Sometimes, when trying to listen to a tunein radio station, we receive a “This station is no longer available on Sonos radio”. Next time I try, I can listen to that same station. It’s frustrating because there’s no reason given other than that message and it happens unexpectedly. I’m committed to Sonos with a number of devices but seriously thinking aobout moving to another service. Are there solutions?

There’s all sorts of possibilities, some in your control, others not. The first thing I’d look at is the potential for wifi interference . If the speakers can’t reach TuneIn, that error would show up. I’d also look at the potential for duplicate IP addresses, by unplugging all Sonos devices from power, then rebooting your router. Give the router a couple of minutes before plugging back in your Sonos devices.

But if the issue is somewhere between your router, and TuneIn, and then to the radio station’s server, there isn’t much you can do, other than register your concern with the radio station. They would be the folks who could fix their server, or their connection to TuneIn.

Does anyone from Sonos check this site? I’d be interested to hear if they can rule out whether this comes from them.

Unlikely, TuneIn has their own employees, it would be unusual for Sonos to dedicate employee effort to a system they don’t make money from. Much like they don’t have their own employees check Apple, Amazon, or Google’s websites. To my knowledge, they depend on customer feedback for data shown on www.status.sonos.com.

Hi folks, having similar issues streaming radio stations via TuneIn. The TuneIn stream, when using various local stations seems to cut out and repeat itself also adding more ads which is very frustrating.

I have tried to select stations via SONOS Radio but some of them seem to come through TuneIn… SONOS personnel need to advise.

This is a Sonos community forum. If you want an ‘official’ response, you need to call Sonos Support directly to discuss it.

My suspicion, based on your post, is that your speakers are having issues staying connected to your router. Most likely, this is due to wifi interference.

Different issue here …

TuneIn on Sonos  is working with one station ( ABC lounge Jazz) but gives a “no longuet avaible on TuneIn” message for another (BFM Business) … this can not be WiFi interference … I have 16 Sonos and it is identical on everyone … on the top of that the station (BFM Business) is working on TuneIn site on internet explorer …

this is probably a compatibility issue between Sonos - TuneIn

Have you done as I suggested on your other thread?
