I just  updates from S1 to S2. Glad that I can turn off some ancient protocols on my NAS. But one thing seems weird to me. The S2 app itself seems super ugly. Maybe it’s only supposed to run on a phone? (I’m on an iPad).It’s strange to me that the player is this brownish color (see uploaded screen). And the player part doesn’t change with light mode and dark mode. It’s always this brown. Also, the library access pages seem kind of ugly. In the default skin they are like gray on gray. What’s up? Am I doing something wrong?  

I have been living in Japan for years and have had no problem using my America Amazon account to connect to Alexa, but I have decided that I would like to use my Japanese Amazon account for more relevant local information on my new Echo 15 screen.  In preparation for moving over, I deregistered and deleted all my Sonos devices from my American account and changed my Sonos address to my Japanese address.  But no matter what I try, the Sonos app continues to default to the NA url (North America I assume?) server for Amazon login.  My Japanese account obviously wasn’t recognized there.  I tried adding Alexa in the Sonos app using a new iPad with no Amazon apps installed hoping that the Sonos app would pick a server based on IP only, with no influence from other signed in apps, but that didn’t work.  Are there any other suggestions for forcing the Sonos app to a certain Amazon login page?

How do I use s1 app?

We have a collection of Sonos speakers that include: three OneSL, one Beam, two Play1, one Play 3 and one Sub.  While streaming from any service, Apple Music or Pandora for example, most of the time everything plays beautifully, but I have noticed that in the Kitchen, which has 2 OneSL paired, one or both will drop out and then kick back in a few moments later.  Since I am not always in the kitchen, I do not know how often nor have I found anything to reproduce the situation, though it continues to occur.  All speakers are WM: 0 via the wired Beam.While streaming from my Synology NAS I get frequent drop outs, or even some distorted sound and then it picks back up and plays fine after a few moments to a few minutes which creates for an unlistenable experience.Any suggestions?

I am about to build a garden room remote from my main house.  I will run 2 Cat6 cables from the house router to the room (as a contingency) but am wondering if I could connect one directly to my new Sonos amp while using the second cable to connect directly to a wireless access point to establish my wi-fi.  Any downsides to this and any recommendations for a new access point would be appreciated.  I assume if one of the Cat6 cables fail in the future that I could use a simple ethernet switch upstream of both the access point and Sonos Amp? 

I’m just about pulling my hair out with my Sonos and 77C14.I have a Playbase, two One’s and a 3rd Gen Sub running off Optical Out. Always works, never a problem until today. Nothing from any source will play in 5.1, says Stero/PCM in the Sonos App. Tried my Sky Q box, ATV 4K, and even the on TV streaming with the TV displaying that the output is in the correct DD 5.1 or Atmos etc.Tried different HDMI cases, just in case, tried a different Optical cable, still the problem persists. Read 1000 different solution and tried everything I can find/think of. Anyone have a clue please as it’s doing my head in. 

My venerable S1 ZP80s have suddenly stopped working when connected to my Nad amp via line out and phono.Generally,  I'm getting close to zero volume even with the amp volume at max. Resetting gets me normal sound for 5-10 seconds and then it cuts out or drops back to residual levels. This is happening with two different ZP80s. The amp and speakers are proven to work,  I've tried different phono cables and different amp ports and done multiple factory resets. No joy. Any ideas,  or have my gen 1s finally been bricked? Updates are all done. 

I recently purchased the Sonos Ray Soundbar for my family’s Samsung TV. Frustratingly the soundbar won’t recognise the Samsung One remote to change the volume unless I’m standing right next to it (If I’m not within 30cm of the soundbar it won’t change the volume). I’ve followed the sonos guide on setting up the Samsung One remote, I’ve tried setting up the soundbar under a different brand as some other threads mentioned and I’ve changed the batteries on the remote and nothing has fixed this. Is there any solution to this frustrating problem?

I bought a Symfonisk from IKEA and was stunned to see the setup process asking for activating location services. Especially when it already connects to the device through bluetooth.I’ve already filed for a return but if there’s a way to do the setup without location services I’d cancel it…That’s a shame that they make it compulsory; I have only one device and it makes no technical sense at all. Tere

My Symfonisk bookshelf would not connect wired or WIFI. I followed the procedures and suggestion on this forum and still did not work. It would tell me it would connect to the temporary SONOS network and then says it cannot connect. I reset the system and now it would not recognize the device. I have my iPhone next to the speaker and still cannot find it. It is a pain the rear tryin to ge this speaker setup.

