i can access my friends system remotely

Hi,

I was at my friends house and connected to her system. When I returned home and put on music from spotify it started playing in her house over 200km away. 
 

this has also happened in my house once when my friend from another side of town tried playing from her spotify at home.

 

how is this possible since they were not in the same wifi?

It’s not Sonos’ software that allows you to do so. It’s the way Spotify Connect works. Your friend would need to play another streaming company’s music in order to “break” your Spotify Connect connection.
