I am trying to find out if it’s even possible to find out the battery level without WiFi connected. The app does not let you see anything about the device without WiFi. This is really a huge drawback for a portable speaker.  anyone know?

When I open the app, it only wants to connect wirelessly.  How do I bypass that step?

Does anyone know if this would work?  I’ve got 2 x Play:5s set up as a stereo pair. One on the left next to a turntable, one 3 metres to the right next to my telly.  The turntable is to be connected to the left side speaker via RCA to line in. I’m wondering if I could connect the tv similarly to the right hand speaker at the same time.  ps sorry if I’ve posted this incorrectly in the forum. 

Bought a roam on holiday but can not configure on Hotel wifi so can not use it. Can i Get it to play on Bluetooth without configure to app ? Can it be configure over cellphone 4g ? Without wifi ? Im on holliday now and can not use The device 

Hi everyone.  This seems more of a handshake issue vs the Arc itself, but hoping someone else has experience with this issue.Streaming over a 2nd gen Apple TV 4K → LG OLED 65CX → Sonos Arc (+ sub and Amp with 3rd party surrounds) via eARC.  No issues with Atmos or anything like that.  Issue I’m having is when I start streaming a show, TV indicates Dolby Vision has kicked in and show starts, but there is no audio.  I’d say it happens 40% of the time and is more frequent when the streaming service begins to autoplay a new episode after the current one has ended.  So far I’ve noticed this when streaming over AppleTV+ and Netflix.  Seems to be isolated to shows encoded for Dolby Vision/Atomos.  My only workaround at the moment is to back out to the menu then restart the show.One other thing I’ve noticed is when the Apple TV comes on, the screen blanks for a second while it switches to Dolby Vision.  A few seconds later it does this a second time which it never did with my old receiver-base

We have a Sonos Amp in our home, with pairs of indoor and outdoor speakers (not Sonos Brand), hard wired to the Sonos Amp, and we have no major issues playing music through these speakers, via streaming services and the Sonos App on our phones.For the context of this post, leave the outdoor speakers out of the conversation. This pertains to the in-ceiling speakers we have in our family room and wanting to set them up as surround speakers for our TV.We purchased a Sonos Beam Gen 2 cause we were told that we could connect the Beam to the Amp, and be able to setup the indoor (in ceiling) speakers which are controlled by the Amp as the surround speakers in our family room (we understand the Beam is the front center, left and right front speakers). The Sonos App recognizes the Amp from the Beam 2, and we see the link to “add surrround” in the Sonos App, but… the App says it fails to complete the surround setup, after several minutes. We then checked the App, it appears that it DID complete

Some icons for the radio stations in "My Sonos" are blank.When I play a station with a blabk icon, the correct icon appears in the darkened bar at the bottom of the screen. So I presume the icon is available.Refreshing the app’s cache doesn’t help. How can I get the missing icons?(Background info: Android app, version 14.20.1, Dec 2022)

Sonos Arc drops audio frequently when playing media from Android TV where audio source is stereo.No issues with netflix app when source is dolby atmos. TV is new Philips OLED807 2022 model, with latest firmware. Connected via eArc port. Already tried disconnecting power to tv for few minutes.Tried both Sonos supplied HDMI cable and brand new expensive HDMI 2.1 cable. anyone with the magic solution? Diagnosis number 1890521882

Hi - there’s nothing on the forum which deals with this question where (1) using an LG OlED 2022 TV and (2) the Sonos Playbase. user interface has changed and none of the supposed “fixes” are working. Been spending hours reading various forums… has anyone got this to work? not sure if it’s an IR issue as the LG has a magic remote or some issue trying to get the TV to talk to the sound at directly…help please!!

I recently upgraded my S1 Sonos system to S2 (removing two original Play:5 speakers, and adding a half dozen Ikea Symfonisk bookshelf speakers). Everything was, and still is, connected to SonosNet through a Boost wired to my router that I’ve had for some time. Everything works fine after upgrading the app and adding the new speakers, and all is still on SonosNet. To help ensure extended range and prevent dropouts, I purchased a second Boost last week to add wirelessly halfway through the house. However, I cannot get it set up. I plug it in, choose Settings: System: Add Product in the S2 app for Android, make sure Bluetooth is on on my phone, and then wait for the Boost light to turn from white to flashing green (set up) before I press the Bluetooth button on the Boost to make it change to flashing orange (connecting). The S2 app on my phone never recognizes it as it scans for products to add. The past two weeks I have been (mostly) unable to use a radio channel as source for alarm in the morning (from the Danish national radio “DR LYD”, but also using the same channels from TuneIn). I thought of connection issues, although most of my speakers are wired, but even after connecting the affected zone directly to a switch the problem persists. Other zones using playlists as source (Apple Music) works fine on both wired and wireless zones.  I suspect that the stream will timeout and give me the chime so I would guess that the issue lies with the connection to the source as connection to the speakers looks solid (diagnostic 111600515) when looking at the connection matrix in the speaker diagnostic on its IP.  I can also see the trying to plays the source manually takes a while to start - maybe the alarm is less patient and cuts to chime faster?could someone from Sonos maybe check if the connection to “DR Lyd” has an issue or if the alarm feature is a tad to fast to call timeout?

