I have a Sonos Arc and recently bought two One SLs to add as surrounds. I can get the One SLs added to my Sonos app but when I go to add them as surrounds, it errors out telling me that “There is a problem adding your surrounds. Check the network connection and make sure your products are powered on. Try again.”  If I quit the start up, it ends up saying “Living Room (+?+?)” on my rooms. Any help?

Hi! I have an Arc and 2 Ikea speaks as surrounds.The setup works brilliantly aside from this issue of the TV audio cutting out for a split second randomly (but frequently), or skipping or popping. It's almost like packet loss on a HDMI connection!I’ve scoured through the various topics and this seems to rear its head quite a lot but the solution is a bit of a mystery so hoping for some individual help.For context the Arc is connected to a 2017 Samsung TV via HDMI.Thanks!

I have a large(ish) Sonos system locked down at 8.4 (because I still use CR100 controllers). The bridge has finally died so I have temporarily wired one of my ZP Amps as a bridge. Is it possible to buy a boost and use it, or will it need me to upgrade the system version (which obviously I cannot do).I don’t want to accidentally trash the CRs by adding a component that needs a higher software version.

I have had this problem since I purchased the Sonos Arc about a month ago and it is getting very frustrating.I have a TCL 75C727 TV with the Sonos Arc connected in the eArc HDMI port and stream everything through an Nvidia Shield TV Pro. The TV is set to passthrough audio.When I first start up everything the Sonos Arc is outputting the correct audio formats.For Disney+ the app will show Dolby Atmos and Dolby Digital Plus 5.1 correctly depending on media.For Netflix it is Dolby Digital Plus 5.1 and for Youtube it is Stereo PCM.However once I turn off the Nvidia Shield and TV and turn everything on in a few minutes the only format that works correctly is the Dolby Atmos. All the other formats show up as either Dolby Multichannel PCM 5.1 or Dolby Multichannel PCM 2.0.I have tried powering down the TV and the Shield but the problem only resolves when I power down the Sonos Arc and restart it and then the audio formats are correct again, until the next time I want to watch something.Has any

The front four blinking lights won’t turn off. I had it plugged in on the charger stand for over two hours. Held the infinity button for over two minutes. Nothing. I’m still getting the orange blinking lights.I read other posts with the same issues, but no definite answer on how to fix. What now?

Logitech pushed out a firmware update at the end of March that broke the volume adjustment on my Sonos system.  It takes about 10 presses of the volume on the remote before anything registers.  I was hoping that Logitech would push out another firmware update to fix the issue but I am starting to think that is not the case.  Has anyone else found a solution to the problem or a better alternative?  Thanks!

But, 1 second audio dropouts occur whilst using either the Nintendo or the PlayStation. The dropouts occur every minute or so for 1 second.  I’ve tried turning everything off and back on etc and disconnecting all devices except one of the consoles and the beam but the issue remains. Any help greatly appreciated, a bit gutted spending all that money for something I can’t use whilst playing games. 

HelloHave not had any issues before pairing my Beam (with TV source) to Play:1’s / Roam etc.However now when I try and do it I get constant drop outs on any of the paired speakers. I’ve tried several Play:1’s and a Roam to no avail. I contacted Sonos support, sent diags and they came back saying that TV Source is unsupported? WTF? Whats the point of a Beam if the input from TV is not supported.Anyway, any suggestions? I’m on 14.14 and this happened sometime between the end of July and end of August.Thanks

My Roam SL continues to disappear from my Sonos app or shows offline. Sometimes I have to try multiple times to turn it off and back on. Then it works fine for awhile. I disabled sleep mode and it still goes offline. I have a NetGear Orbi wifi setup. I don’t have any issues with other Sonos speakers, just the Roam SL.

Hi everobody,i sold my receiver and my Klipsch speakers. But i kept my turntable, my phono preamp, my Sonos connect, my Sonos play 1 and 3. I wanna play my turntable in my speakers thru my connect. I read this article When i had my receiver, my turntable was grounded to my preamp and my preamp was grounded to my receiver.So my question his: do i have to ground my preamp to my connect? Because there his no ground on the connect. Thank you.

i have Sonos Move but because of my OS (12+ on iphone 6) have to downgrade it to S1 in order to use it. I understand this means certain Move features may be lost but can’t find any info about what they might be. Anyone know? Another related question - if I downgrade to S1 can I then upgrade it back to S2 if I get the suitable OS (14+)?

