If the internet goes down, can I still use my Arc, Sub and SL One surround speakers?  Or do they always have to have internet to work correctly? I have the system all set up and working properly, and have 700 mbps on my internet down and up speeds with fiber, but was wondering if I’d lose the use of the speaker system during an internet failure. If I understand correctly, my Arc should work fine with the EArc hdmi to the TV, but will the sub and SL one surround speakers continue working without the internet?  My apologies if I’m sounding redundant with my question, I just wanted to clarify.

I was hoping to replace all of my Google Speakers with Sonos but when I say “Hey Google turn off the lights” (which is a custom Google Home routine it works though the Google devices but not Sonos devices.Thank you,Greg

Hi There, let me describe issue i have in my customers houses, i have set pretty strong wifi connection through  the house and i have a managed  switch with hardwired 7 amps i have couple arc on wifi and 3 another amp in  different rooms on wifi with access points near by. i have settled stp rout for 7 hardwired ones, network system start crashing after it worked couple month so where and what is wrong in my set up

Hi.  I received an e-mail offering 20% off Sonos accessories through tomorrow, 2/1/23.  The discount is supposed to be applied at checkout, without having to enter a promo code.  Two days ago, I ordered a pair of Sanus speaker stands, that appeared to be 20% off, but I was actually charged full price at payment, so I canceled.  Now, when I go back to sonos.com, none of the 20% off appears on any product despite the fact the sale is supposedly going on now.  I was signed in when I ordered.I tried reaching the sales team via chat and phone, but no one is available.  Does anyone know what is going on? 

I updated my internet provider and changed WiFi and can now only connect one of my three speakers. I even did a reset and got to to the point where the speaker is recognized, it makes the chime sound and then say can’t connect to WiFi? I’m hoping someone has an answer.thanks

I have two One SL speakers (Living Room and Bedroom) and up until today have been able to listen to Spotify on both at the same time. Now all of a sudden I can only select one or the other. I can still listen on both speakers via the iPhone Music and Podcast apps, the problem is only with Spotify (a service you have to add - could this be part of the problem?)I opened the Sonos app and only Living Room was showing in the system, and it couldn’t find Bedroom to add it. I messed around rebooting and connecting to another speaker in Spotify then noticed that my system was now showing Bedroom only, Living Room was gone. This has happened a few more times as I’ve gone through various troubleshooting methods (pressed the button on the back of the speaker, rebooted my router) - each speaker alternates showing in my system, and it doesn’t seem to to based on which is connected to Spotify. Right now I’m connected to Bedroom and it will play, but Living Room is the one showing in my system. Why

When I first received my Sonos system I loved it, still do but after moving I've become somewhat dissatisfied with the Sub. In my previous home, the sun hit low and hard now I can barely hear it.I noticed this be the first time I played it in my new home. My new house living room is a lot larger then my previous living room and has a high ceiling plus has somewhat of an open design. So naturally I thought I would have to play with the placement. I've been here for less than a year and have tried many different placements and nothing seems to work. I've found myself having to turn the sub volume up to 5 to get an almost pleasing result. I've tried placing the sub in my listening position and crawl around but nothing sounds particularly good.I got fed up a couple of days ago and took the sub upstairs to my home office which is a really small room. I updated which server my music is stored on and while Sonos and Plex can find the library, the Sonos Controller can't find the Plex library. There has been no network changes other than removing an out of date Netgear Nas. Any thoughts?

Although I can play HD or ultraHD content natively through the amazon music app, and I understand if I play amazon music through the S2 app I should see a badge for songs that are in HD or ultraHD quality, I don’t see the badge. To be precise, the HD badge shows for a split second then disappears. I am playing to an Arc + Sub (Gen 2) + 2xOneSL (surrounds). Any one have a solution?

Can a Sonos one tether to the internet through a mobile hotspot?

