The other posts have been closed, even though this issue seems to be widespread.After installing a new router, my Sonos connects but my phones will connect to the app.We have changed the channels to 1, 6 , or 11 and set the wifi to 2.4.I have contacted support and was given this ticket number *********.We can change channels on the router, and the phone will connect for about 20 minutes, then we have to change to another channel to get the phone to connect for another 20 minutes.We have three android phones and two Iphones and all have the same outcome. I have tried resetting the app and resetting the router a dozen or more times. I have tried switching to Sonos one and have tried drinking wine, but nothing works after five days now.Has anyone resolved this issue? Is there something special I need to set on the router.?  Moderator edit: removed case number

Hi Again I hope everyone is enjoying their day…I have 2 questions 1 My tv has only got the following ports, a few hdmi ports one optical and one lan network cable (no vga) so am wondering how to connect to my Port 2 what is the digital out cable as I thought it was an optical connection but it is not Actually I’m very confused now as I have disconnected my boost and port and the system is still working fine??? Was I sold the initial connect and bridge which are not needed as it runs absolutely fine with my routerModerator edit: combined posts

This has happened to me before and the S2 app is a bit clunky when adding or upgrading devices. I just upgraded my Home theatre setup by upgrading the sound bar to the Arc. i added it and also added the Sub so now my room is called Family Room (+sub). issue is that when i go to add the surrounds (2x One SLs) it wont let me as they are connected to the old Room now called Family Room (?).  i need to somehow delete that room and/or remove the One SLs for that room so i can add them to the Bar and Sub.  any advice would be greatly appreciated. Would be great if Sonos would work on making the S2 controller more intuitive and straightforward. Patrick

I am having trouble connecting my two Play 3 speakers to my new WiFi wirelessly. I don't want to have trailing cables so don't want to use ethernet cables.My new Arc has connected perfectly well, but I have reset my Play 3 speakers and they won't connect 

Have just bough Beam 2 have read about adding subwoofers etc. I have a spare pare of Ruark M2 speakers I originally used on a desktop & then on a TV but would like to add them to the Beam 2 if possible.  I dont particularly want surround sound, just more accptable for playing music.  I have seen how to add Sonos speakers but dont want to buy any more speakers & would prefer to make use of these as I like their sound.  Could I add them as rear speakers & if so, how would I add them please.  I am a novice so not entirely sure how to do this.  Thanks

I just bought the arc to replace my Denon surround and home theatre PC setup.  I have everything connected.  Pc to hdmi in on the tv with the hdmi (arc) On the tv going to the Sonos Arc. All appears well except I can’t seem to choose Atmos in windows spatial sound.  It just doesn’t exist in the drop-down but the licence says it’s active. What have I missed here. 

HiIs it possible to use the ethernet embedded in HDMI for internet connectivity - i.e. can the Beam (or my LG C2 TV) bridge its ethernet to my home router, meaning that I don’t need two physical connections? Thanks in advance

I have Sonos s2 app on my system with 3 sonos ones, and 2 roams.  When I try to search for music on the app, I can usually only type a few characters before the text is deleted.  It seems to be related to the search function on the app. It's as if when the app is trying to search while I'm typing, as it's returning the results, it automatically selects the text I'm typing, which is then overwritten by the next character.  Sometimes I get a couple characters to stay, and they are highlighted (selected).  If I don't tap in the search bar to unselect the text, if I type another character it deletes/overwrites the text.   I've seen other posts about this, but they did not have a solution. I use the S1 app at work, no issues. Very disappointed in the S2 "upgrade"

How do I get a wake up chime with Sonos voice control. I don’t want to use Alexa or Google assistant.

I have 2 stereo pairs of speakers in the bedroom. Is it possible to name one set Bedroom Bookshelf and one Bedroom Lamp? At the Moment where I go to airplay I see Bedroom and Bedroom, making it a pain to pick the speaker I want to use. Thanks

Hi, I have an arc that I use for both TV and music via airplay.  I tend to listen to my music much more softly than the TV.  Airplay controls volume by changing the volume of the whole arc, so when I go to watch TV, the arc volume is set very low, and I need to go to the sonos app to make it louder.  Is there a way to make it remember the volume I like to use for the TV, so that it switches to that automatically when I’m using the TV?  So I don’t have to open the sonos app and change it each time I want to watch tv after I’ve used airplay for music?  

On my tv setup with lg oled and Apple TV, in order to get Atmos sound each time I use the tv, I have unplug the Arc and plug back in..then everything works fine until the next time i watch tv… any idea how to fix this?

