my Internet to fiber optic.  My home is 1,900 square feet and has 3(!) routers placed throughout it.  Connection speeds range from 250mbps - 350mbps. I find it very hard to believe that Internet is the problem.  And it is EVERY speaker that will cut out from time to time, including those that have nothing but a few feet of interference-free space between them.  My Play:5 is literally plugged into the router with an Ethernet cable and STIL

I recently purchased the Sonos Port and the Project T1 SB turntable so I could connect it to a set of move speakers and listen to vinyl.  Overall I’m happy with the sound quality, the stereo effect is quite good and it has the expected warmth and depth that comes with vinyl. There are however two things I’m trying to understand better to see if it’s worth adding.  connecting either a Bluetooth transmitter so I can use my Sony XM4 headphones with it, or buying a headphone pre-amp and wired set adding a DAC pre-ampOn number 1, I believe I can just connect this to the line out plugs on the port and either power a wired set or connect my Sony headphones to it, is that correct? Has anyone done this?On number 2, I’m not sure there’s any point in adding an external pre-amp or DAC component if I’m not connecting it to analog speakers, since it’s the port that streams to the Sonos Moves. Is my understanding right? Appreciate any guidance as I’m new to this type of stuff
