I have a number of sonos speakers and voice control works perfectly. However, I have a pair of non-sonos speakers in my living room (fed by a port in another part of the house) and I want to voice control the system from the living room. Is there a way to do this. I have an Amazon echo dot in the living room but I can’t get it to transmit voice commands to the Sonos system. If I could get that to work it would solve the problem. I don’t want to buy a sonos speaker just for the microphone/voice control. Is there any type of device that could “talk” to sonos? As it is I have to walk into another part of the house to get Sonos to respond.

We’d been noticing for a few months that we’d go to use our Dinis speakers and on our app on either phone… some features were greyed out meaning Dinis would nt work. This was intermittent though. Then we got a new bt router and we can’t connect up the play 5 or 1…it gets as far as asking for password after it’s done tge chime but then no matter if I put in my wireless password /key or the admin password for hub manager or my sonos password … none will work and it just says can’t connect I know classed as old now but it seems to be crazy to have to replace these as when working sound great! can anyone help please?   

I have an s1 system with two connect amps. I just purchased a move 2. My understanding is that I need to remove the s1 devices first, using the s1 app. Support docs say to go to settings - system tools - remove products. This option does not exist on either my android or iPad s1 apps.  When I open the Sonos app (the newer one) I get stuck in an endless loop of trying to connect to my s1 products.Any ideas on what to do?edit: sorry, I just read that I need to factory reset the s1 products.

I am connected to sonos beam gen 2 and two sonos one speakers as surround. All works fine untill I turn off the TV and on again and then I don't get sound from my sonos. Only from my TV speakers. ARC is turned on on my TV settings and after diagnostics my TV can't find issues with the HDMI cable connect to sonos beam. When I change sources I can see sonos images on the TV but my remote control change the TV volumn not the sonos. Also on the mobile app i am changing to TV input and i am changing the volume up and down but it is not showing this changes on the TV screen and TV still play from it's speakers. After turn off beam gen 2 from power cable and connect again it connects automatically and all works fine untill I switch off the TV again. That happen when no other devices are connected to other HDMI ports. Any solutions? I changed 3 new HDMI cables so far and no difference  

Good evening,  I'm in the process of having a media wall installed and I have purchased 2 x era100, 1 x mini sub and 1 x 2nd gen  beam. Now my question is, is there an optimal way to set these up? bearing in mind my room or the layout to use better term will be offset. Let me add some texture.  Double doors central lead in to a long narrow-ish room. (6mtr x 3mtr). Straight in front of these double doors will be the centre of the media wall. The media wall will be 2.4mtr in width. Here comes the issue (Or hopefully no issue if you kind folk can advise me). I have an L shaped sofa to the left of the double doors facing the media wall. Then a snuggle chair to the right of the doors facing media wall. My natural first instinct is to wall mount the era100 to either side of the double doors with the beam under the tv and mini sun to one side of that.  I would appreciate any help on this.  Thanks  

I have an Arc connected to my tv, along with a Sub and 2 Era 100s. The sound is very good when I’m playing music over AirPlay, through all of the speakers. When I’m playing tv sound, the only speaker playing sound is the Arc. Nothing from the Era 100s. What did I do wrong?

As long as I downgrade the Sonos Move in the S2 app can I use a Sonos Move on the same system with a Sonos Play 3?

I can’t seem to get a simple answer from Customer service in my allotted time to speak to them. (Lunch break) I just received both the above ordered as a bundle. Came with a sweet RCA cable and no way to connect to the 5! I think it should be a Y connector of sorts. Any recs? (Why did they not suggest one as an add on for a 998 dollar purchase is beyond me!!)thanks!!  

I have the newest version of the Beam, the sub mini and 2 era 100’s. Is it worth it to add 2 era 300’s?

Hello, I have multiple Sonos SL speakers and a Sonos Five speaker (All hardwired). I am experiencing them falling offline randomly when listening to Spotify Premium. I notice the speaker will no longer show in the “Connect to device” list. I then reboot and the speaker shows up again. Any ideas? Please note I have replaced the router and switch with no change. Thank you in advance for any pointers. 