I’m running 2x Sonos devices from Mac and iPhone.  Both have old operating systems.  Everything was fine until the recent Sonos update.  Now I can only run one device at a time from either iPhone or Mac, and am unable to tie the two together as a system.  Any ideas how I can fix this without the expense of upgrading both Mac and iPhone. 

Everything was working fine and then suddenly sound issues.  Play at connected to TV with digital audio cable.   Suddenly it stopped working,  after review it’s working but to hear the tv sound has to be up to almost max.   Remove tv and play music l, it’s normal nonissue.   I check settings and rest and same. I’ve tried Dolby, arc and standard. Same behavior. Check the cable it’s in secure when I pull out of playbar it had the red light  any thoughts as to what’s going on?  

So I have a gen1 Beam & I've just changed my TV from the Philips 50PUS8204 to the Philips 65OLED707. It's currently connected via an HDMI port with arc.I've noticed that when I'm watching Sky then switch to an app via the android TV home screen there's no sound. I need to use the remote to put the TV into standby then turn it on again to get the sound to switch over. I’d guess the issue is in switching from an HDMI source to something powered via the Android TV portion although I never had this issue with my previous Philips Android TV. Any ideas on a resolution or what could be causing it?

I have just set up my new Arc, and I am using my two Play 3's as rear speakers. They work perfectly when playing music through Spotify. Yet when using the TV, sound only comes through the Arc Can someone please let me know what I am doing wrong     

Hi,My first post. Sonos has a page - Sonos Power Consumption While Idle, is there a similar page for the Symfonisk products? Also does SonosNet usage have a large impact on standby consumption? I only stumbled onto SonosNet today, I wonder why Sonos/IKEA don’t promote its use?

The Pocket Casts service is enabled in my Sonos controller app. However, when searching the Sonos app for a podcast, there are no results from Pocket Casts.Is there something which needs enabling or is this a restriction within the service provided by Pocket Casts?(Pocket Casts is connected and working. I can open the Pocket Casts service under "Browse" on the Sonos app and play podcasts from there.)

I have just signed up to their 5G Home Broadband, which I am quite happy with, apart from the fact I cannot get my 4 Play 1’s and Playbase connected to it.  I can get one Play 1 to work if I use an ethernet cable, but as soon as I disconnect it it is no longer detected.   I have called Sonos who said I need to contact Three to sort it out because they couldn’t, so I called them who said I needed to call Zyxel.  I called Zyxel who won’t deal with it as Three have changed the firmware of the router.  Has anyone had similar issue and got the speakers to work?

I have a beam gen 2 and sub gen 2. I am wanting to connect some 3rd party ceiling speakers for surround sound. Is this possible using a connect:amp s2?TIA

Sonos MOVE When the speaker is switched off, the microphone LED on top lights up white and after that the speaker cannot be switched on.I tried a factory reset, but it didn't respond to that either!What could be wrong?

I’m trying to hide my cables and want a setup without visible wires.  I have 2 sonos ones at both right and left of my bookshelves with a wall mounted TV.  I was told by a sonos reseller that in order to connect my sonos ones to my Samsung frame 2020, I need a sonos amp.  I have connected my sonos amp to my Samsung frame box (hdmi eArc) but no volume comes up. And I can’t connect it to my sonos ones.  Please help! 

My house is a mix of beams and I also have a sonos one and play5. I use Alexa on only one device, the Sonos one, in the garage. I wanted to replace my Amazon echo studio in the kitchen with a play5 so I could airplay, but my wife is so used to the studio I thought “connect a dot to it, and it will be like the studio.” So far, not so much. The dot is hard wired to the play5. I want to just be able to say, “Alexa, play blah on Spotify” and have it work. No sound comes out. Not out of the echo, nor out of the play5. If I unplug the echo, it comes out of its own speaker, but it’s not playing where I want it to.  I feel stupid. Hopefully someone has some wisdom for me. I just want my music, and AirPlay. 

I have the sonos play one. I’m currently using the sonos 1 app, I’ve been told different answers about my compatibility to upgrade to the sonos 2 app. Has anyone here upgraded their sonos play one to the new sonos 2 app??? Is it compatible????

My Sonos Bar + 2 Speakers + 1 bass was installed by a profesional in my previous apartment. When I sold it all my furniture included my Sonos has been in a storage for 2 years. Now I have a new appartment and I want to reinstall the system but I hav no idea haw to do it. How can I ge a help; somebody coming to my place or guiding me by phone A big thank you in advance fo any advice