Hello, I bought a Symfonisk from Ikea. Unfortunately, I can't play YouTube music in the Sonos app. I have a premium membership and it still says "No withdrawals available" or “Cannot browse music”.Don't know where the problem is?Thank youCatherine

As title a - I have the above Sonos speakers in a surround sound setup. Would swapping my Beam Gen1 with a Beam Gen2 make a noticeable improvement?I’m using an LG C8 OLED, with Apple TV 4K connected via Arc as my primary source.  Thanks. 

I’m trying to sync up Spotify with both my Roam and Beam to play the same song through both speakers. The system in the Sonos app only seems to list one device at a time and won’t find the other when I try to add a product, despite Spotify detecting both products still. So when I choose grouping in Spotify, I can only play through the one device in the Sonos app system. I’ve tried resetting the speakers, apps, wifi and both devices have different IPs but nothing works. Can you help please?

Seriously, 400 MB, according to speed tests. I am getting gigabyte scale fiber optic Internet from CenturyLink, but the huge draw of the Sonos system is causing dropout when the fiber bandwidth dips.System: 4 sonos 1s, 2 sonos 5s, 1 sonos move. Streaming mp3s from Airplay on my Mac Mini M1 desktop.The Internet suggested changing the Wi-Fi channel that the Sonos operates on, but in my android control app, it only lists one channel (11), and there's no option to change it.What is going on here?

Has anyone successfully connected a turntable to a Sonos Play 5??? We’ve tried two different turntables, cords, preamps etc and the sound quality is terrible on all of them. Please let me know which turntables you’ve had success with! So far we’ve tried Fluance and Audio-Technica. Thanks!

Is it possible to force Sonos to use the 5 GHz band and thus avoid microwave interference?I have recently replaced some old Sonos devices with new S2 capable devices, so I have a mixture of Sonos Five, Sonos Port (all new) and Play:3 (older, not replaced). Three of them are hard-wired to the LAN, the rest rely upon wireless.My home WiFi network supports both 2.4GHz and 5GHz (same SSID) with two WAPs to provide good 5GHz signal throughout my house.My problem is that when I use my microwave a number of the devices lose the music stream (which is coming from a NAS hard-wired to the LAN).  This suggests Sonos is using 2.4GHz.  Is there anyway I can have the Sonos devices just use 5GHz all the time to avoid this issue?  

Suppose I have 2 “Rooms” set up.Room 1: Hi Fi Set of FivesRoom 2: Ray soundbar and a SubwooferFor listening to music from my music library in stereo, I want to group “Room 1” with “Room 2”. Physically rooms 1 and 2 are actually the same room. Assuming I can do this and I’m not at all sure I can given I’m grouping rooms with multiple speakers in each: Question 1: Will the stereo paired fives (Room 1) maintain their stereo status when grouped with the soundbar and subwoofer (Room 2)?Question 2: Will the sub act as a proper subwoofer, i.e. will the Sonos designed crossover still work?Question 3: Will the”Ray” play in stereo?Question 4: Could I reverse the process when i want to use the TV i.e. start with the “Ray and Subwoofer” (Room 2) and group with the “Hi Fi set of Fives” (Room 1) to use for TV sound?Thank You Sonophiles, much appreciated.

Not sure if this is the best forum spot to ask and get good answers.Sorry my first day as a ARC owner, or any Sonos product.Trying to setup and use my new ARC.My apple XS max is telling me I must update to use the ARC.Thinking it would be better to use with a old Sonos operating system.Is there a way to go back to old firmware?All helpful tips are welcome!Thank you!

Hi,I have an media library bigger than 65000 files. Sonos ist limited by 65000 files or faster by memory. Ist there a solution possible, perhaps a RaspberryPi media server? I think it is only possible by an supported service App for Sonos like SpotifyAny idea?TIA Dirk

I’ve just bought Beam gen2 so I can stream in the highest audio quality. However, the Plex app on my 2019 Shield seems to be struggling a little. The Dolby Vision logo keeps appearing every so often as if the video has just started although the stream is fine and lag free. This never happened when playing the 5.1 audio stream. Can anyone in a similar position recommend a solution? I’m using an LG B1

I changed my email on the account. I no longer use the old email. Now the speakers will not work with Alexa. Can someone please let me know what I need to do to resolve this?

I’m trying to use my Samsung remote to control the volume on my playbar. I used the app to set up IR control but when it comes to the first step, it doesn’t pick up the volume buttons on my remote. The only button on my remote that the playbar picks up is the power button. Whenever i press the power button during the setup, it continues and says my remote is setup. The power button on my remote is being used to turn off and on my tv and apparently control the volume on my playbar. Is there a fix for this?