Why doesn't sonos allow for their sub to connect to their Amp? I want a Amp a pair of in ceiling speakers and a wireless sonos sub.

Hello,id like to purchase and add more Sonos Ones too my setup. I’m stuck on S1 because I have multiple connect amps.Sonos’ official compatibility list says the currently sold One gen 2 works on both S1 and S2. However the shop FAQ for the One gen 2 answers “will it work with S1?” by ambiguously stating “it requires the latest version of the app”This makes it sound like you need S2. Anyone know the truth? I assume it will work but it’s just more unscrupulous pressure to throw out our old systems and buy all new devices

Wanting to create a mini home theatre but I'm not sure how to connect the Sonos amp to the arc. I know I can group them through the app, but I'm looking to sync them like the sub syncs to the arc. Any tips?

To the old-schoolers out there like myself clinging on to v8.4 (for reasons of old hardware), it seems finally to have been killed by MacOS Monterey (at least on the desktop app) as Sonos now longer responds: I am restricted to the iOS app only and am kicking myself for updating my OS. If anyone knows of a setting or hack to bring it back to life, please let me know. My 3rd party MBS app still works (although not properly).If I were to update my Sonos version does anyone know which is the latest version of the system to definitely work with an S1 (not S2)? Do I even have a choice?Thanks! 

Hi team, what is the policy at Sonos regarding new Sonos ONE speakers and S1 app?I just bought my 5th speaker (Sept 2022) a Sonos ONE Gen 2 and when adding it, it says it works only with S2.Is this a way to force your first customers to move to S2 and replace a perfectly working old amp which requires the S1 app?PLEASE do not answer you are sorry about this, just provide a clear answer. Thanks

My sub won,t power up.  No light and is listed as missing by the app.  Tried different power outlets, leaving unplugged overnight etc. Any hopes here or is it dead?  If so that’s pretty poor for an expensive device only a couple of years old.

I’m looking to get a subwoofer for my beam gen 2, but I keep reading about the mini sub Sonos will allegedly release later this year, according to ARS Technica:https://arstechnica.com/gadgets/2022/08/want-a-cheaper-sonos-subwoofer-youll-have-to-wait-even-longer/This system will be placed in a room that’s about 10’x10’, so the gen 3 at full price seems overkill, but what are my options? If I get a used gen 2 at a good price, then maybe it’ll be worth it.  I’d like to get a mini sub version, but who knows when or even if it’ll actually release. What do you all suggest? 

Some of my Spotify playlists stopped showing up in Sonos. I signed out and in, un-authorized and re-authorized and now NONE of my playlists show. How do I fix this?

Bought a Samsung QE55QN85B 4 weeks ago and connected to a Sonos Beam Gen2 bought on 6 Aug. Both devices have the latest updates. HDMI cable supplied with Sonos is ok and connected to HDMI eARC. No issues streaming to Sonos from iPhone but sound from TV drops. Have tried every combination of switching off and restarting TV/Sonos, have gone through every set up option on TV. Tv shows output to Sonos Beam. Sonos app shows it thinks it’s connected to the TV and adjusting volume on TV shows same adjustments on Sonos app. However there is no sound from the Beam. Best I’ve achieved is to get sound from You Tube on TV but as soon as I changed to Disney+ sound was jittery and then stopped altogether. Have phoned John Lewis for technical support for the TV, reset the TV and redone the connections. For about 3 minutes had sound from the Beam but then stopped. John Lewis are now exchanging the TV as we are assuming it’s a fault with the TV. However I will post again if the issue is not resolved wh

In the auto trueplay info it quotes:If you’ve added the Google Assistant to Move, Auto Trueplay will be disabled when Move is in Bluetooth mode Is this also the case for Alexa? Or when voice control is turned on? Or is this only specific to Google Assistant? PLS HELP LOL

I saw that I can setup surround with SL One with Beam, but with two speakers...not one.I can tied them together or via the play/pause button, but Id rather have them auto connected.Is it possible to setup both as speakers for my tv?

I have set up an TV in my bedroom. The room is large and I would like speakers closer to my bed so I don’t wake up chidren. Can I use a Ray soundbar turned low/off and have two One speakers next to the bed (left and right)? Thank you

CBC Service problem: For the past couple of days, any CBC program I try vis the service in Sonos is "no longer available." Streaming works fine on the CBC Radio and Music app, but not via Sonos. Any tips?
