Hi, I’ve got a question regarding the Sonos port and how to connect it to my surround sound speaker system and receiver components.  But before that I should explain what I am trying to achieve inside and outside of my home. In my living/dinning rooms I intend to install a single One Sl speaker in each room which is an open area. In my family room I intend to install an ARC sound bar and two One Sl speakers as surround speakers to my 4K LG TV with an existing blue ray player. On lower level in my playroom I have an existing 5.1 surround sound speakers along with two Yamaha speakers on zone 2 connected to an out going 15 year old receiver. I also have a 4K Vizio TV , a Fluance phono and a 4K blue ray player I plan to purchase. I am planning to upgrade to the Onkyo sr 6100 receiver and add Atmos speakers.  I know I need to get a pre amp for the phono and a Sonos port for this system to work. Hi there, I have a question here. My Sonos app on my Imac and on my Iphone is connecting to the wrong system. There is another system on the same WIFI network that I am on and my Sonos app on my Imac and on my Iphone is connecting sometimes to that other system instead of mine. Is there a way to block the connection to the other system? I understand that if my app doesn’t make the connection to my closer system after a few seconds for any reason, it starts to look for any systems on the network and connects to that other one. But I was looking for a way to block the other system completely so the app would continue to search for my system for a longer time if it’s needed. I already removed the other system in the preferences but it seems to put it back if it’s the only one available.Thanks in advance for your answerChristian

Why is it that when I sign in and try to buy a product it's listed in euro's and not in GBP

I have 2 amps on the same network and different rooms. When I turn on one TV , the other TV turn on too. The room are far so it’s not signal from remote control turning on 2 tv’s and if I turn of amps this issue don’t happen 

does in ceiling speaker have to be cabled ?

I have a holiday rental property with Sonos speakers, and I use a several iPhone SEs in guided access mode as controllers, sat permanently on charging docks.it seems if the iPhone battery is allowed to run down, or it is force restarted, then guided access is now turned off.Is there a way to ensure guided access stays active and guests cannot ‘fiddle’ ?

Hi did a search but couldn't find this topic. Very basic question but my app can't connect to either the amp or arc soundbar for setup. The green light is flashing on both. Tried while connected to my regular wifi and also wifi 2.4 GHz. The wifi signal is fine at the location. Eg my TV streams things fine here. Any suggestions or mistakes I'm making?Thanks!   

I have a Sonos arc and sub and was wondering what the best placement for the rear Sonos one speakers should be. Position A, B, or C? Or maybe even another location? Do you want them directly behind you or more towards the sides? Should they be angled towards the seating position or pointed straight towards the screen? Also what is the best height to mount them? The couch is 15 feet long along the back so pretty large. 

In a room on the smaller size, I have a Beam paired with two Fives as surrounds. Mostly use for music (probably 70-30 music to TV). Will the Sub Mini add any enhancement to this setup? Or do I have to go for the original Sub?Thanks. 

Hi! I have the Beam gen 2, sub gen 3 and two Ones as surrounds. I much prefer the way music sounds when played in a 2.1 setup (ones + sub) rather than the whole 5.1 system. Is there a simple way to switch from 5.1 to 2.1 in the app within the room? I’ve seen topics on this matter from several years ago where the sonos forum staff replied that it would be forwarded to developers. I can’t be the only one that wants this functionality?

Diag 1523830504 Playbase with 2 lamp surrounds  Surrounds drop off restarting play brings them back or turning them off /on on the app  Is this a. Network issue ? Have a boost and other speakers wired as well so in sonosnet mode   

HiI have changed phones, moving from iPhone 12 to 13. Although the new phone is linked to my home Wi-Fi, the Sonos app says it is not and I can’t therefore access my Sonos system. Grateful for any help.

My Sonos amp suddenly lost all power. It is two years old. The same thing happened to my 1st generation also, which lasted a lot longer than two years. I am beginning to loose confidence in Sonos. 

Recently I tried to connect to my Play1 speaker but was unable to find it on the casting menu.Went into the Sonos app to try and readd the network, go through the steps but I’m stuck on “updating” whenever I try to add it.Works on Ethernet but cannot get past this screen when trying to connect the WiFi. Tried restarting all devices, moving things closer together etc. but nothing.Any ideas?