In the S2 app on my iOS device (which has had no recent OS or app updates) my main room, with Beam Gen2 and two One SLs as surrounds, has disappeared. My other room is working fine. On both my work iOS device and wife’s Android device I can see the room and play music through it, likewise it is working fine as soundbar for my TV. I found older posts saying lost rooms could be WiFi/router related but that doesn’t make sense given that other devices are fine.I powered off the Beam and it showed up in the app as disconnected, so I would have to reset everything to get it added again. I can do this if absolutely necessary but it seems weird when I have two other devices which can see the room fine.I have rebooted my phone and deleted and reinstalled the app and it made no difference.Has anyone had similar experiences or have any advice other than to reconfigure? I’m happy to keep this broken for a while if it helps with troubleshooting as it’s still working fine with other devices.

Sorry, not sure how to explain this concisely, but my set up (Beam + Sub + 2 x Play:1’s) suddenly stopped working properly yesterday, and now appears as 3 separate entries within the ‘System’ part of the App (see image below)  I’ve tried rebooting my router (SKY) several times, and I’ve also switched each of the Sonos items off and on several times, but can’t get it to join back together.  It currently has the Beam + Sub together, but each of the Play:1’s as separate entries, and I can’t work out how to fix that. Help! 

Mac any OS version -When I change something on Sonos ...e.g., volume, then close the app, in a few seconds it pops back up on my screen. Would love if it NEVER happened again. 

I recently had to redo my network and have since been struggling to get all Sonos product reconnected. Sonos support directed me to set up a 2.4 network for Boost. I did and two Sonos products (mac addresses 48:A6:B8:EC:75:9C and 48:A6:B8:EC:75:C2) still show as connected via 2.4 whereas all other Sonos now show as Boost wired connected as expected. What are the two that are not, do I need them to be connected wired, and if so, how do I do that?Sonos performance now seems about where it needs to be but there are still issues. I have eight One’s in pairs of two each, a Port running my non Sonos family room speakers, a Sonos soundbar, sub, and two more Ones in the rear of a separate home theater system upstairs. Occasionally, frequently enough to be annoying, one or more of the pairs will drop out, reconnecting a minute or so later.Between having major issues reconnecting Sonos and my home security cameras, just shoot me if I ever need to redo the network again.

We have a Playbar, Beam and a couple of 1 portable speakers, all of which we love.  We’d like to add a couple of outdoor (waterproof/resistant) speakers.  Here are my questions:Since we have a Sonos system, do we still need an amp?  (The Playbar is just off the patio, indoors). Would the outdoor system be considered a new system or can it integrate with our current system? I’m assuming the speakers still need to be plugged in, yes? Do the speakers communicate with the amp wirelessly?Thanks in advance!

Is it possible to play through more than one roam speaker at the same time?

  I am in the process of building a new house and we are in the framing stage. We are getting a new TV (Samsung Frame) which will be mounted over a fireplace. We currently have a Sonos Sound Bar , and two Ikea Bookshelf speakers set to surround sound.Mounting a Sound Bar is not going to be feasible above the fireplace since it is a frame TV.  Since we are willing to buy all new equipment and prefer to go ceiling, what us the best option? Do I need bookshelf Speakers? Also, we like to extend 2 ceiling speakers in the kitchen area to extend music or tv as well.

Pour info le vidéo projecteur que j ai en ma possession est un Xiaomi Comptact smart projector 2 ( ce n’est pas le vidéo projecteur de compétition, mais pour une chambre c’est pas mal ) mais le bémol sur ce projecteur c’est que je n’ai qu’une prise Jack, une sortie USB A et également une sortie HDMI, mais aucun moyen de connecter par la prise optique. I tried pairing my PC keyboard to my Kindle Fire HD8 which I primarily use as a sonos controller at my desk.I was able to type in the search bar and use the volume controls on the keyboard. I was wondering if there are shortcuts that will allow me to search, and select from search results? This would be amazing if possible.

So  I recently upgraded my old connect to a Sonos Port. The port is connected to my receive and passive 5 speaker system for home theater. I however play music through it plus zone 2 are outdoor speakers. I’ve been toying with the idea of a turntable and would prefer to connect it to the existing port. At least until I get a new 5 (gen 1 currently) but I’m not doin that until I see the Optimo. I assume no issues with this but I could just plug the Line in to the port but still use it with the speakers? Not clear if it can run line in turntable (amp obviously included with turntable) and still power the receiver aspect?
