Have you tried connecting to it using an S1 controller, and then going through the process of updating it to S2, before trying the S2 controller?
Also, at least temporarily, I suggest that you wire the unit to your network. While you fuss with this unit I suggest that you power down the S2 units.
Of course, we cannot rule out hardware issues with the CONNECT.
