I have a local network that has “smart connect”, meaning that the Wi-Fi SSID (and password) is the same for both the 2.4GHz and 5GHz networks. A device, if 5GHz-capable, will connect to the 5GHz Wi-Fi by default.The problem seems to be that my phone, which is 5GHz-capable, will always connect to the 5GHz network, with no option to alternatively select the 2.4Ghz network.When this happens, attempting to add a new Play:1 (2.4GHz only) using the Sonos Android app will hang and never complete, I am assuming, due to the fact that my phone is on the 5GHz network.Disabling “smart connect” and naming the 2.4GHz network differently than the 5GHz network so that I can explicitly connect to that radio will be too disruptive to my IoT devices and everything else in my home that uses Wi-Fi. I do not have access to a device with only a 2.4GHz radio that I can use to configure the speaker either.Does anyone have any suggestions? Also, when did this become so difficult, Sonos? I have just bought a new Samsung TV and it connects and works ok with my Sonos Playbar, connected via an optical cable. The TV smart remote will not however control the volume on the Sonos Playbar. I think that the only way for this to work is via the HDMI/ARC connection. The Playbar however doesn’t have an HDMI connector. Can anyone suggest any way of solving this, (other than upgrading to a Sony ARC!)? Is there an Optical to HDMI adapter out there that might work to solve this?

Hi all , just got a new Samsung Galaxy S24+ , the pull down notification for the Sonos seems to partly miss the speech enhancement button , anyone else have a new Samsung with this little hick up ???? 

I have had a Roam SL for 17 months and it was great. My wife tells our friends I carried it throughout the house like a little kid does a blanket. Most of the time, I returned it to the charging base within a couple of hours, never more than 8 hours.Christmas day I was listening to Sonos radio waiting for guests to arrive. When they came, they asked to watch football so I stopped the Roam, but did not return it to the charging base. The next morning I went for my Roam but it was not on the charging base. I located it and returned it to the base. When I got home from work, there were no lights on the Roam after 9-10 hours on the charging base. I checked the Sonos app and the Roam was listed as “not connected”. The next day I tried using the USB-C port to recharge my Roam. The Orange battery light came on and after a while the white light by the Sonos logo started blinking, I was hopeful that it would come back to life, but the battery does not take the recharge. hello , My existing home setup is made up of 4 speakers and sound bar all gen2 I think , which i believe don't support Bluetooth connectivity . I recently purchase a high end turntable which has Bluetooth , I have seen a video where if i purchase an additional “move “speaker which has the Bluetooth connectivity i should be able to cast from that to my existing setup via the wifi , .. Can anybody offer some advice, will this work .. Really don't want to buy a new sound system

Hi I get confused by Sonos systems :Pi have a Sonos 5 and Soundbar  and would like to add a turntable if I have a Turntable and buy a Sonos amp that i connect it towill the Sonos amp share the music from the turntable to the speakers via WIFI? I;d rather not use wires... thanks!

This is from Sonos end and a link between spotify. This is not network related!I have lives in 3 different countries; Belgium, Netherlands & Malta. So my dns was different as my network to. Ive tried multiple network settings.The problem is everywhere the same with Spotify - Liked songs.Playing music from the Spotify app to sonos is not a problem but I don’t like this way because it’s lags.Tried it with different devices; Iphone, Android, Windows, iMac… nothing changes.Also made a new Sonos account and connected my Spotify and that from my wife and the result is the same. The liked song from Spotify give an “Error 701 Can't add songs to the queue”.On Spotify’s behave I can’t find a topic nor a solution.I had also considered to undouble my Spotify playlist and liked songs and this was without any results.I have Beam Gen 2, Roam, 2 Play1. On all the devices it’s the same result. I have called in no one can help me. I just received a replacement Roam portable speaker after the originally-purchased unit failed and would not accept a charge.  I would like to enter the new device’s serial number in my account, but I cannot find a way to do so once logged into my account on the website. Can anyone help?ThanksAa

I have a ZonePlayer 120 that has been in storage for a few years. I. just found a new use for it thankfully. However, I can not seem to get it connect via my Sonos S1 app. When I try a factory reset (unplugging and then reconnecting while plugging power back in) it simply blinks a brief white light and then nothing else. I have held the button in for several minutes and nothing alse happens. The S! app does not see the ZP120. Anyone have any ideas?

Hi-   I have a few of the Connect S15 devices.  One is continuously in a reboot cycle.  I’ve pulled power and plugged back in.  Still does it.   I disconnected all lines going to it with only power being applied, still does it.  Held the play/pause button down while applying power, gets to the orange light (flashes a few times) then reboots.   Is it a lost cause? Thanks!

My current Sono’s setup is a Beam 2 on my main TV in the living room. And a Roam in the bed room.I’m looking to expand my system to add a turntable and an external phono pre amp. I live alone so the room will be a dedicated space intended for just this audio setup. However there might be times where I would want to stream some vinyl to the other rooms but it wouldn’t be the norm. I can’t be 2 places at once. 😉So right now I can afford…1 Sonos Five or Era 300 (possibly adding a second of either in the future)OR2 Sonos Era 100’s So I thought I’d like to hear some other peoples opinions and how they have, or would approach this scenario. I think it would help in making my decision. Please note I have read some other questions and and set up posts, but this is more about the budget constraint and the options I have. Knowing that the system could always be upgraded later.Let me know what you think. 