Hi,A few months ago I bought a subwoofer from the Sonos website which turned out to be defective. The return got approved, and I sent the defective unit to Sonos’ service center, as requested. According to the tracking information provided by UPS, the unit arrived at the service center on the 4th of May. Since then it's been 8 weeks of almost complete radio silence from Sonos and I do not know what is going on with my return and refund.I've been in contact with the customer service multiple times during the last 5 weeks, and they have been unable to do anything about it. I finally got a reply from someone from Sonos Customer Experience - Level 2, 1 ½ weeks ago but other than a pretty generic “I’m sorry for your experience” email I haven't heard anything from them.Does anyone know if there is someone that I can contact to get this resolved as soon as possible? I’ve tried their chat, calling them, emailing them as well as emailing the ceo, which is when the person from Sonos Customer Exp

I currently have a Sonos Connect that is wired to my stereo amp & speakers. (There are other Sonos items in other rooms but the Connect is the only Sonos component in the sitting room.)If I buy a Sub Mini, will I be able to pair it with the Connect?

I have had a beta account for several years, however after testing and participating in the program for a considerable period of time, I have received no invites or participation requests in over a year! Recently purchase the Echo Show 8 and a new Sonos 5; what is the best way to connect the two and if it is by micro USB and 3.5mmmm jack, where did you get a long cable from?  I’m based in Australia

I bought an Arc and I want to know directly from Sonos what happens to the speaker arrangement inside the Arc when I connect the 2 One’s? I have heard that if the surround channels are taken over by the One’s, it frees up two of the Arcs surround speakers to drive more bass response? Is that an accurate understanding of how the software sorts itself out? thanks! If not please explain what happens with the two One’s.  Thanks again!

hi everyonei had to move in another city as a teacher, i took my play 5 with me, i dont think i’ll rehister to an internet provider. Do you think it is possible to use my device on the shared internet connection on my phone? I tested it many times but seems like it is impossible :(

Hi In my lounge I have a Playbase and two play:1’s for surround sound.  I love the set up for movies/TV etc. It all works great. When playing music I have set Sonos use all three (i.e. not as surround sound) as you should.I think it sounds pretty good for music as I assume (?) that the Playbase  takes up most of the bass load (and more?)But what would be a next step up for music playback, or is there one that is even worth it. I could swap the play 1:s for Sonos Fives but that would be expensive (and can I use Play fives as surround speakers or would I have to keep the play1:s?) and would they work with the Playbase in music setting? I could add a Sub to the system but again how much would that be a step up with the Playbase already in the room? And please note I am happy with the PlayBase for movies etc, I have no desire to chase more Bass, it’s loud enough, I am more interested here in improving Music playback.Any help appreciated, I do like the play 1:s + Playbase for music but it’s

Hi, I have a pretty simple issue which became complex enough to ask the forum. I have few SONOS speakers from IKEA (shelf and lamps) and want to connect them to my TCL TV (not Roku). The aim is to use a speaker from TV and SONOS (not SONOS only). I tried to find speakers via same WiFi - that didn`t worked. I tried to connect SONOS speakers via Apple TV (airplay) - that didn`t work, and as far as I read in that case you can only connect SONOS speakers, but TV speaker won`t work together. I can buy BEAM or RAY SONOS speaker - but as far as I`ve read I won`t be able to use my TV speaker together with other SONOS speakers. So, what is the simplest (and cheapest) solution to use in the same time fabulous TV speaker with Dolby Atmost, with IKEA SONOS speakers as rear speakers (without delay between TV and SONOS speakers) ?

Hi all.So I've had the Sonos Arc bar working perfectly with my Samsung 55” QN95A Neo QLED 4K for over a year.Recently the the TV has started connecting to TV speakers and the green light (or any light) no longer illuminates on the arc.It's connected via hdmi and arc port on the samsung connect box. I've tried replacing the hdmi cable from the sonos arc to connect box. Power cycled all devices, hard reset the arc bar. Deleted the sonos app, reconnected it all several times and it simply won't connect. Removed all other devices atrached to the conbect box.On the arc app on my it gives an error about can't connect check if other devices interfering, or something like that - when trying to connect the bar and TV. Hdmi Arc option is greyed out within Samsung sound settings. Tried manual configuration options within TV settings, simply can't connect the 2 devices!Is anyone able to offer further things to try or advice please.Much appreciated.Mark.

Two simple questions:1.- Is it possible to combine a Paybase with a Submini?2.- Can a roam speakers be integrated also in the lan of speakers that I now have? Can I use a roam speaker from the sonos app and joining it with other speakers e.g. one that i have in the kitchen?ThanksICF