Hi all,I feel like I am going crazy so I am reaching out for some help from kind internet strangers.I recently purchased an Era 300 which I have been using to play records via bluetooth. This has been a pretty flawless experience so I decided to get a small bluetooth cd player as well. However, after trying three separate cd players I have had zero luck getting the 300 to play music from them. Each device will successfully connect and show up in the sonos app as connected under the bluetooth menu, but once they connect no music actually plays. All three CD players work with other smaller bluetooth speakers I have lying around the house so I don't think they are the issue. I know the bluetooth on the 300 works because of my record player, but there seems to be a specific issue of playing CDs over bluetooth and I am not smart enough to figure out the issue.Is this an issue anyone else has heard about? Am I missing something obvious? Any insight would be greatly appreciated.

…i contacted Sonos Support regarding my Sonos Beam Gen2 not putting out sound when hooked up to my TV Earc via HDMI.Sonos said this is an ongoing issue with Sonos and Samsung TVs, and that the Sonos Tech Dept is working, or has been working on this ongoing issue.Has anybody else been experiencing this issue, and if so, how long has this been going on for ?(rep had no info on this question)Thanks Sonos Fam! 

I currently have a Playbar, a Gen 2 Sub and two Play 1’s. I want to add speakers to my front and back porch and Sonos speakers are over 1500.00 EACH SET to do this. That’s over my budget so I’ve read that I might need a Connect or something similar to hook a Bluetooth transmitter to that so I can then connect Bluetooth speakers to them. Is this something that will work and does this sound like a good Audio plan?

Hi folks,So I recently got 2 Sonos 5s (3rd gen) and I am using them as stereo pair, both are updated to the latest software version (15.10 (build 76247142)). I mainly AirPlay from my iPhone and Apple Music into them and am also using the Apple Music app for playing music, volume control etc. The problem is when I am playing a playlist of songs, sometimes when I hit next to play the next song, my Sonos system plays a few seconds of the previously playing song (probably from its internal buffer) instead of the next song. If I wait a few seconds it starts playing the correct song though. This is a random behavior and it’s not happening every single time but I can easily reproduce it. I am not really sure if this is an AirPlay bug or it’s just Sonos but I am leaning towards Sonos. Any ideas why it’s happening and how to fix it maybe? 

Sonos 1 with sonos2 but won't update to the latest sonos 2 will not downgrade to sonos 1 either. Tried both wifi and ethernet cable 

Hello, I have a new Phone and New router, with Sonos Play 1 speakers. The router is 2.4G and 5G. I renamed the 5G so I can set up Sonos using the 2.4G connection. I connected my computer using the 2.4G, and tried to set up Sonos from the computer, but the PC controller told me I MUST set up with my phone. But….the Pixel will only allow a 5G connection which I cannot override to use the 2.4G connection. This means I cannot set up my sonos speakers. Any help would be appreciated.

We recently moved but took our existing wireless network with us - no changes to wireless configuration. Since move Sonos music pauses frequently for 5-10 seconds and sometimes skips.  It happens from multiple iPhones. Ping testing is normal for latency with minimal timeouts.  Wireless speed is over 1400 Mbps to the gateway.  No other signs of interference or latency.System is one playbar with sub grouped, and two Play:3 units.  Pause happens on all of them regardless of playing mode.  Any thoughts out there?  

Hello.I have recently bought a new TV Philips 55pus8818 the one  2023.I have previously connected my Sonos Arc+2 One SL+ mini sub audio home theater to my old Philips television that did not have eARC without any problem.Right now with my new television I get the following message:“Your HDMI audio system supports eARC, we recommend that you use ultra high speed cable to play high bit rate audio via HDMI 2 (eARC) output.” Is the ultra high speed hdmi cable supplied by Sonos with Arc ?Assuming it's only high speed If I change this cable for an ultra high speed one, Will I have better audio apart from not getting this message anymore?Thank you. 

When I ask Google Assistant to play a song on my Sonos One, she will start the song while telling me “OK, playing song x on Youtube Music” causing me to miss the first few seconds of the song. Is there any way to fix this? Either wait to start the song until the talking is done, or just not talking. In the grand scheme of things, I can live with this, but it is annoying.

I have three Sonos speakers (two Play: 1 and one Play: 3). Yesterday I bought the Pro-Ject E1-BT turntable (bluetooth).If I wanted to listen the music of my new turntable on my Sonos speakers, I would have to buy the basic Sonos Connect or the amplified model (Sonos Connect Amp)? Thank you,Andrea

How to turn pff sonos arc?

I have several Sonos componets: amps, variety of speakers, when I leave the house the system shuts down or stops playing music.  I prefer my music to be playing 24/7, I turn the system on using an iPad that stays at the house but for some reason it shuts down when I leave.  Could it be because I used my iPhone to setup the system?  Thanks!