As the title says - I am having issue getting ATMOS to passthrough Samsung QN75Q7DRAF to SONOS Arc from Sony - UBP-X800M2 The Samsung does NOT have eArc only Arc - I had an AppleTv 4K which I discovered will not pass ATMOS through to reg arc only eArc - anyone know if the Sony has the same issue?   I have searched other threads and made the changes on the Sony Blu-Ray and still no luck Built in TV Apps like AppleTV/Disney etc DO send ATMOS mix to the Sonos Arc, and if I use Sonos App, I get ATMOS from both AppleMusic or Amazon Music. This all frustrating because I am trying to go more minimalist and got rid of a Denon AVR3500, Polk floor standers & center channel and an Outlaw LFM-x1 sub to go all Sonos - Really going to suck if the TV is the now the weak link in the chain! I don't see any updates that were made by Samsung to upgrade the ARC port to eARC (if even possible) Is there any kind of adaptor that could fix this? 

I have a turntable connected to the Sonos AMP and the volume is very very low. At first the low volume was also accompanied by a hum, which disappeared when I connected the ground wire to one of the RCA inputs of the AMP.However the volume is still low even when I set the Source Level to Level 10 (high). I have connected other sources to the RCA input, such as the TV or a CD player and they work correctly. What other solutions can I try? Translated with www.DeepL.com/Translator (free version)

I set my Era 100 to 30% Autoplay Volume. When I start my Chromebox at night, it connects automatically, and the volume is set to 30%.On the next morning, I want to listen to (quiet) music when I’m working. Have a Frame TV with Samsung Ultra Thin Soundbar with Dolby Atmos (wife thinks the ARC is too big).  Am I correct that I can play my Sonos music through the Samsung soundbar with the Port, but there is no way to pair the soundbar with Sonos rear speakers for surround sound?

Today is not a good day.What I really want to do is reset EVERYTHING and start again. Others have asked the same question and yet nobody has so far answered it, suggesting it’s not necessary. Well, maybe this time it is.I have 5 speakers set up as 5 zones. They all run Sonos 2 software. I use an iPhone6 which my Sonos App no longer supports. I therefore need to move to Sonos 1 software.To move to Sonos 1 software I have to use the Sonos 2 App to downgrade each speaker (apparently).However, one of my speakers is not connected and when I try to connect it in the Sonos 2 App it first checks for an App update and then (because my phone is no longer supported) it can’t do it. And that’s as far as I get.So ... I would like to make my day a little better and take me entire Sonos network back to the beginning and start again.Is it really that hard for someone to tell me how to do that?Sorry for sounding ungrateful, but it really is a bad day and I miss my tunes.

I have money left on a Sonos gift card that I wanted to apply towards a purchase with the remaining amount paid on a credit card.  I could not process the order and the website said to contact a sales associate. The associate informed me that Sonos cannot combine payments which means that I am limited to using the gift card on products that cost less than the available balance on the card.   So, anyone who has a Sonos gift card that is less than any product they sell effectively loses the entire value of the card because they cannot combine it with another form of payment.  How is this even possible?

Some providers services such as Tidal provide 24 bit support but Sonos don’t implement it.It appears that currently Sonos only provides 24 bit support for Amazon Music services, when will other suppliers be supported?

I’m looking to replace my old Samsung 49in TV with a new 55in TV, but can’t decide on a brand or model.I’d like to finally enjoy Atmos soundtracks (my current TV has no eArc connection, so eArc is a must), but also want to enjoy older blurays with DTS soundtracks (which has involved setting up my Samsung player to convert DTS to Dolby Digital). I’ve seen several people claim LG TVs no longer support DTS output, but I’m not sure if this is true...Most of my viewing is bluray/4k (though my current TV really doesn’t show much of a difference between regular bluray and 4k) and gaming via PS5.So, basically … can anyone recommend anything that’ll play nicely with my Beam (which is set up with two Play 1s and a Sub Mini) and give me the most faff-free surround/Atmos experience?Trying to keep the budget under around £800 unless it’s something exceptional.Thanks in advance for any advice! Should also say: It’s a Beam Gen 2!Moderator edit: combined posts

I have had a Sone One using Alexa for a couple of years.  I have now bought a Beam to add to my network.  That has all connected to Sonos and my TV now.  I tried to get the Beam added to my Alexa account last night.  It goes through process through logging in to my Amazon account and choosing a language (English) but then fails with “Something has gone wrong”!Anyone have any thoughts? 

I have an old Quad 33/303 set up that I love and works very nicely with my turntable and Sonos Port as sources. It has a line-level output that I connect to the Port’s Line In so that I can listen to the Turntable in other zones. However, I have to turn the volume up on the other zones WAY higher than from other sources. The 33/303 Line Level output is adjustable, and I’ve set it to it’s max (“H” in the table below). The Port’s input settings are set to 1 (low) and it’s still too quiet. Not distorted, but just too low.What are the actual line-in sensitivity levels of the Port? I can in theory change the component values in the 33/303 to output more than 100mV, but I’d like to know what the Port’s inputs are in order to choose correct values.

I have an XGIMI horizon pro 4K projector and newly bought a Sonos Ray. How can I connect my connector with the Sonos Ray sound bar wirelessly?  I just did some research, and it sounds like Sonos Ray doesn’t support bluetooth. Is there any alternative way?