I listen to a radio station called Adagio FM using MyTuner Radio.It has a sister station called Entranced FM but it is not on MyTuner Radio (nor TuneIn). How can I listen to it’s audio stream on Sonos?http://adagio.fm/http://entranced.fm/

Arc runs abnormally hot even at volumes lower than moderate

Often get this message on my iphone while listening to music! This happens when network is working fine, wifi is good on phone and other devices, etx - nothing changed, then, “unable to connect.” And I can't stop the music or adjust volume. Fix is to reboot everything over and over. System is Play:1

Hi AllI have a dedicated home theatre room in our home and am setting up the surround sound with sonos.i will buy an arc, 2 play 1’s for rears and the sub.  The room has a cat5 connection to a router which connects to the modem.I am wondering how best to set up the wifi in that room as a dedicated new network just for the home theatre components.  I dont want it to connect to the rest of the home.I am not very savy when it comes to wifi.  I was thinking of setting up a WAP in the room which connects to the router and will broadcast a dedicated wifi signal : named Theatre room.  Then have all the sonos products in the room use this wifi network.  Will that work? any recommendations on which WAP to use?  is there a better setup that i should consider? Thanks for your help.

I have moved into a new house that has 2 outdoor in-cieling speakers (6 ohm) and 2 external speakers (8 ohm) are already in place and wired back to a central point. I am not sure what the last guy used to power but I would like to use the Sonos AMP.Can I wire a 6 and 8 ohm speakers in parallel? Same total impedance on left and right?    

My music library is located on a NAS (Synology) - it recently stopped updating the entire library. I’ve deleted the path and relinked it multiple times and it still updates the same incomplete list of files — there doesn’t seem to be any rhyme or reason to what it indexes and what it doesn’t, for instance there are some bands that I have on compilations and on albums, and their tracks from the compilations come through just fine but their albums don’t, even though the metadata is very similar. If I add new files they will sometimes show up in the index, sometimes not. I have about 40K tracks, so much lower than the 65K limit, and most of them are not recorded at unusually high bitrates. Does anyone have any suggestions? 

I’ve suddenly lost sound on my Beam Gen2. I was watching some content on my Apple TV 4K and all was OK, but found I couldn't adjust the volume using the Apple TV remote, when pressing +/_ the volume didn't change and the text ‘Home Theatre -/+’ didn’t appear on the TV screen. However I could adjust the volume when using my Sky Q remote and the volume text did appear on my TV screen.When I finished watching the programme I got no sound at all so I turned off the Apple TV 4K, and found I have no sound via Sky Q either. When pressing the volume buttons on my TV remote and Sky Q remote I get the volume text appear on my TV screen, but nothing happens, no sound at all.When using the SONOS app on my iPhone I can slide the volume bar along but still no sound from my Beam and no volume text appears.When I ask “What volume is Sonos” she speaks back to me via the Beam saying “This device is at volume 1”.I have pressed the volume buttons on top of the Beam but nothing. I have a solid white light 

I set up a new Sonos system today and am having problems with getting sound from the Sub.  My system consists of the following:--Two Sonos Ones connected by wifi--Arc connected by wifi--Sub paired with the Arc and connected to the router via ethernetFrom the beginning, I cannot get sound to play out of the sub. I have tried all the usual remedies including resetting the router, powering off all Sonos devices, factory resetting the sub and reinstalling, and switching the Sub connection from wireless to wried.  I checked by sliding the sub bass level back and forth on bass heavy content. None of these steps have helped.This is the second Sonos system I have set up in the last 6 months and I had the same problem with my first system. When I installed a Boost via ethernet to my router, on my other system, that solved the problem. I do not have a Boost on my current system, but could acquire one if that is the solution (although it seems odd to have to have a Boost for the Sub to work).Is i

I have some old components, so can’t upgrade to S2. On the S1 app, when trying to ‘add a service’, I get a message “App update needed.” Does “update” mean upgrading to S2, or is it just a new version of S1? In other words, how do I add additional services to S1 without updating to S2?

Picked up a Gen 2 lamp yesterday.  Can someone confirm if it is S2 only or can be downgraded to S1 to work with my other speakers please? It is not clear on the compatibility list, there is no Gen 1 or 2 noted against the lamp. I don’t want to set it up if I need to return it. ThanksChris

Trying to set up the ARC soundbar via WiFi, but when the app is trying to locate it my phone's Bluetooth crashes and won't continue the set up. I've tried resetting everything, same thing happens every time. Any help would be greatly appreciated 👍

When trying to add Audible app there is a request for a Sonos code. I have a Play 1. Where would I find the code on the Play 1

Hi,  we have had Sonia speakers for many years.  We have moved to a larger house and looking to add 3 of Boosts in the house.  I have an iPhone 13 running ios15 which is fully up to date.  The Sonos app is also up to date.  when I go into the app there is no option to ‘add boost’.  Anyone have any ideas as to how I resolve this please?  many thanks 

I have upgraded my TV sound system and now have a redundant playbar and a pair of play 1s. I have configured as a surround sound system in another room.Is this the best way of using them for audio?
